Overpowered Witch Reincarnation

Chapter 43: Best Witch’s Sleepy Kitten

Chapter 43: Best Witch’s Sleepy Kitten

The storm raged around the cat, but Sine’s pet was activated. A wyvern powered by the strength of love flapped its wings into the eye of the storm. I couldn’t help but watch in awe from the spectacle.

It released a candlewax breath onto the surrounding trolls. The wax was ignited, and they were torched from the outside. Their bodies melted into the snow around them in an instant.

However, the real hero of the day was a bat. It made it directly into the eye and took a bite of the cat’s ear.

Sloth’s eyes flung open in pain, and the storm around her vanquished. She yelped and flailed her body, trying to get the bat off of her.

“Get off of me, nya!”

My mouth widened at the spectacle. “Nya? Is this really one of those nekos?”

Now that the storm was gone, Mary ran over and started berating the poor kitten. She grabbed sloth’s cheeks as the bat bit the cat’s ears. “You know you would have wiped out an entire country with that storm!”

Tears filled the white cat’s blue eyes. “You knyow I didn’t mean to, nya! It wasn’t my fault! It was the authority…please forgive me sis, nya...and call of this bat...”

Sine called off the bat, but people in the surroundings began to awaken.

Mary grabbed the cat’s arm. “You will come with us. This place isn’t good.” The demon of wrath looked towards me. “Eerie, get us out of here, quickly!”

I gave a salute, and my hat flopped around. Then I made the portal to my house appear in the air and started throwing the sleeping passengers into it one by one. Sumire and them would just have to forgive me later!

Once again, we found ourselves in my grand library. However, this time there were new guests. A cat and the members of that other adventuring party. The only one uninvited was the lord dumb dumb. I ordained him as too stinky to set foot upon my beautiful queendom.

The white-eared cat sniffled in the meantime. “I thought that bat would nyever let go, nya.”

Mary frowned at her. “You have a lot of explaining to do. Who made you go to sleep like that? Did you think it was okay to fall asleep and almost kill a bunch of people!?”

“Sister, please don’t be so myad at me, nya! I was told that I could take a nap in the best spot in the kingdom. Why wouldn’t I do that? It was an offer too good to pass up, nya!”

“Hoh, and who told you this?”

The cat sighed and slumped in her seat. “She told me that if I told anyone that I would not be able to nyap there anymore, nya! And the nyap was so good that I couldn’t even wake up! I didn’t want to wake up!”

Sloth leaned over and grabbed onto Mary’s clothes pitifully. “Please don’t make me say it, nya…”

Mary sighed and patted her head. “I can already guess who it was. Was it the little one with a bad attitude. The one who won’t stop eating things?”

The cat’s eyes widened and her mouth gaped. “How did you knyow?”

However, Taliyah interrupted their Mary conversation. “While I would love to watch these antics all day as much as the next person, will you please introduce us to the one who tried to kill us?”

Mary nodded. “This is Sloth, but many simply call her Kitten.”

The kitten in question raised her hand. “I’m Kitten, nya.”

Taliyah smiled wryly. “Surely you have a different name?”

Sloth shrugged. “Kitten doesn’t remember. All of those names given to me...I think I overslept and forgot them, nya. But say...Doesn’t this place look good? Libraries are quiet, right? Couldn’t I just nyap here?”

The cat put her head on the table and began to close her eyes, but Mary stopped her.

“You will not go to sleep. Have you even been listening? You almost caused a real disaster!”

“But...Big sis, that wasn’t my fault, nya! That was the evil little girl.”

I nodded along to the cat’s explanation. It almost brought a tear to my eye and made me remember my own circumstances. The poor little kitten was forced to go to sleep against her will. It was almost like when they tried to take away my acting dreams.

I pointed my staff at the kitten. “I will allow you to sleep in this library.”

Everyone looked over at me dumbfounded, including the wide-eyed cat. “Why is everyone looking over here? What’s the harm in her sleeping here? If I let her sleep in this library, she will harm no one outside. She will get what she wants, and we will get what we want.”

Mary walked over and shook my shoulders. “Are you crazy? What about your house? Do you remember anything I told you? The languorous winter will make the processes here stop as well!”

I shook my head. “No it won’t. I won’t let this…”

“Authority.”

“Yes, I will not let this authority overrule my authority to have a house. Therefore, the authority will not work.”

Mary’s eyebrow twitched.

However, a little Sine came to the rescue. She stood in between us. “I choose to believe in the witch!” She looked towards Sumire for confirmation.

The girl in question simply shrugged. “Nothing really surprises me anymore. I wouldn’t be shocked if that stupid explanation actually worked. Heck, I bet her ‘authority’ is making the stupid into reality.”

Riri giggled beside her. “It seems rude to admit it, but…”

Mary sighed from their explanations, but ultimately, she looked at me and nodded.

Now, it was my turn to frown at them. “What do you mean stupid? It makes perfect sense! Who else would have the authority over their house but the homeowner?”

The kitten beamed. “Will I really be able to sleep here, nya?”

“Yes, as long as you don’t break anything.”

“I promise I won’t, nya!”
