Chapter 40 - Teach Me
Chapter 40: 40 - Teach Me
(Raven’s POV)
"Wow, nice."
I can’t help but be delighted as I looked at the transparent window floating in front of me.
=====
[8636] CP
=====
I received a lot of character points from the transcend beings because of my fight with Levina.
They apparently enjoyed it and gave me a lot of [CP] in exchange.
I immediately went to the [System Shop] and selected [Request].
I looked at the [Timed Products], but there’s nothing useful there, so I just ignored it.
=====
<What’s your request?>
> [REQUEST INPUT HERE]<
=====
"What’s with this section’s design? It sucks."
I said as I put in my request.
=====
[Skill: Psychokinesis]
=====
I’ve always wanted this skill as it will help me drastically in fights.
But I can’t find a skill book of it, even in the [Paradise].
"Am I using this right?"
I was confused, as it’s my first time using the [Request] feature of the [System Shop].
Luckily, it seems like everything is good, as I received a reply immediately.
=====
[SKILL]
<Psychokinesis Lvl.1>
-Able to move anything within your range.
-The mana usage is based on how heavy and big the thing you want to move.
-Range and force of the skill increase based on the skill level and your proficiency.
-----
<Acquire it for [5000] CP>
=====
I frowned at the amount of [CP] I need to pay to get the skill.
"I thought it would only be about 1500 CP."
I grumbled, squinting my eyes. I started thinking to myself if it’s worth it... But then, after a while—I bought it still anyway.
=====
[SKILL ACQUIRED]
<Psychokinesis Lvl.1>
=====
Nothing changed in my body, but I should have the skill already.
So to test it out...
I took out my [Black Dagger] and threw it at a nearby tree.
Thud—
And after that, I activated <Psychokinesis> and tried to use it on the dagger.
Fwoosh—
The [Black Dagger] then flew back into my hand, just as I imagined in my head.
"This is it..."
I muttered with a satisfied smile on my face.
Anyway, following that—I tried requesting [Rank Limit Remover] and [Attribute Upgrader] from the [System Shop], but they were too expensive. I can’t even afford to raise my rank limit to <D+>, and I can’t even raise my compatibility with the wind attribute, not even a bit.
’Looks like I have no choice but to find a way myself to surpass my rank limit... Should I find Captain Yami in this world to help me?’
I thought jokingly.
(BC reference :v)
As for the wind attribute thing, I already have a plan for that.
*****
Some time later...
"Let’s go."
Clifford said that, and we all started marching forward.
I’m still with the [Coldvale] guild as they said that I should come back to Earth with them to be safe, which I didn’t refuse since I’m not stupid.
’Who wouldn’t want a free and safe bus ride?’
I thought while smiling inwardly.
So, I’m going to be with them until we all leave this dungeon.
The system said that the time here is 1.75 times slower than Earth’s, so we have a week left to kill the boss and clear this place.
’Or maybe less.’
Anyway... It’s already dark, and we’re now looking for a place to rest since the meadow that was perfect for that was destroyed by Levina’s lightning attacks earlier.
-There’s a good place there.
Levina said, pointing in the northeast direction.
She was guiding us to a safe zone.
She said she knows the [Mysterious Woodland] more than anyone else, which is not surprising as she was born here.
She also knows a lot of locations where good materials are, and she even knows where the boss monster is.
Of course, Levina didn’t voluntarily help Clifford and the others.
But when I asked her, she cooperated without hesitation.
I even requested her to be our guide. In which, she immediately accepted.
’I can actually force Levina to do things for us since she’s my servant, but it feels wrong, so let’s not...’
I thought and shrugged internally as I continued following the others.
*****
When we reached the safe zone not long after... I started cooking food and distributing them to everyone.
And while I was doing that—
"You’re so cute!"
-Kyuuu!
I saw Levina patting Yuki’s head from a distance.
Yuki didn’t like her at first because she attacked me, but later on, they got along with each other. Maybe that’s because her existence is similar to a spirit—or at least that’s what Levina and the system said.
Levina is in her human form right now, it’s actually her true appearance. Spirits can just transform into a small fairy-like version of themselves.
Just as what I wrote about them. I made them as stealthy as possible since they’re supposed to be hard to find.
’Well, she’s beautiful in her real form.’
I thought as I finally got a better look at Levina’s face. Comparing her looks to supermodels is like belittling her, really.
Anyway, as I was watching her playing with Yuki... Something came to mind.
"Levina might be stronger than the spirit that Alec will be contracted with in the future."
I saw her trait <Superior Spirit>... The one Alec will meet doesn’t have that.
’Though honestly... I’m kind of happy that I have something better than what the protagonist of my novel will have.’
Just as I was thinking of that—
"Why are you smiling? You need another kiss?"
A teasing but beautiful voice was heard from my side.
My head snapped in the direction it. Then I saw Levina’s face near mine.
And at her words just now, I remembered something that made me frown.
"Huh? Why?"
She asked, tilting her head.
"Why did you kiss me earlier? That’s not needed to form a contract, right?"
I asked back.
I just needed to drink Levina’s blood to form a contract with her. That’s what I wrote in my novel when Alec made a contract with the fire spirit.
It’s the same process used to form contracts with demons to become a majin.
Anyway, at my question—Levina just looked at me casually before opening her mouth.
"Hmm... Because I just want to?"
She said with a face that’s asking like, "What’s wrong with that?"
"Isn’t it natural to do what you want even if some will look at you weirdly?"
Then she added with an innocent tone.
"Wow, that’s... I didn’t expect such words from you."
I was really surprised by that. She sounded really smart there.
"Huh?! What are you talking about?! I’m a noble superior being, so it’s natural that I’m knowledgeable!"
Levina then exclaimed as she read my thoughts. Fucking mind link.
Anyway, I know that Levina is smart based on her stat... But she seems like an airhead because of her childish actions and her lack of common sense about humans and our culture.
Which is actually understandable because she’s not human and she haven’t met one before us.
Moving on...
"Anyway, what do you need from me?"
I changed the topic as Levina was getting louder and louder, explaining how smart she is.
"Ah! Right."
She looked straight at me.
"I’m gonna train you so you can use your electric attribute efficiently."
Then she declared that, puffing her chest out proudly.
’Oh, she’s quite thoughtful. I thought I’d need to ask her directly to teach me.’
The corner of my lips rose into a smile.
I stood up and looked at Levina.
"Sure."
I replied.
"I knew you’d agree! So let’s start n–"
"But not now."
Then I cut her words midway. Levina frowned.
"Why?"
"Hmm... I need to do something. Let’s start tomorrow, okay?"
At my answer, Levina squinted her eyes and pouted.
"Hmph! Fine, tomorrow morning, okay?"
I can’t believe this girl is a noble being. She’s acting way too childish.
’It’s cute, though.’
I’d be lying if I said she wasn’t.
"Sure, tomorrow morning."
I replied to her.
And after my conversation with Levina ended...
I went to where Clifford and Oscar were. They were resting near a gigantic tree as they had just finished eating.
"Hmm, is something wrong?"
Oscar asked as I approached them. At his question, Clifford looked in my direction too.
I looked at them seriously.
"Please... teach me."
Then I muttered that in a clear and determined voice.
What do you think?
