Chapter 536: 423. War Chess
The Angel Delegation that had been gathered together now parted ways, and a young Angel dressed more lavishly than the others stepped out from the crowd.
Dorothy too looked toward this Angel, recognizing who it was.
Previously surrounded by All Angels at the very center was naturally Lord Sariel, and this young Angel had been standing right by Sariel's side, while the other Angels maintained some distance from them both.
One could tell from their position that this person's identity was quite extraordinary, likely being the second highest in status within this delegation.
The Homebody Witch glanced at the reactions of the other young Angels around her and realized that they all looked at this one with a mixture of reverence and admiration in their eyes.
Dorothy was not unfamiliar with such gazes, for whenever she appeared at the academy in her role as a young lady, the other Witch Students looked at her in the very same way.
Without a doubt, this one must be the brightest star of heaven's current generation and the most outstanding among this team of all-talented Angels.
Dorothy subtly sensed the strength of this young Angel, and her eyes narrowed slightly beneath her mask.
Well, I must say, this is rather interesting. Judging from his life force, this guy should be about sixteen or seventeen years old, but this Strength...It's around 400,000 Mana.
Even though she had grown accustomed to her talented friends, individuals of rare genius, Dorothy had to admit that this Little Angel really did have skill.
If we're talking about magic power talent, aside from senior Fanny, who is an exception, of all the young witches she knew, none could compare with this young Angel.
It just goes to show, as a member of the ancient Calamity Race, the heritage indeed runs deeper compared to the more recently emerged Witch Race.
However, it's not really a big issue because the Strength Angels possess is not the same as the Primordial Magic Power used by Witches but is a special power, Divine Power, formed from a mix of Power of Faith and Primordial Magic Power.
This Divine Power is slightly less pure compared to Primordial Magic Power, therefore not quite as omnipotent, but it's relatively easier to accumulate and, in some areas, even more effective than Primordial Magic Power.
Therefore, it's not easy to say definitively which is stronger between Primordial Magic Power and Divine Power.
So, could a talent and specialty possibly make up for the gap in pure power?
Dorothy thought this as well.
Talent and specialty are unique results of the power of evolution within the Witch Race. As a Pureblood Angel, he wouldn't possess this, but Angels have something similar, called the Divine Authority that comes with Divinity.
Considering this young Angel's talent and status, his Divinity and Divine Authority must also be far from ordinary.
After all, heaven's social model as a whole leans towards a cybernetic mode, or more bluntly, a cultivation mode, where higher-status Angels have access to more resources, and the few High-Order Angels at the top of the pyramid structure have the vast majority of heaven's resources.
Witches can accelerate the formation of their talent and specialty through Krypton Gold, and Angels can naturally expedite the growth of their Divinity and Divine Authority in the same way.
Thus, in terms of resources, it seems that Witches are at somewhat of a disadvantage.
"This is really getting a bit thorny," the Homebody Witch frowned, feeling a bit troubled.
This young Angel, whom she did not know, made it difficult for her to decide on her next move.
"Who are you?"
Dorothy examined the young Angel a bit more closely.
Hehe, Little Angel, you've successfully piqued my interest.
"Seraph, Michael, at your service, Grand Inquisitor," Michael also stood before the self-assured Witch Inquisitor, introducing himself with a hint of pride.
"A Seraph? Such a young Seraph is indeed rare. No wonder you're so bold," the Fairy King, controlling the body, remained composed, acting as if he did not consider a Seraph of any great importance, maintaining his insolence.
Yet, within the Sea of Consciousness, Dorothy took a sharp breath, coming to understand the true status of this young Angel.
In heaven, there is a hierarchy of Angels, described as Three Grades and Nine Ranks.
If sorted from highest to lowest, they go as follows: the Upper Triad consists of the Seraph, Angel of Wisdom, and Throne Angel; the Intermediate Triad includes the Dominion, Virtue Angel, Power Angel; and the lower three levels are the Authorities Angel, archangel, and Angel.
However, unlike the six levels of the Witch Race that resemble more professional qualification certificates, this Three Grades and Nine Ranks system of Angels has more to do with social status, rather like the caste system of a certain historical nation.
Angels in heaven are categorized into these Three Grades and Nine Ranks from birth. Every newly born angel—whether naturally conceive
