Chapter 1512: Revised: Chapter 927: Stone Coffin Altar_2
The Butcher spoke again, his smile unshaken, completely different from the absolutely ruthless figure who once killed Kings as easily as chopping vegetables, like slaughtering pigs. He seemed like a sunny uncle from next door.
“Just as you say, senior.” The old quasi-King nodded repeatedly like a pecking chicken, showing utmost respect.
Speaking of seniority, the Butcher was likely older and more ancient than his father, who would also need to show respect if he were present.
“Take me to the eroded area.”
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, the Butcher wasted no time and got straight to the point.
His words were concise and forceful, leaving no room for doubt.
The old quasi-King quickly responded and respectfully led the way.
They traversed the desolate lands of the Frontier Wilderness, heading toward the area eroded by mysterious power.
Along the way, all they saw was desolation and decay. The once vibrant scenery had been replaced by darkness and stillness, as if an invisible force had sucked the life out of the world, leaving everything in ruins.
Yet within that desolation, there was an eerie, incongruous vitality that was indescribable.
As they ventured deeper, only the old quasi-King and the Butcher remained. Others dared not go further to avoid contamination and were allowed to return.
The air grew thick with an oppressive and eerie aura, causing the Butcher to frown.
Although it was not his first encounter with such powers, each time he faced them, he could feel their profound terror.
What do you think?
