"I'm fine." Yao Ran said before sitting down beside him. She then looked at everyone and said firmly, "I have known for a long time that their target is me. That's why I should be the one to act as bait."

The moment she said that, Long Yu grabbed her hand and rejected her idea. "No! You know your own condition. You can't go."

Yao Ran lowered her eyes and squeezed his hand gently. Taking a deep breath, she said, "A Yu, I need to face my past on my own. Instead of running from it, I have decided to confront it."

"But—"

Before Long Yu could protest, Yao Ran interrupted him with a soft smile. "I have you and our friends. I will be fine."

Long Yu knew how stubborn she was, but he couldn't let her go alone. Since he couldn't change her mind, he decided to make a backup plan.

It takes them ten days of working nonstop before they finally manage to gather some information. The next morning, they gathered again in Yao Ran's villa.

Sitting around a large dining table filled with food, Long Yu asks, "Have you guys found anything?"

Ling Yi takes out a report from his backpack and hands it to Long Yu.

While Long Yu and the others read through the report, Ling Yi explains, "The disappearance of the ability users is very mysterious. Not only are the locations scattered, but there are also no traces left behind."
