Chapter 37: Chapter 37: You Really Don’t Know Whether to Live or Die Chapter 37: Chapter 37: You Really Don’t Know Whether to Live or Die She got out of the taxi and hurried to the check-in counter.

Since she had bought the ticket online, she went straight to the security check after getting her boarding pass.

Everything was normal after passing the security check.

Tang Yu found a corner to sit down in.

She hadn’t sat for five minutes before she noticed several men in black suits talking to the airport staff, occasionally glancing over here.

They looked a lot like Ye Sihan’s bodyguards.

They had caught up so quickly!

Tang Yu’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly put on the hood of her jacket, bowed her head, hoping not to be seen.

But the bodyguards seemed to have noticed something odd here and headed straight toward Tang Yu.

Tang Yu knew she couldn’t hide anymore and grabbed her bag to run.

“Stop!” the bodyguard yelled.

Instead of stopping, Tang Yu ran even faster.

She raced toward another exit, where there were too many people, occasionally bumping into someone and continually apologizing.

Almost running blindly, whenever she saw a path, she took it, running up the escalator.

Looking back, she saw the same men getting on the escalator, and Tang Yu, desperate, started running up the escalator.

As soon as she got on, she saw two more bodyguards approaching from the front.

Caught between a rock and a hard place, Tang Yu turned and ran to the right.

She continued running while looking for the exit signs.

The airport was just too big. Going up, then down again, and running wildly in all directions, she finally saw the exit, like a light at the end of the tunnel.

Just as she was about to hail a taxi, a black luxury car sped towards her and came to an abrupt stop in front of her.

Tang Yu stepped back in fright, her eyes wide with panic as she watched the car door opening, revealing Ye Sihan inside; her heart threatened to leap out of her throat.

“I’ve caught you.” Ye Sihan’s cold black eyes lifted, terrifying to behold.

Tang Yu turned, only to find the approaching bodyguards had blocked her way out, surrounding her from all directions.

There was no escape.

“Are you getting in yourself, or do I need to help you?” Ye Sihan’s presence was commanding and menacing.

Passersby had already started to look over, the black Rolls-Royce, and the roughly twenty-year-old girl in front of the car door seemed panicked. What was she doing?

Tang Yu didn’t want to be ‘handled’ by Ye Sihan in full view of the public. With her limbs going weak, she tremblingly approached the car door.

The car seemed like the gaping maw of a devil, ready to devour her completely.

As soon as she got in the car, the door shut, and the vehicle immediately drove away.

“Did I say you could sit?” Ye Sihan said sternly, looming over her. “Kneel.”

Enduring the humiliation, Tang Yu knelt next to Ye Sihan’s long legs, head bowed, her shiny black hair blocking out the light from outside but not her fear.

“Don’t you have anything to say? Huh?”

“I… I just wanted to confirm that I wasn’t playing hard to get. I really wanted to leave…”

Her jaw was suddenly seized, lifting her face—
“Hmm!” Tang Yu’s face was upturned, her slender neck taut to the extreme, gasping for breath.

“I didn’t expect you would be so bold, actually daring to run away.”

“It’s not… uh…” Pain shot through Tang Yu’s jaw, causing her to frown uncomfortably.

“If not, then you must not understand my words,” Ye Sihan’s dark eyes lacked any warmth, cold as the abyss.

Tang Yu’s body trembled slightly, touching Ye Sihan’s raw nerve with whatever she said now.

Ye Sihan released her jaw, took the bag beside him, pulled out the passport from inside, and threw it into the car’s hidden compartment.

“Don’t, Mr. Ye…” Realizing something, Tang Yu tried to snatch it back, her hands grabbing Ye Sihan’s arms, but a chilling gaze shot back at her, scaring her into retracting her hands. She knelt there, pleading, “Mr. Ye, if you don’t want to see me, I’ll just leave, never to appear before you again. That should be enough, right?”

With her passport confiscated by him, she wouldn’t be able to leave the country!

She would live forever under Ye Sihan’s control!

Ye Sihan gripped her jaw, dragging her in front of him—
“Uh!” Tang Yu nearly fell to her knees.

“Without my permission, you are not to leave Kyoto, not even one step. Remember this well!” Ye Sihan’s face was grim. “Since I’ve caught you this time, you are going to be punished.”

Tang Yu’s whole body shuddered violently, struggling backwards, curling up beside the seat, watching him warily, “What… what are you going to do?”

The car drove into the Ye Mansion, and it was apparent from outside the window where they were heading.

Tang Yu was in a panic, her hand clutching the corner of her clothes tightly, with cold sweat on her palms.

After the car stopped and the door opened, Ye Sihan prepared to get out, but seeing Tang Yu kneeling and motionless, clearly unwilling to leave the car, he silently grabbed her collar and threw her out ruthlessly—
“Ah!” Tang Yu stumbled, nearly falling. Not steady yet, her arm was seized and dragged forward, the force on it terrifyingly strong, as if wanting to crush her bones with the pain, “It hurts… Let me go, Ye Sihan, let go…”

The more she struggled, the more her bones hurt, and she didn’t dare to resist, her pleading tone very pitiful.

However, Ye Sihan showed no compassion, dragging her straight to the entrance of the hall.

“Let me go!” Tang Yu couldn’t bear it any longer, kicking out at him.

When Ye Sihan released her, she quickly backed away, her expression fearful and cautious.

Ye Sihan’s gaze was sharply cold, piercing through her body.

“I haven’t done anything wrong, why are you treating me this way?” Tang Yu mustered her courage to shout, her voice trembling. She felt that entering here was no different from entering King Yaman Hall, too terrifying. “I have never been in contact with my mother, she left after divorcing my father, and I don’t know about her life. All these years, I have been living alone. The financial support she gave me was without my consent, I just took it as a scholarship from the school.”

“Are you done talking?” Ye Sihan’s voice was devoid of warmth, frighteningly cold.

Tang Yu knew this meant he didn’t believe her, feeling she was in a desperate struggle. But she couldn’t just sit and wait for death, “Or you could investigate the events of that year one more time, don’t wrong an innocent person…” Before she could finish, she saw Ye Sihan’s eyes suddenly turn fierce, coming toward her. She screamed and turned to run. However, just two steps out, her neck was fiercely grasped by a large hand, “Ah!”

Tang Yu couldn’t escape, her life hanging by a thread in Ye Sihan’s hands, the pain making her face turn pale.

“You really are courting death,” Ye Sihan’s voice sounded beside her ear, his breath seemingly hot, yet it made Tang Yu shiver with cold.

Upon reaching the second floor, Tang Yu was thrown into a room—
“Ah!” Tang Yu fell to the ground.

Even though the floor was carpeted, Tang Yu’s delicate skin couldn’t withstand the friction, her knees turning red instantly.

Ye Sihan looked down at her from above, “Killing that wretch would be letting her off too easily; it’s better for her daughter to atone properly!”

Tang Yu hurried over, clinging to his legs, “Ye Sihan, don’t treat me like this, I don’t know anything…”

“If you enjoy the benefits of the Ye Family, you must pay the price.”
