Pokemon: Reborn Rich Alternate Earth

Chapter 393: Same Height And Weight?

A large number of trainers in Orient City were already heading toward Parkway Hospital. Some were nearby the hospital, while some were already inside the hospital to begin with.

If all these trainers arrived at the hospital at once, it would undoubtedly cause unnecessary chaos—especially since Duke was still undergoing treatment inside.

“Meta!”

John’s Metagross appeared in the sky above the hospital, exuding the overwhelming presence of a Champion-level Pokémon.

Under this oppressive aura, the entire space around Parkway Hospital seemed to tremble.

Ordinary people didn’t feel much, but every trainer present suddenly felt as if a massive mountain had settled upon their shoulders.

Even trainers rushing in from other parts of Orient City were struck with a deep sense of intimidation.

“Champion Walker is at Parkway Hospital—everyone, disperse.”

“Wait, are these green lights his doing?”

“I really want to know what’s happening inside.”

“I’m a journalist! Let me in—the public has the right to know!”

The hospital’s security team blocked the reporters and civilians trying to enter. Even those faking illnesses in hopes of getting inside had no luck—because of the Chansey on duty.

With Chansey’s abilities, it could instantly tell whether someone was truly sick or not.

Inside Duke’s hospital room, countless streams of green light gathered in Celebi’s palms, condensing and compressing until, before long, they formed a fist-sized green orb.

Celebi: "Awaken, my servant."

With that, Celebi forcefully pressed the green orb into Duke’s chest.

Julian: 'This little guy is really getting into it…'

As the green light seeped into Duke’s body, his body immediately underwent obvious changes. The corroded skin that had been exposed to the air was now visibly healing at a rapid pace.

Then, Celebi floated out of the room. Its tiny face looked exhausted.

Julian was surprised to notice that Celebi, which had been plump just moments ago, had returned to its original slim figure.

That little belly—it was completely gone.

It seemed that healing Duke had drained Celebi quite a bit, but the weight-loss effect? That was on another level. Months’ worth of built-up fat had just vanished in a matter of minutes.

At this speed, Celebi’s weight-loss method would make most women jealous.

Celebi: "I’m tired… I want to sleep…"

Celebi floated over to Julian, closed its eyes, and immediately collapsed into his arms.

After returning Celebi to its Poké Ball, Julian said, “It’s a bit exhausted.”

Nicole’s mother anxiously asked, “Is my father-in-law healed?”

“Yes”

Julian nodded. Since Celebi had said so, there was no doubt about it. Although it's unreliable in many things, but when it came to major matters like this, it could still be trusted.

Brad had already rushed in to check on Duke, accompanied by Dr. Reid, who had been studying the toxins in Duke’s body.

Initially, Dr. Reid had been deeply focused on his research, but the sudden burst of green light had caught his attention. Seeing that the light originated from the same floor as Duke, he had hurried over in a rush.

After a thorough examination by both Brad and Dr. Reid, the two finally stepped out of the room, Nicole hurriedly asked, “Is my grandfather completely healed now?”

Dr. Reid, still looking bewildered and shocked, nodded.

“It’s unbelievable… The toxins in Champion Duke’s body have been completely eradicated!”

“Not only that, but the damage caused by the toxins has also fully healed. His body is now in excellent condition, and even some health issues he had before are entirely gone.”

He then turned to Brad and asked, “This wasn’t your doing, was it? You don’t have that kind of ability, what was that green light all about?”

Dr. Reid wasn’t an idiot, the fact that the green light had converged precisely on Duke’s floor, and that his toxins had disappeared immediately after, was no coincidence.

Such a miraculous event was clearly beyond Brad’s capabilities.

“It wasn’t me, but I know who healed Champion Duke. Not that I’m going to tell you, though—does that frustrate you?” Brad smirked.

Both he and Dr. Reid were renowned medical experts, and as the saying went, rivals in the same field were bound to clash. The two had been at odds for decades.

“As long as it wasn’t your doing, that’s all that matters.”

Dr. Reid, however, showed no sign of irritation, he didn’t even seem particularly curious about who was responsible.

His blunt response actually made Brad a little angry—was this guy looking down on him?

Naturally, the existence of Celebi was a secret that couldn’t be revealed to others.

Even though certain people might eventually figure it out, they would delay that moment for as long as possible.

Now that she had confirmed her grandfather was safe—and even healthier than before—Nicole and her mother finally let out a sigh of relief.

If not for the setting, Nicole would have hugged Julian on the spot.

Julian: 'That won’t be necessary.'

“When will Grandpa wake up?” Nicole asked.

“Probably tomorrow, although his body is fine now, but he was drained of too much energy while poisoned, so he needs a good rest.”

“Well, since Champion Duke is stable, I’ll be taking my leave.”

Dr. Reid said, before swiftly departing. He still had to continue studying the toxin. If he could fully analyze it, his medical skills would improve even further.

And in the future, if other trainers in Drakoria ever fell victim to the same poison, they wouldn’t have to struggle as much to find a cure.

Dr. Reid had just left when Brad also followed suit, “Then I’ll be off as well, that old geezer is definitely rushing off to study the toxin—I can’t afford to fall behind!”

With that, he hurriedly turned to leave.

But after taking just a few steps, he suddenly stopped and walked back toward Julian.

“Come by my house when you have time, my granddaughter is quite fond of you.”

“…You mean the one whose height and weight are the same?”

Julian hadn’t even fully processed what was happening when John, standing beside him, glanced at Brad and deadpanned, “Spare others from your family’s disaster, will you?”

'Same height and weight?'

A square-shaped figure immediately appeared in Julian’s mind.

Brad, thoroughly exposed, was both furious and embarrassed. “My granddaughter is well-nourished! That just means I take good care of her! Don’t think that just because you’re a Champion now, I’m afraid of you!”

“She’s not just well-nourished—she’s practically dripping with excess! You sure she won’t get sick?”

John smirked. “And you, a Poison-type specialist, have the nerve to challenge a Steel-type user?”

Steel-types to Poison-types were like Fairy-types to Dragons—an inherent advantage. Unless the level gap was massive, it would be a completely one-sided fight.

With no comeback, Brad stormed off in frustration.

Not long after, John and Julian also left, leaving Nicole and her mother behind to take care of Duke.

As for Duke’s safety, there was no need to worry, aside from the hidden security forces stationed around the area, his strongest Pokémon were also secretly guarding the hospital’s perimeter.

With that in mind, John’s presence here wasn’t actually necessary anymore.

And in a way, his departure with Julian was also a form of protection—because right now, John was acting as Julian’s shield.
