Chapter 922: 574. Thirteen Disciples
The angel witches originally residing in the God King Cathedral were quickly controlled by the Revelation Battle Group, and then the members of the battle group got busy preparing a ceremony to publicly announce the transfer of power of the Angel Witch Ancestral Court.
Of course, this has nothing to do with the always non-existent homebody witch. She merely peeked inside when the war troupe witches pushed open the doors of the main cathedral, only to find it already empty.
The Academy Head and Director of Studies, originally inside, had left at an unknown time, and even the Lord of Glory within Avalon was missing, whether they had departed or merely concealed themselves remained unclear.
It seems the major players indeed had no intention of interfering with Sophia’s “willfulness,” which allowed Dorothy to breathe a sigh of relief.
However, the earlier speculation by her roommate about the “roots” of the angel witch being damaged still left the homebody witch uneasy. Taking advantage of the current downtime before her appearance, she squatted at the entrance of the main cathedral, pulled out her Judgment Order from her pocket, ready to mobilize people.
After all, she couldn’t go solo when the good show started; she needed some extras to gather a crowd.
But before summoning her rookie Judges, Dorothy opened another chat window from her friends list.
Clown Grand Inquisitor: “Lord of Annihilation, are you there? Juvenile Dragon peeking emoji.jpg”
She intended to inquire from her Mother Superior about the situation with the Grand Angel Judge.
Previously, when faced with the Angel’s Command, she dared not consult with Mother Dragon, fearing the awkwardness it might bring her Mother Superior.
After all, as the Great Judge, Mother Dragon couldn’t mix personal and public matters, nor actively shield a fugitive, as it would lead to reports and impeachment.
Although Dorothy understood that with her mother’s abilities, everything she and Sophia did was likely exposed to Mother Dragon’s supervision, knowing their actions during this time.
However, as long as there was no contact or reporting, no written evidence would be left, and Mother Dragon could continue pretending nothing had happened.
If asked, she would say she was in seclusion, unaware, and that those below her acted independently.
But once Dorothy secretly contacted Mother Dragon, it became complicated, and given Mother Dragon’s official demeanor, once the matter was exposed, she’d have no excuse to play blind, potentially issuing orders or personally apprehending them.
Thus, the homebody witch chose to shoulder the responsibility herself.
But now, it mattered little, as Sophia was already free, so Dorothy and Euphilia need no longer be cautious.
And as expected, immediately after sending the message, Mother Dragon promptly replied.
Great Judge of Annihilation: “Did it succeed? Great Dragon frowning emoji.jpg”
At the Armed Society training ground, Euphilia also frowned with some anxiety as she gazed at the spellbook in her hands.
Although she monitored her daughter’s and disciple’s every move today, once they entered the main cathedral, her surveillance was blocked.
After all, the main cathedral was a place that sealed the Lord of Glory, its unique structure meant strong spying could be hindered, and Euphilia wasn’t one specialized in reconnaissance.
Thus, she truly had no idea what had just transpired within the cathedral.
Clown Grand Inquisitor: “Yes, though the process had some minor twists, everything eventually went smoothly. Juvenile Dragon standing with hands on hips and nostrils flaring emoji.jpg.”
Upon seeing this reply from her daughter, Euphilia relaxed. At last, she was no longer caught in a dilemma, but she felt the need to remind her daughter of certain matters.
Great Judge of Annihilation: “That’s good, but don’t be careless. The waters of the Angel Witch Clan run deep; neither you nor Sophia, as little witches, can meddle in them. Best not to leave Witch Academy for now, as even The Third King’s gaze is fixed on the academy. As long as you stay within its bounds, those old immortals with schemes won’t dare act out.”
Being a Great Judge as well, Mother Dragon was fully aware of the Angel Witch colleague’s unauthorized issuance of the Angel’s Command.
Yet, she was powerless against it, merely able to protest and condemn the other side’s overreach. But beyond that, there was little she could do given Sophia’s genuine lineage from the Lord of Glory, making the angel notice compliant with the Judgment Court process.
Nonetheless, the old immortal dared not escalate matters, especially since the Witch’s Night anomaly had drawn the attention of The Third King, in front of whom those sinister old folks couldn’t deploy any underhanded tactics.
Moreover, the opposing side’s overreach didn’t just anger Mother Dragon; even Lord Pan, the Demon Grand Inquisitor, displeased with it.
That old guy who often acted high and mighty to Euphilia, a young junior less than two hundred years old, had no choice but to respectfully call Lord Pan, one of the most ancient and strongest sages, as elder.
What do you think?
