Natural Disaster: I Started By Hoarding Tens Of Billions Of Supplies

Chapter 541: Back To The Present

Seeing that the aircraft was falling at a fast speed, Long Yu quickly controlled his wind element energy, forming a barrier around the fallen aircraft. Fortunately, he managed to stabilize it just in time, preventing it from crashing to the ground.

Once the aircraft was stabilized, Long Yu retracted the wind barrier.

Wu Yehao let out a sigh of relief after they flew out of the explosion range. He then turned to look at Long Yu and said, "Thank you, Captain Long, for saving them."

Long Yu nodded in a response, but his mind was busy finding a way to bring Yao Ran back from the future.

In the future, Gao Shuwei has just finished the ability extraction procedure.

After carefully storing the silver-white liquid, he looked at Yao Ran and said, "Sleep for a while. I will send you back after I absorb the Lingyuan Jade Pendant."

Just as his words fell, his eyes suddenly widened in surprise. A second later, he clenched his jaw and slammed his fist against the metal table in anger.

Bang!

Holding back his fury, he cursed. "Damn it! Those fools are really courting death! How dare they destroy my place?!"

Taking a deep breath to calm himself, Gao Shuwei picked up the bottle of silver liquid and turned to look at Yao Ran.

Reaching out to caress her cheek, he gently said, "Xiao Ran, it seems I have no choice but to send you back earlier than I expected."

After saying that, he stared at her for a long time before he snapped his fingers.

Snap!

A second later, Yao Ran disappeared from there.

Staring at the now-empty surgery table, Gao Shuwei sighed and muttered, "I hope you will like my last gift."

Then, carrying the bottle of silver liquid, he snapped his fingers and vanished from the surgery room.

Back to the present, Yao Ran reappeared on the charred ground.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!" Choked by the thick smoke, she coughed violently before opening her eyes.

Pushing herself up from the ground, she looked around, only to see scorched earth stretching as far as the eye could see.

"Where is this place?" she muttered in a hoarse voice.

After thinking for a moment, she recalled the last thing she remembered and hurriedly entered her space.

The moment she arrived inside, she was stunned to see that her once vast spatial domain had shrunk significantly, leaving only a few hundred hectares of farmland, grassland, a fishpond, the villa, and her warehouse.

Noticing that the lake, mountain, river, sun, moon, and wind had all vanished, she instantly knew that Gao Shuwei had taken the Lingyuan Jade Pendant.

Snapping back to her senses, she rushed to check on her crops, animals, and warehouse.

Seeing that everything was still intact, she frowned and thought, 'My original spatial ability was only the warehouse. Since the farmland, grassland, fishpond, and villa are still here—does that mean Gao Shuwei only took half of the Lingyuan Jade Pendant? But why?'

Unable to understand his motives, Yao Ran decided to set the matter aside. Her priority now was to determine what timeline she had been sent to by Gao Shuwei.

Leaving her space, she reappeared in the outside world and tapped her watch to contact Long Yu.

When she failed to reach him after a few tries, she frowned and tried contacting The Origin's headquarters instead. She waited for a while, but there was no response.

Realizing that something was wrong, Yao Ran decided to survey her surroundings first. With ruins stretching before her and fires still burning in several areas, she had no choice but to leave that place.

Thirty minutes later, Yao Ran finally found out that the ruins used to be The Ark's headquarters.

Rubbing her chin, she muttered, "I remember The Origin sent a bombing squad to attack The Ark's headquarters. Since this place is now in ruins, that means Gao Shuwei must have sent me to a time after the attack. The question is, how far am I from my original timeline?"

While she was deep in thought, something inside her space caught her attention. Flashing back into her villa inside her space, Yao Ran appeared in her bedroom.

Standing beside the bedside table, she reached out and picked up a small white badge.

Her eyes lit up when she recognized the badge and exclaimed excitedly, "This is… Elder Cousin's badge!"

Recognizing that it belonged to Yao Yuechuan, she slapped her forehead and said, "How could I forget this? Elder Cousin said this badge has a tracking function. I hope it can send my location to headquarters."

Holding the white badge tightly, Yao Ran quickly left her space. The moment she reappeared in the outside world, she inspected it closely. Noticing a small button on the back, she pressed it without hesitation.

Click!

She stared at the badge for a long time, but nothing seemed to happen.

With a sigh of disappointment, she muttered, "Looks like this thing is useless too."

Still, she pinned it to her clothes before continuing her search for clues.

Meanwhile, at The Origin's Headquarters, a staff member suddenly noticed a distress signal flashing on the map. Seeing that it was sent by one of their agents, he quickly typed on his keyboard.

Within moments, the sender's detailed information appeared on the screen.

Looking at the name, the staff member frowned in confusion. He turned to his colleague sitting on the table next to him and asked, "Has Captain Yao left for an investigation or assassination mission recently?"

The other staff member stopped what he was doing and replied, "No. Captain Yao has been on a rescue mission with Captain Jiang since last week. They just returned this morning with another group of survivors."

Seeing his colleague staring at the screen in confusion, the staff member asked curiously, "Why do you ask? Is something wrong with Captain Yao's mission?"

The first staff member shook his head, then pointed at his screen and replied, "Look at this."
