Chapter 23 - 23 23 Lying is to be Punished
Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Lying is to be Punished Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Lying is to be Punished An hour later, I returned home and went straight to bed after a shower.
As I lay in bed, Tang Yu was folding clothes, and the four little ones were helping out.
Of course, they ended up making more of a mess, but Tang Yu still encouraged them.
“Wee!” Junjun threw a piece of clothing, which landed right on Xibao’s forehead as she was earnestly folding clothes.
Blinded, Xibao seemed to freeze, unable to move.
Tang Yu laughed as she removed the clothing from Xibao’s head, and only then did Xibao move.
My heart was bubbling with joy, she was so cute~~
I couldn’t resist and gave Xibao’s little cheek a hard kiss.
“Mommy, I want a kiss too!”
“Here I come!”
“And me too!”
“Stop it, the clothes aren’t folded yet, ah…” Before Tang Yu could finish, she was overwhelmed by the children.
During the two days off, the only thing Tang Yu did was to buy milk powder, diapers, clothes, and other necessities for the quadruplets.
Because the things from the previous rental couldn’t be used anymore.
She had to buy her own stuff too; she couldn’t keep using Li Xue’s.
Li Xue didn’t mind and even suggested that she stay with the children, which would mean an extra person to help look after them.
Tang Yu was grateful, but still felt that rent should be kept separate from personal matters.
Li Xue loved the quadruplets, but Tang Yu was sure she had to leave Kyoto, this dangerous place, for good, though she hadn’t yet spoken this aloud.
After sending the kids to school on Monday, Tang Yu and Li Xue each went off to work.
As soon as Tang Yu stepped into the secretarial department, a colleague told her, “Mr. Ye’s office has a visitor, please take a cup of coffee over.”
“Alright.”
Carrying the coffee, Tang Yu knocked on the office door, only to see Ye Yuli inside.
She wondered, what was he doing here? This early, could he be looking for Ye Sihan?
Tang Yu proceeded professionally, placing the coffee on the coffee table in front of him, “Your coffee, please enjoy.”
After setting it down, she turned to leave.
“What was that all about in the elevator the other day?”
“It was just what you saw,” Tang Yu said unhappily. “You can’t still think my relationship with Ye Sihan is fake, can you?”
Ye Yuli abruptly stood up, “I’ve told you to stay away from Ye Sihan. I won’t marry you, and he certainly won’t either.”
“When have I ever said I would marry him? That’s really funny.” Tang Yu retorted sarcastically, “Ye Yuli, you’re engaged now. It’s best to mind your own business.”
Ye Yuli stepped forward and grabbed her arm—
“You…” Unable to believe his audacity, Tang Yu struggled, “Ye Yuli, what are you doing?”
“Don’t regret this!” Ye Yuli’s face was cold and detached as he let go of her arm and left.
The coffee he brought remained untouched.
Tang Yu was baffled, picked up the coffee, and right as she reached the door, a dark shadow loomed over her, making her pause.
Looking up, she was confronted with Ye Sihan’s deep and piercing black pupils, feeling as if she had plunged into an abyss.
“Who’s that for?” Ye Sihan’s presence was oppressive, his voice deep and unpredictable.
“…Ye Yuli came over,” Tang Yu could not lie since everyone in the department had seen him.
“What did he do?” Ye Sihan’s domineering aura intensified.
“He must have been looking for you. Seeing that you weren’t here, he left,” Tang Yu felt she could lie about this since no one else had witnessed it.
She couldn’t tell the truth anyway.
She didn’t want others to know she was still entangled with Ye Yuli.
“Are you sure?”
“I didn’t lie,” Tang Yu said earnestly.
Ye Sihan cast her a cold glance, walked past her without a word, and reached his desk. He tapped a few keys on the computer, and the TV screen on the wall showed footage of what had happened in the office just ten minutes earlier.
After Ye Yuli entered the office, he sat on the sofa.
It wasn’t long before Tang Yu came in carrying coffee.
Tang Yu was panicked—there was surveillance in the office that she hadn’t noticed!
The following footage was naturally not as simple as her stating to Ye Sihan ‘saw you were not around and left.’
When Ye Sihan’s cold and sharp black eyes looked over, Tang Yu’s legs went so weak she could barely stand.
Especially as the dark figure loomed closer, her hand holding the coffee started trembling.
Her jaw clenched tight, she was forced to lift her head and face the terrible gaze of Ye Sihan. “Say it again.”
“He… he indeed came to look for you and just asked about the elevator incident that day. As you saw, I didn’t show him any kindness. Moreover, if I really had something going on with him, I wouldn’t have gone to the engagement party that day just to upset myself…” Tang Yu said nervously.
Ye Sihan’s fingertips caressed her tender lips, his voice hoarse, “Lying results in punishment.”
“This isn’t lying…” Tang Yu was extremely uneasy.
The next second, Ye Sihan knocked the coffee out of her hand.
With a snap, the coffee cup shattered on impact.
Tang Yu gasped in fright, her consciousness not yet recovered when the dark figure closed in—
“Mmph!”
His thin lips ruthlessly pressed down upon hers, claiming her.
As Tang Yu realized what was happening, her cheeks flushed, and her first instinct was to struggle.
However, a large hand firmly clasped the back of her head, leaving her unable to move, her weak hands pressed against Ye Sihan’s firm chest.
“Don’t… mmph…” Tang Yu’s oxygen supply dwindled, her struggles waned, and the moist entanglement was almost audible in her ears.
Just when she was about to suffocate, she was finally released, collapsing weakly into Ye Sihan’s arms.
Upon contact with oxygen, she gulped it down, her heartbeat pounding like a drum.
Shortly after, a hoarse voice from above said, “If you don’t leave now, I’ll tear off your underwear this instant.”
“…” Her thoughts, just clearing up, were jolted by such words.
She was wearing a skirt underneath, so it would be easy to do just that.
Frightened, Tang Yu quickly moved away from the source of danger, her expression defensive.
Her gaze trembled, barely concealing her anger. “What… what are you doing? How could you do this?”
“Lie again, and it won’t be this simple next time,” Ye Sihan said, his deep black eyes harboring an innate forcefulness.
The danger lurking within was obvious.
Tang Yu’s heart pounded as she watched.
She turned and ran out.
It seemed if she waited even a second longer, she would be torn apart and devoured by the Devil from Hell.
Once outside, Tang Yu didn’t dare to directly enter the secretarial department and instead went to the restroom.
When she saw herself in the mirror, she was thankful she came to the restroom.
Her hair and clothes were slightly disheveled, particularly her lips, which were swollen and red, still bearing a tingling sensation.
This showed just how fiercely Ye Sihan had bitten her!
Although she and Ye Sihan had been in bed together three years ago, it was the alcohol at play, her consciousness hazy, and her fear greatly reduced.
The second time in the elevator, her body was experiencing problems, still with clouded awareness.
Only this time, she truly felt the sensation of being kissed by a man. It might as well have been her first kiss.
Ye Sihan was utterly excessive! Domineering and irresistibly forceful!
She used a paper towel soaked in cold water, applied it to her lips again and again to reduce the swelling, before she dared to enter the office again.
What do you think?
