"Phantom Rebirth: The Last White Raven’s Path to the Ultimate Assassin"

Chapter 365: The Tide Turns

. A Storm of Steel

The battle between Seraphis and Captain Cutlass raged on, the sound of clashing steel and thunderous roars mixing with the cries of the pirates locked in brutal combat. Raven's Perch swayed as the storm above seemed to grow fiercer, as if the heavens themselves were watching the deadly duel unfolding on its deck.

Seraphis stood at the center of the storm, her barrier crackling with energy as Captain Cutlass pressed forward, his sword flashing like a streak of lightning. His men were scattered, their movements chaotic as they clashed with Seraphis’s crew, but all eyes were drawn to the captain himself.

“Yer a tough one, Seraphis,” Cutlass bellowed, his voice full of admiration, tinged with bloodlust. “But this fight ain't over! Not by a long shot!”

He lunged forward again, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Seraphis's eyes narrowed, her focus unwavering. "We'll see about that," she muttered to herself, sidestepping the attack at the last moment.

She launched into a graceful flip over Cutlass’s head, using the momentum to spin in mid-air and land behind him. The wind whipped around her as she unleashed another volley of arrows, her downstrike crossbows sending a storm of magical projectiles toward his crew. The arrows tore through the air, piercing pirates and sending them sprawling to the ground.

 Cutlass’s Fury

Cutlass snarled as he spun around, his eyes blazing with fury. “Clever, ain’t ya?” he growled. “But not clever enough!” With a roar, he raised his sword high, calling upon his men to charge again. His crew rallied behind him, pressing the attack harder than before, determined to overwhelm Seraphis’s forces.

Despite the chaotic battle raging around them, Cutlass’s focus never wavered. He was locked on Seraphis, the one opponent he couldn't quite outmatch yet. “I told ya, girl, this ship won’t sink so easy,” he shouted, his voice cutting through the roar of the battle. “We’re in the heart of this storm, and I’m gonna ride it to the end!”

Seraphis’s barrier rippled as another wave of attacks came at her. Her daggers were a blur as she deflected incoming strikes, her movements swift and precise. She could feel her mana waning, but the storm of magic surrounding her seemed to give her strength, allowing her to press forward, her mind razor-sharp.

Pirates Without Mercy

The battle had turned into a contest of will. Seraphis’s crew fought fiercely, but Cutlass’s pirates were well-trained, experienced, and ruthless. They did not care for mercy, only victory. Each strike, each parry, and each slash was a calculated effort to break the enemy’s spirit, just as Cutlass himself sought to break Seraphis.

“We fight for gold, and we fight for blood, Seraphis,” Cutlass taunted, slashing at Seraphis’s barrier once again. “You’re just a damn rookie out here. You don’t know what it’s like to be on the edge, to see the world through the eyes of a pirate!”

Seraphis’s lips curled into a thin smile. “I think I’m starting to understand,” she replied coldly, her daggers flashing as she deflected Cutlass’s attack. “But you’re right about one thing: I’m no rookie.”

She knew this battle was far from over, but she was getting closer to breaking Cutlass. She had to be smart—keep him on the defensive, and take advantage of any mistake he made.

A Shift in the Winds

The storm around them seemed to respond to the fury of the battle. Lightning cracked across the sky, and the winds howled with intensity. The rain poured down in torrents, adding an element of chaos to the battle that neither side could ignore. The Raven's Perch groaned and creaked under the strain of the fierce winds, but it remained steady, holding firm against the onslaught.

Seraphis stood at the center of it all, her mana shield shimmering around her as she focused on the ebb and flow of the battle. “No more games,” she whispered under her breath. “It’s time to finish this.”

With a sudden surge of magic, she called upon her Arrowstorm again. This time, however, it was different. The arrows rained down with terrifying force, each one crackling with magic as they descended like a hurricane of steel.

“BLOODY HELL!” Cutlass roared as he raised his sword to block the barrage. He managed to deflect several of the arrows, but the sheer volume was overwhelming. His crew was caught off guard, and several pirates fell under the onslaught.

Seraphis didn’t let up. As her arrows continued to rain down, she closed the distance between herself and Cutlass, her daggers flashing in the rain as she moved with deadly precision. She knew she needed to end this quickly.

 Captain Cutlass’s Resolve

But Cutlass wasn’t about to go down without a fight. “Ya think ya got me, huh?” he sneered, his grin never fading. “I ain’t a simple man, Seraphis! And I’ll be damned if I let some damn magic-wieldin’ lass take me down without a fight!”

With a growl, he lunged forward, cutting through the storm of arrows with his blade. His speed was incredible, his years of experience shining through as he closed the distance between them. “Time for ya to learn what it really means to be a pirate!” he bellowed, his sword raised high.

Seraphis’s barrier flickered as she barely managed to avoid his slash. She twisted to the side, narrowly escaping the captain’s fury, and quickly regained her stance, daggers ready for the next move.

“Come on, Cutlass,” Seraphis said, her voice low and cold. “Is that all you’ve got?”

Her words only fueled his rage. “Yer gonna regret that!” he shouted, charging again with a ferocity that could break a man’s spirit.

 The Battle Intensifies

The battle had reached a boiling point. Cutlass’s crew was faltering under the sheer power of Seraphis’s Arrowstorm and the precision of her downstrike crossbows. But Cutlass himself remained a whirlwind of destruction, his sword strikes relentless as he sought to overwhelm Seraphis.

Seraphis’s mind raced as she calculated her next move. "This is the moment," she thought. "I can break him now."

With a roar, Cutlass surged forward again, his sword aimed directly for Seraphis’s chest. But she was ready. With a swift motion, she rolled out of the way, her barrier shimmering just enough to absorb the impact of his attack.

Before he could recover, she spun around and drove both daggers into the side of his torso. He let out a grunt of pain, but his grin never wavered.

“Gotta admit, that one hurt,” he said, panting. “But I’ve taken worse, girl. You’ll have to do better than that!”

The Final Countdown

Seraphis stood tall, her heart racing, but her resolve stronger than ever. “This ends now,” she muttered, eyes blazing with focus.

With a snap of her fingers, the air around her seemed to hum with energy. “Arrowstorm, one last time,” she whispered, her magic flaring to life once more.

This time, the arrows were different. They weren’t just physical projectiles; they were imbued with pure magic, each one carrying enough power to pierce through the hardest of defenses.

As the first arrow was released, Cutlass’s eyes widened. He raised his sword to block, but there was no stopping it. The arrow pierced through his defenses, and he staggered back in shock.

But Seraphis wasn’t done. She unleashed a flurry of arrows, each one aimed for the pirates around him, forcing them to retreat in fear.

“C'mon, Cutlass,” Seraphis taunted. “Is that all you've got?”

The wind howled again as the battle reached its climax. Captain Cutlass, his resolve unbroken, braced himself for one final stand.
