"Phantom Rebirth: The Last White Raven’s Path to the Ultimate Assassin"

Chapter 338: Claiming a Pirate Stronghold

A New Target

Seraphis stood on the deck of the White Raven, staring out at the endless ocean. The last raid had been successful, but she wanted more.

She turned to Lysara. "Is there another pirate stronghold nearby?"

Lysara nodded, pointing at the map spread out before them. "Yes, there’s one just a few miles from here. It’s well-guarded, but if we hit them fast, they won’t stand a chance."

Seraphis smirked. "This time, we’re taking it for ourselves."

Spotting the Fortress

The White Raven sailed swiftly through the waves, its black sails cutting through the mist.

As they neared the island, they saw the stronghold perched atop a rocky cliff, its high walls and towers standing like sentinels against the sea.

Seraphis studied it with a calculating gaze. "They won’t even know what hit them."

Manning the Crossbow

She strode to the massive Dawnstrike crossbow, running her fingers along the weapon’s smooth frame.

"Let’s start with a little destruction."

She grabbed a bolt, loaded it into the crossbow, and took aim.

First Shot – A Direct Hit

With a pull of the trigger, the massive bolt launched through the air.

It slammed into the fortress’s outer wall, sending a shower of stone and dust into the sky.

Reloading and Firing Again

Seraphis wasted no time.

She grabbed another bolt, loaded it, and fired again.

This time, the bolt pierced through one of the watchtowers, sending the upper half of the structure crumbling into the ocean below.

The Pirates Scramble

Inside the stronghold, the pirates were thrown into chaos.

"They’re attacking!" one shouted.

"Where are they coming from?!" another yelled.

But before they could react, Seraphis prepared her next move.

Bringing Out the Arrow Storms

She turned to her crew. "Bring out the Arrow Storms."

Three massive, multi-shot ballistae were wheeled into position, their mechanisms primed and ready.

Each one held 500 arrows, designed to rain destruction on the enemy.

Aiming for Maximum Carnage

Seraphis adjusted the angle of the Arrow Storms, ensuring the attack would cover the entire fortress.

Lysara stood beside her. "Are you sure this isn’t overkill?"

Seraphis grinned. "No such thing."

First Wave of Arrows

She gave the signal. "Fire!"

The first Arrow Storm unleashed 500 arrows into the sky.

The pirates barely had time to react before the projectiles came down like a deadly rain, impaling everything in sight.

Second Wave – No Escape

Seraphis immediately ordered the second Arrow Storm to fire.

Another 500 arrows flew into the sky and descended upon the fortress, striking down anyone who had survived the first attack.

Screams filled the air.

Final Barrage – Sealing Their Fate

Seraphis smirked as she fired the third Arrow Storm.

The final 500 arrows were unleashed, carpeting the entire stronghold in death.

The walls, the pathways, and even the docks were littered with arrows.

15,000 Arrows – A Scene of Carnage

When the attack was over, the entire stronghold was silent.

Fifteen thousand arrows had covered every inch of the fortress, leaving no survivors.

Landing on the Beach

Seraphis turned to her crew. "Let’s go claim what’s ours."

The White Raven moved closer to shore, and they lowered the gangplank.

Walking Through the Devastation

As they entered the stronghold, the sight before them was grim.

Corpses lay everywhere, pinned to the walls, the ground, even through doors and wooden structures.

Not a single pirate had escaped.

Securing the Base

Seraphis looked around. "This place is ours now."

She motioned for the crew to start clearing the bodies.

Looting Everything

Her crew wasted no time, raiding every building for treasure, weapons, and supplies.

Gold coins, crates of gunpowder, and barrels of rum were stacked high on the docks, ready to be transported to the White Raven.

Exploring the Fortress

Seraphis walked through the fortress, inspecting its defenses.

"Solid walls, good positioning… we can turn this into a proper outpost."

Lysara nodded. "It’s a perfect base for us."

Raising the Flag

Seraphis turned to her crew. "Bring the White Raven flag."

A large, black flag with a white raven emblem was unfurled, its fabric catching the wind.

The crew climbed the tallest tower and raised the flag high.

Marking Their Territory

As the White Raven flag waved in the wind, Seraphis smirked.

"Now, everyone will know this place belongs to us."

A New Home

Lysara crossed her arms. "What do we call this place?"

Seraphis thought for a moment.

"Raven’s Perch," she said finally.

Fortifying the Base

They spent the next few hours reinforcing the walls, setting up defenses, and making the fortress livable.

Seraphis had plans to turn it into a powerful stronghold.

A Night of Celebration

That night, the crew feasted in the great hall, celebrating their victory.

Drinks flowed, laughter filled the air, and the stronghold was now a place of power, not weakness.

Looking to the Future

As Seraphis sat on the throne in the fortress’s main hall, she grinned.
