Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 384: When Night Riders Fight

Kent and his team chose to attack just as the night was rising.

This wasn't because they wanted to use the cover of darkness. No, this was a deliberate plan to allow his two-night riders to harness their powers, as they were meant for the night.

Uncle Drew and Saden are immortals at night, meaning the chances of them dying are less than 1% during the night.

So the moment they attacked, their full strength surged, and riding the night, Saden was like the harbinger of death.

She moved with the night, and her arrows, forged from the flames of hell, were the only things visible in the air.

She was tasked with handling the transcendent with the three soul sentinels and the four battle dolls; that was exactly what they were doing.

"Devouring by the night."

Saden was solely using that skill since it practically handed her supreme authority over the night, preventing those within the range of this skill from seeing anything, even if they possessed night vision.

So, essentially, she was using the night against her opponents, rendering them blind.

But while that was happening, she was also doing something else. She was knocking a few out. However, she wasn't doing so randomly.

No, she was executing something only night riders could do.

Every night, the rider possesses an ability called Mark of Destinies. This mark allows them to identify those who can play a role in their strength.

Back when Uncle Drew sent those eight attackers who came after Kent to hell, he used that ability to determine their worth, and the answer to that question was the purple marks now glowing on the foreheads of 13 Transcendent Beasts currently unconscious on the ground.

She was acting on the command of Uncle Drew, who was also doing the same thing with the ten Ascension-stage beast-kin.

Thankfully, only six had to be killed, as they didn't have destinies tied to them.

But while that was the case, there was yet another development between these two that would have caught anyone's attention.

While Saden was a Peak Sage, from the moment Uncle Drew arrived from hell, she ascended from the Root Sage stage to the peak of Root Great Sage.

She even surpassed Kent in that regard, for Uncle Drew had now become a Transcendent.

As to how that was possible, it was due to the red string now linking Saden and Uncle Drew as they fought and killed.

This string acts as a link, transferring energy between them. This means that as Uncle Drew grew stronger, so would the riders under his command.

But it wasn't a one-way channel. Aside from Uncle Drew providing her energy, she also supplied him with energy, and now, as they fought, one could tell this channel was opened and working like a dam.

In fact, Kent still doesn't understand how Uncle Drew became a Transcendent. But then he mentioned time runs faster there, so it wasn't impossible.

Saden and the sentinels were killing much faster, showing they were all warriors in their own right. The battle dolls were also killing their fair share.

However, the main reason why they were killing faster, considering the staggering number of Transcendents and small fries, was because Veydris had joined them.

Veydris had already handled the Sovereign he was tasked with, so he is helping them.

Uncle Drew was the second to finish his task, so he and the hell demons joined the fray, and soon, the echoes of cries and anguish could be felt.

Meanwhile, Sylara flew down from the holding the orc, which was being suspended by her claw at the shoulder joint.

The lady had indeed destroyed the orc, proving she was a merciless being.

Meanwhile, Kent and Kaizo were having a field day with the last orc. Kaizo was now clad in lightning armour and was using Overdrive, boosting his speed by several folds.

Meanwhile, Kent's skin was covered in dark gold dragon scales, and both his horns and wings were active.

When the orc activated its enhancement skill, Kent and Kaizo also activated theirs, and thanks to that, they managed to subdue the last orc, even following in Veydris's footsteps.

Kent severed its arm, and Kaizo blinded one of its eyes.

"BOOM!"

A body slammed to the ground as Kaizo landed one last powerful attack on the last orc. It passed out immediately.

"That was satisfying," Kaizo said, deactivating his armour. Kent simply smirked and deactivated his dragon enhancement skills.

By the time they arrived inside the fortress, every last beast was dead, with only 21 of them unconscious. Of course, the three orcs weren't included.

"Young Master, I would like to check if these three are suitable to be turned into hell demons," Uncle Drew asked, and Kent nodded.

After a while, Uncle Drew shook his head.

"They are not worthy," Kent said with a smile.

"At least you have 17 Transcendents and 4 Ascensions meaning you will be getting 4 soverigns soon if things go well. I guess this time, when you leave, it will be months or years before we see you again."

"Indeed. But I won't leave until the fourth Rider awakens," Uncle Drew replied, his smile hidden behind his mask.

"Don't worry about it. The moment she wakes up, I will invoke her true name," Kent said, glancing at Sylara and then at the bloodied orc.

"Was that really necessary?" he asked, causing Sylara to turn and look at the orc.

"Perhaps I may have gone a little overboard. But it's not my fault. A battle without blood is meaningless to me, so I had to shed his blood," she replied, causing Kaizo to feel his blood run cold.

He could testify to her ruthless fighting style.

Kent smirked and turned to the entrance, where Saden and Nyxira were escorting three people. One was a young girl with a ponytail and skin covered in scales.

But with one glance, Kent knew she was in disguise. She was bound in a green, chain-like rope that suppressed one's cultivation.

The moment these three people saw Kent and his legion, they became scared. However, the ponytail girl smiled when she saw Kent's face.

"You must be Dori," Kent said.

In response, the rope binding her hands loosened, and like a spoiled child, the loli jumped into Kent's arms.

"I missed you, Master. I never thought we'd meet this soon. Of course, I calculated a 32% chance you'd come to rescue me the moment you found out I was captured.

Let me guess: Akira found you, and thanks to Gaia, you're here now. Of course, there's a 74% chance the Quest Pool gave you a quest to come save me.

In other words—"

"Nice meeting you again, Dori," Kent interrupted, knowing that, as Akira and Gaia had said, she would ramble nonstop if he didn't cut her off.

After all, she was a Mind Weaver who weaves complex plans and overthinks everything. Talking about statistics and mind-bending is her strong suit. If Kent were to allow her, she would speak nonstop.

They are in a no man's world, so he is not ready to talk about statistics.
