Re: In My Bloody Hit Novel

Chapter 715 715: Chiron Vs The Elf Guard

The room trembled.

Chiron calmly placed his glass down.

In that instant, a spike of stone jutted from beneath his stool, aiming straight for his heart.

But Chiron was no fool.

His entire form rippled—a distortion of cursed energy—as a serpent exploded from his cloak, coiling around the stone and snapping it in half before it could connect.

The Elf was already in motion.

He moved. But it was not with speed, but with control—each footfall summoning vines, stone pillars, jagged boulders, and terrain-born weapons.

Clearly, he used earth element, just like the priest Chiron had killed.

The elf's body was surrounded by a faint golden hue—true gold rank aura, refined over centuries of his long life.

This one was the real deal.

"Stonebreath Style: Verdant Prison."

Walls of earth erupted around Chiron, forming a spiraling cage of jagged rock and thorned roots. But Chiron didn't even flinch. A dozen ghostly snakes, black and pale green with flickering tongues, slithered out of his sleeves.

"Feeding time," he whispered.

The snakes detonated, unraveling into acidic fog and curse glyphs that devoured the walls, turning solid stone into crumbling ash.

The Elf frowned. He could clearly sense Chiron's power.

He should be stronger. Beyond that, he had a life time of experience. Although he had been on this island foe many years and had not seen battle for a long time, that did not mean that he was weak.

In fact, he was anything but weak.

The Elf came in close—fast. He dropped low, spun, and launched his elbow into Chiron's gut with an impact like a collapsing mountain. The floor cracked under the force. Chiron's body slid backward, boots dragging on wood—until he flipped mid-air, twisting like a serpent, and landed cat-like.

"You hit like a man who has lived too long," Chiron said with a grin.

The Elf didn't reply. He was already pressing in again, his palm glowing with elemental sigils as he slammed it into the ground.

"Stonebreath Style: Earthen Conviction!"

An armored golem burst from the floor, stone-sinewed and roaring. It swung a heavy fist, but Chiron's body twisted unnaturally, slipping around the attack like water.

His hand went up—and from his palm, a black serpent-shaped brand lashed out like a whip.

"Curse Brand: Rotting Lineage."

The golem shuddered—its left side withered instantly, the curse erasing its energy signature. It fell apart like decaying clay.

The Elf didn't hesitate. He was already charging through the debris, one arm shifting into solid rock, the other pulling a hidden dagger infused with earth treasure runes.

Close range.

Fists clashed with serpent heads.

Daggers clashed with hexes.

He needed to kill Chiron. Chiron was too much of a threat.

In all his years, they had only been one reason any one was searching for him. And that had been because they knew. They knew that he guarded the gates to the elven lands.

That place had been secret for a thousand years now.

The elves needed time to develop again before they faced the world.

It was his duty as guard to ensure their safety. And he had done it well.

But there was a problem. All the others had been authority figures like the church or the Zodiac Families.

Or even bounty hunters sent by the powers of other continent.

But never has it been a lone rogue warrior like the one before him.

Even worse, Chiron was known to be a living breathing disaster.

He had to stop him. He had to stop him now. And so he called upon all his skills over his long life.

The Elf fought like a master—like someone who had seen thousands of battles. His footwork shifted between aggressive assault and subtle retreats. He read Chiron's tempo, adjusted his angles, predicted his strikes.

Chiron noticed.

"Impressive…" he muttered mid-duck, dodging a slab of stone meant to pierce his spine.

The Elf didn't let up. His fingers traced a symbol in mid-air, and suddenly dozens of floating rocks hovered around him. They snapped forward in unison.

Chiron was forced back, slapping glyphs on his arms. Curse snakes slithered from his skin again, hissing violently.

But even with all of it—even as the Elf pressed harder, Chiron smiled.

That grin never left his face.

It bothered the Elf.

And then Chiron spoke:

"...She had your eyes, you know. And the ears—only half as long, but still there. Beautiful brown hair. Skin like she'd kissed the stars."

The Elf froze for a half-second.

"What did you just say?" His tone dropped into quiet rage.

"Your daughter," Chiron said casually, as if he were commenting on wine. "She cried as she died. Pity, I doubt she even knew what a father's embrace felt like... you did leave her to wonder. Did you not? Well, she fell in my clan. The chikitsa clan."

"...But considering your capable hands and resources, I am sure you long heard the news."

The Elf roared.

Stone slammed from every direction as he charged. His body became a force of nature, fists and blades and the earth itself lashing out in rage and power.

Chiron blocked one strike, evaded another—but the Elf was overwhelming him.

He had calculated Chiron's movements—how he baited attacks, the slight pause before switching stance, the moment his snakes took form. The Elf read it all.

And then…

He struck.

"Die!!"

The ground erupted, fists of stone surged toward Chiron from below as the Elf appeared above, dagger glowing.

But Chiron's grin just… widened.

"Too predictable," he whispered.

A bright blast of flame erupted from Chiron's palm—a condensed orb of molten fury—blasting through the Elf's stomach mid-strike.

Blood, fire, and ash danced in the air.

The Elf dropped to the ground, coughing, eyes wide.

"You… you have dual energies?" he choked, staring at the flames licking out of Chiron's palm.

Chiron twirled his finger, the fire coiling like a living spirit around it.

Then he smirked and said, "Actually… I have a lot more than two. I find that it is easy to truck people and use one. But what I'm I saying? Of course you know. After all, you did plan yo do the same thing. Well not use different energies.... but elements. Definitely."

The Elf coughed up some blood, "how... how do you know? Even my daughter..."

"Yeah... It's a long story. But yes, I know that you can also use the fire element."

Chiron knew this because of his knowledge of the book. In the novel, this Elf had used both elements

Dual elemental ability was a very rare privilege. One that only nobel and royal family members of the elves had.

This Elf had been such a person. But his relations with a human gave him a half breed which was seen as a disgrace to Elf bloodline.

But he loved his daughter. Instead, he choose to have honor and leave the Elf lands—Taking the task of its protector.

Even if Chiron did not truck him in their fight, he was planning on doing the same thing.

"Please... my daughter. What was her last words.."

SLASH

Chiron removed his head. He could not be bothered with the request of an old dying man.

"Such a fool. You shouldn't have given the priest your treasure. The fight would have been more interesting."
