Prologue: Sunday
Inside Melody's room
Light shine through the curtains, casting a pink hue due to the overly pink room. The curtains folded and waved, showing floral details. A gorgeous carpet, made of sheeps wool lay under a bed, partially sticking out. And on that bed lay...
"CHRISTINA GET UP!!!"
And with a swift kick, my annoying sister Melody, woke me from the best dream of my life.
I'm Christina Mora Cline. The twin sister to the 'Magical girl' Melody.
Me and Melody were born in a small Irish town up north called Ballycaste. I know, glamorous name.
"Ever heard of tapping someone's shoulder?".
My blankets rolled a little when I sat up. I threw them to my side, knocking my laptop on the group. I should seriously stop falling asleep with it in bed, this'll be the third time I have to replace it.
Melody sniggered, that sly annoying look coming upon her face. Of course that's what I imagined she looked like, because I couldn't see. I reached for my glasses and, YUP!, she had that snigger look.
"Are you done lazing around, there's crime to fight".
I got up and pushed past her, trying to ignore her presence. Checking my phone the first thing I saw was a notification for the Sunday news.
It appeared the Clorvacks had been messed with again. I don't know how many times I told those oil rigs not to try to force their way through anything hard.
"Well, hop to it, I'm not saving the day standing here".
I glared at her, took off my glasses, and walked to the window.
Outside was a courtyard, surrounded by orchards. The yard was full of birch, and pine trees. There was a path leading to a tiny shed, lining the path were roses of a multitude of colors.
"Did you not hear m-".
I jumped form the window, bending the wind around me.
Slowly my hedgehog pj's turned into a short dress. The dress had lace trimming, as well as a cotton look. It had a pink, short puffy skirt, with white fluffing underneath. The shirt part was white, with a shawl the color of spider Lillie's. My hair unwound from a messy bun and perched itself up to the sky as I fell, and slowly grew and braided itself into a singular long braid. At the edge of this braid was a sharp tip, razor sharp.
My freckles depend in colour, while my bronze skin shone a little more. My eyes, which normally rarely worked, turned a multitude of virbrant colours, and opened wide.
I stood on the pavement of my house, with melody waving me away
"Hurry up, or my reputation will be ruined".
I paid zero mind to her and started racing down the street.
I passed car and people alike, reaching the commotion in mere minutes. I could've flown and gotten there sooner but I'd felt like a run would do me some good.
I stared at the Clorvack. It was a light blue, with crimson and pink under each scale. It had multiple arms, each one in the shape of grape vines.
I stared, and stared and- POP!
The monsters head popped, and it tumbled over. People looked at me in awe, fear, and resentment.
I was staring at the ground, then I looked up and smiled. The fakest one a person who just got up could muster
"Don't worry folks, the danger has been averted" my voice was squeaky and high pitched.
I turned to run back home, with a wave of cheers following me.
I am Christina, not Melody. The true hero.
What do you think?
