"Phantom Rebirth: The Last White Raven’s Path to the Ultimate Assassin"

Chapter 382: The Final Strike

Seraphis narrowed her eyes as she watched the sea serpent thrash in the water below. Its glowing eyes burned with hatred, its enormous body twisting through the waves as it prepared for another attack. The beast had already survived one battle with them, but this time, she had no intention of letting it escape.

“No, you don’t,” she muttered under her breath.

The last thing she wanted was to be woken up again by the same enemy returning for revenge. If this serpent thought it could keep coming back, it was sorely mistaken.

With a swift motion, Seraphis lifted both hands, channeling the magic coursing through her veins. The air around her crackled with raw energy, the wind responding to her call. She could feel it bending to her will, surging outward as she focused on the water below.

The serpent’s eyes widened as a powerful gust of wind spiraled downward, wrapping around its massive body like an invisible force. The water beneath it churned violently, forming a vortex as the air pressure lifted the creature from the sea.

Lysara took a step back, watching in awe as Seraphis forced the enormous beast out of its element.

“You’re actually lifting it,” she breathed. “That’s insane.”

Seraphis gritted her teeth, her fingers tightening as she willed the wind to pull harder.

The serpent roared in fury, its long body thrashing as it was dragged upward against its will. Its tail slapped against the water, sending tidal waves crashing against the rocky shore, but it couldn’t break free from the wind’s grasp.

For the first time, the sea serpent looked afraid.

Seraphis smirked. “Not so tough when you’re out of the water, are you?”

She didn’t give it a chance to retaliate. With a sharp flick of her wrist, she sent a second gust of wind hurtling toward the beast, slamming into its midsection like a battering ram.

The force sent the serpent tumbling through the air, its long body twisting as it struggled to regain control.

Lysara, wasting no time, raised her bow and fired another Voidflame arrow. The enchanted projectile streaked through the sky, leaving a trail of dark energy in its wake before burying itself deep into the serpent’s scales.

The creature shrieked as the arrow’s magic ignited, burning through its flesh with unnatural fire.

Seraphis could see the agony in its glowing eyes. She knew this was their moment.

With a surge of energy, she jumped from the battlements, using the wind to propel herself forward. She landed on the serpent’s back, her daggers already in hand.

The serpent twisted wildly, trying to shake her off, but she was ready.

With swift precision, she drove both daggers into its scales, using them as anchors as she climbed toward its head.

The beast’s roars echoed through the night, but Seraphis didn’t stop. She pulled one dagger free and slashed at its thick hide, carving deep wounds as she made her way forward.

Lysara continued her assault from above, loosing arrows that found their mark with deadly accuracy.

The serpent was weakening. Its movements grew sluggish, its roars turning into pained snarls.

Seraphis finally reached its head, standing atop its massive skull as the beast flailed beneath her.

She raised her dagger high, magic swirling around its blade. This was it. The final strike.

With all her strength, she drove the dagger straight between the serpent’s glowing eyes.

The moment the blade made contact, a powerful burst of energy erupted, sending shockwaves through the air.

The serpent let out one final, ear-splitting screech before its body convulsed, then went still.

For a moment, there was nothing but silence.

Then, the great beast began to fall.

Seraphis barely had time to react before she was plummeting toward the ocean below.

Using the last of her strength, she called upon the wind once more, slowing her descent just enough to crash into the water without breaking anything.

Lysara rushed to the edge, scanning the waves for any sign of movement.

Moments later, Seraphis surfaced, coughing but victorious.

“It’s done,” she called up, grinning.

Lysara let out a relieved laugh. “You’re insane.”

Seraphis just smirked, watching as the lifeless body of the serpent slowly sank beneath the waves.

This time, there would be no return.
