Chapter 731 - 733 Going to Heavenly Mansion
Chapter 731: Chapter 733 Going to Heavenly Mansion
“Humph! Children shouldn’t interrupt when adults are speaking,” Liu Shui coldly snorted in response to Xia Liu’s taunting words.
“Oh? Quite the adult we have here,” Xia Liu sardonically remarked.
“Mr. Xia Liu, don’t take it to heart. The Second Family Head Liu is over ninety years old, and aside from his age, he really doesn’t have any other capital to show off,” Sun Jian quickly interjected before Xia Liu could retaliate.
“Hall Master Sun, you!” Liu Shui was furious at Sun Jian’s words, as Sun Jian dared to embarrass him in front of so many people.
“Did I say anything wrong? Mr. Xia Liu stepped into the Heavenly Rank at such a young age, while you are almost a hundred years old and are only at the Heavenly Rank,” Sun Jian said with a serious look on his face.
He had learned about Xia Liu’s strength from Lei Li and Qin Wu.
With the power to blast two Mid-Level Heavenly Rank warriors off a cliff and add on that unpredictable movement technique, Liu Shui really had no right to mock anyone.
“Hall Master Sun, are you determined to quarrel with me today?” Liu Shui’s expression turned chilly, although Sun Jian’s cultivation was higher than his own.
But what of it? A Super Clan is not something others can insult at will.
“It’s not that I must quarrel with you, but that he must go to the Heavenly Mansion!”
As he spoke, Sun Jian’s Qi Force surged within, and waves of energy spread out like undulating waves.
“Humph!”
As a Peak Warrior of the same rank, Liu Shui was not about to bow down to Sun Jian.
He was representing a Super Clan, after all!
The atmosphere exploded with both men’s energies, immediately engulfing the scene in their powerful forces.
The martial artists standing behind Xia Liu felt a tightness in their chests, nearly falling to their knees.
“Gentlemen, let’s not fight; take turns,” Xia Liu said, somewhat agitated. Sun Jian’s arrogance was palpable, and although he was polite to Xia Liu, the disdain in his eyes was clear and unchecked.
Liu Shui was even clearer in his intentions, harboring a strong killing intent towards Xia Liu.
Regardless of these two forces, Xia Liu would deal with them one by one.
If they were keen on being handled by him, Xia Liu had nothing more to say.
He chose one, the Heavenly Mansion.
As the most mysterious organization of Huaxia, the Heavenly Mansion oversaw all martial artists.
Xia Liu was very interested in taking an inside look to see if it indeed had the power to govern all the martial artists.
“Mr. Xia Liu, where would you like to go first?”
Just as Xia Liu had thought, Sun Jian was polite but his eyes sparkled peculiarly, indicating if Xia Liu chose the Liu Family, Sun Jian would undoubtedly show his strength. The presence of more than five Heavenly Mansion warriors in the vicinity was proof enough.
“Humph! Choose, but my Liu Family will investigate thoroughly and ensure you cannot escape your fate,” Liu Shui threatened.
“I am so scared of the Liu Family, with all these threats, I obviously choose the Heavenly Mansion,” Xia Liu mockingly tightened his clothes as he spoke.
“Humph! Just wait, my Liu Family will make you wish you were dead!” Liu Shui finally compromised.
“Hehe, Second Family Head Liu, don’t say such things. Before the investigation is clear, Xia Liu is not necessarily a sinner,” said Sun Jian, pleased with Xia Liu’s confirmation.
“Let’s go!”
Liu Shui didn’t want to stay any longer; seeing Xia Liu made him angry.
If it weren’t for Sun Jian’s presence, he would have dealt with Xia Liu on the spot.
“Mr. Xia Liu, please don’t mind, let’s head to the Heavenly Mansion together,” Sun Jian said.
“Alright,” Xia Liu replied.
Xia Liu had nothing to say to Sun Jian, the proverbial smiling tiger. If the Heavenly Mansion was currently under his control, then he would be another target for Xia Liu to deal with.
As the car started, a drizzle began to fall from the sky. Although the rain blurred the scenery, Xia Liu still memorized the route from the airport to the Heavenly Mansion.
The Heavenly Mansion and the Heaven Slaying Division’s base seemed somewhat similar, both located in the outskirts. However, judging by the lavishness of the entrance and the buildings, the Heavenly Mansion was on another level.
The “Heavenly Mansion” on the outskirts is just a branch.
Its headquarters may be stationed in the heart of Yanjing.
As for those, Xia Liu was unconcerned.
He only wanted to know the ultimate intention of the “Heavenly Mansion”.
If he handed himself over to the Psychic Bureau, that would really be screwing himself over, big time.
After passing through layers of checkpoints, the vehicle entered into a retro palace.
Two large stone statues stood at the main gate, wearing armor, one holding a sword, the other forming a hand seal.
At first glance, Xia Liu almost mistook them for two Cultivators guarding the palace.
Because Martial Artists don’t need hand seals when they perform martial arts skills, they’re only occasionally used when channeling energy.
Strange.
It’s somewhat strange, two Cultivator statues acting as spiritual guardians at the palace gates.
The “Heavenly Mansion” might not be as straightforward as he thought.
Perhaps he should have known earlier that Ye Xuan, being a Cultivator, was a member of the “Heavenly Mansion”.
Would the “Heavenly Mansion” have even more Cultivators?
“Just stand here for a bit, the people will be here shortly.” Upon arriving at the palace, Xia Liu was asked by Sun Jian to stand on the red carpet, while he and some high-level officials took their seats on the Taishi chairs around.
Xia Liu didn’t say anything, but Sun Jian’s true colors were showing.
Bringing him here, yet treating him like a prisoner.
Sun Jian became more like a superior, looking down on everything.
In his eyes, Xia Liu was probably just an ant.
Interesting, how very interesting!
Taking advantage of the representative from the Psychic Bureau not having arrived yet, Xia Liu looked around.
The palace was truly magnificent and splendid.
Too bad it was enjoyed by a group of old-fashioned Martial Artists.
The high-level officials of the “Heavenly Mansion” took their seats on both sides, each of them with at least Mid-Level “Heaven Rank” cultivation.
The closer to the main seat, the higher the cultivation.
Sun Jian, seated in the main position, had an aura close to “Heavenly Rank Peak”.
Perhaps he should be called a “Half-Step Heavenly Rank Peak Warrior”.
“Haha! I really didn’t expect this, Nether Emperor, we meet again.” Just as Xia Liu was deep in thought, suddenly a laughing voice came from outside the palace.
Xia Liu had already spotted the newcomer with his Divine Sense.
It was none other than Austin.
After Austin entered, people from the “Heavenly Mansion” immediately brought up a chair for him.
Then, like a panel of judges scrutinizing a sinner, everyone stared at Xia Liu, standing erect in the middle of the hall.
“Austin, I have brought you the person as promised, how you want to deal with him now is up to you,” said Sun Jian from the main seat, smiling faintly.
“I really thank you, Hall Master Sun,” Austin said with a narrowed smile: “Nether Emperor, do you remember the crime of stealing the Psychic Bureau’s top-secret documents and destroying my laboratory?”
“Austin, you might have the wrong target. I was just following orders from the high-level officials of the ‘Heavenly Mansion’, they told me to take the documents, to destroy the Psychic Bureau, do you think I could refuse?”
Xia Liu’s words caused the high-level officials of the “Heavenly Mansion” to gasp in surprise, then they all turned their gazes towards Sun Jian.
Sun Jian was unexpectedly calm.
“Austin, our ‘Heavenly Mansion’ has nothing to do with him, you handle it however you want,” he said.
“Of course, I trust Hall Master Sun,” Austin said, his eyes meeting Sun Jian’s, with an understanding unspoken between them.
“Nether Emperor! Today you must pay the price for your actions!”
Then Austin turned his gaze toward Xia Liu and as his words fell, five figures appeared in front of him.
What do you think?
