Princess of the Void

Hello, folks!

As we head into the weekend, I wanted to give you guys an update on what this story is going to be, and ask a question about release cadence.

The first arc of Princess of the Void, Maekyon, will continue its 5x/week update schedule and conclude on Friday the 28th with a special double-length chapter. Thank you for your readership, your comments, your favs, and all the rest. It's deeply appreciated. I'm hoping that, before then, I'll have a cool new cover that I've commissioned, featuring everyone's favorite space gremlin antihero.

The idea, with Princess of the Void, is that it will be a long-running episodic story following the Princess of the Black Pike (and her hapless Prince Consort) as she maintains her sector, locks horns with her rivals, and expands the Imperial frontier.

The second arc of the story, Ptolek, is a little over a third of the way finished over on my Patreon. I expect it'll be finished in 2-3 weeks--I tend to write about 1500-2000 words a day.

A quick word on the tone of this story, so you know what to expect once our heroes' big marriage question is resolved at the end of this arc.

There will be:

Continued worldbuilding, sexy space adventure, political intrigue, antagonists both episodic and long-running, and an overarching storyline centered around this unlikely love story, as Grant and Sykora develop their relationship, accumulate power, and strive to find a place for their unorthodox marriage in a massive, amoral Empire. I picture it as Star Trek but with antiheroic shortstacks. The conflict will switch from an internal one (Grant's struggle for freedom) to mostly external ones (Grant and Sykora solve problems together).

There will not be:

Harems, infidelity, or PoVs other than Grant's. Grant will face the continued wickedness of the Empire of which Sykora is a proud and high-ranking member, and the lovers might not see eye-to-eye on how to solve the problems they face, but they will stay together and in love.

Which release cadence would you prefer?

• I finish this arc, and then take a brief (one to two week) hiatus to finish the second one, then go back to daily releases until Arc II is complete?
• I finish this arc, take no hiatus, and reduce update frequency to 3(ish) times a week?
