Chapter 26 - 26 Aubree Fields Appointment

Chapter 26: Aubree Field’s Appointment Chapter 26: Aubree Field’s Appointment As soon as Victoria Garcia returned to Metropolis, her phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number.

“Hello!”

“Is this Miss Victoria Garcia?” asked a woman’s voice on the other end, gentle and pleasant.

Victoria searched her memory, certain she had never heard this voice before, and so responded, “That’s me, may I ask who this is?”

“This is Leah, we’ve met once before.”

Upon hearing the name Leah, Victoria remembered her. That night, Leah had left a deep impression on her. Even now, the memory of her tall figure, Barbie-pink mink fur coat, long hair, quiet smile, and beautiful face, still lingered in her mind…

“Miss Field, what can I do for you?” replied Victoria, her tone indifferent.

Leah was not bothered by Victoria’s cold tone. She answered, “I’d like to meet with you.”

“There’s no reason for us to meet,” Victoria rejected her.

Strictly speaking, such a rejection was slightly rude, but that’s how Victoria was when refusing others.

Leah did not take offense, her attitude was unyielding, and her voice, as always, gentle, “This may be abrupt, but I really want to talk to you. I hope Miss Garcia can give me a chance.”

“Please believe me, I bear no ill will.”

From beginning to end, Leah’s voice was consistently gentle and sincere.

Victoria didn’t respond, she simply hung up.

Perhaps it was impolite, but she didn’t want to get involved any further with Alexander Mitchell or anyone related to him, because she kept reminding herself that since she had agreed to be with Arnold Johnson, she couldn’t get caught up with other men.

Arnold draped a coat over her, “It’s chilly after getting off the plane, be careful not to catch a cold.”

As soon as they left the plane, Allen, the driver, had the car waiting nearby. Victoria hadn’t felt the biting northerly wind of Metropolis before she was inside the warm car.

Once they were inside, Arnold naturally took her hand.

Victoria didn’t resist, suggesting that the two of them were gradually growing closer.

After they had been driving for a while, Allen asked, “Director Johnson, where to?”

All the while, he managed to keep to himself Old Lady Johnson’s orders to bring Arnold straight home.

“Take Victoria home first, then we’ll head back to the Johnson Family,” Arnold replied directly.

Victoria knew that the so-called “Johnson Family” was not Arnold’s villa. The villa was merely one of his many places to keep his beloved women.

For some reason, Victoria suddenly felt uninterested, even self-mocking.

Perhaps sensing her mood, Arnold tightened his hold on her hand. Then, with a slight smile, he said, “I don’t mind taking you back to the Johnson Family.”

Victoria turned her head to look at him.

Her clear eyes met his deep, impenetrable gaze. As if on cue, she said, “Wait until I don’t mind.”

Despite her stubborn words, Arnold felt a surge of happiness.

He was not in a rush. He had all the time in the world to steal her heart.

Allen saw Young Master’s inherent happiness reflected in the rearview mirror and found himself inexplicably overjoyed; his Young Master had finally found a girl he liked…
