Chapter 42  Blood Shadow Army!

The Behemoth Blood Shadow charged through the battlefield like a juggernaut, trampling a smaller Titan with his massive feet before grabbing another and tearing it in half at the waist, spraying steaming blood across the ash colored ground.

Lucian himself targeted the largest remaining Titan, a seventeen-meter tall monstrous beast with a mouth that split its face from ear to ear, giving it a kind of a devilish and horrifying smile.

He launched himself toward it, the Dragon Soul Devourer blazing with accumulated power from the blood it had harvested.

"Nine Revolving Dragon Spear, Fourth Move: Devouring Abyss!"

The spear's form seemed to waver and distort, the air around it darkening as if light itself was being consumed. When it connected with the Titan's chest, it didn't simply pierce flesh, it disintegrated it.

"KA-BOOM!!!"

A sphere of absolute destruction expanded outward from the point of impact, disintegrating everything it touched. The Titan's torso vanished, leaving its head, arms, and legs to fall separately to the ground with dull, heavy thuds.

Lucian landed amidst the scattered body parts, his body trembling as he grew even stronger. He surveyed the battlefield. His Blood Shadows were handling the remaining Titans. Baltzer had crushed another creature's spine with Kings Judgement, while the Behemoth Blood Shadow had literally torn the arms off a Titan before beating it to death with its own hand.

Only two Titans remained, the fear was eminent in their eyes. But it was as though their DNA needed human blood, they craved it as though they needed life. This drove them to attack even more ferociously. Lucian didn't move. He stood perfectly still as though he was courting death and didn't care about his life any longer.

The two Titans charged from opposite directions, massive hands reaching for him, mouths wide enough to swallow an entire building.

Lucian waited, treating them as air. Just when the Titan had covered him with their shadows and were about to reach him, their bodies suddenly froze mid-flight and in the blink of an eye, they were yanked off like puppets on ropes. Lucian Blood Shadows instantly ganged up on them as they ripped the two Titans to shreds. Blood, flesh paste, intestine, brain matters and bone fragments spilt through the air in a colorful display, almost like art as blood showered the ground like a lake.

"HSSSSS!"

Baltzer approached, dragging a Titan's severed head behind him as if it were a trophy. The Lizardman King's crimson form was covered in steam as various wounds continued to heal, but his posture was proud.

"Bang!"

A kick landed in Baltzer head, making him jump in shock. But then it realized who it was and immediately put on an expression of someone who had been incredibly wronged. "You think I will forget what you did, eh?" Lucian smiled evilly as he landed on the ground softly. Baltzer immediately knelt to the ground, a pitiful expression on its face as it seem as though it was sobbing.

Lucian was already having a headache at this intelligent Blood Shadow of his. It already knew how to act pitifully, what about next time, won't it become an ass-kisser?

"Hmph!"

He snorted and chose to ignore it. The four Blood Shadow Titans formed a protective circle around Lucian, their massive forms creating a massive wall of flesh that would deter any further attackers. Steam rose from their bodies as they regenerated the damage they had sustained during the battle, consuming Lucian's mana in the process.

However, he knew the amount mana potion that would fill his mana and his reservoir amulet would not be little. Hence, buying a technique was more practical. "Maybe I should learn to craft mana potions."

Lucian muttered softly. However he didn't have time to think too much about it. He needed to regain as much mana as he possibly could.
