Chapter 22 - Wave Wind Water Gate

Chapter 22: Wave Wind Water Gate

In the blink of an eye, half a day had passed. Ruofeng remained in class, his gaze fixed on the blonde-haired boy in front of him.

“Hello, everyone… My name is Namikaze Suikado, and I am your front-table neighbor!”

Namikaze Suikado, still a Shotokan, spoke with a warm smile. As a child, Suikado was undeniably handsome, and his smile carried an infectious charm.

Ruofeng smiled slightly. “Aren’t you afraid of being rejected?”

Ruofeng glanced at the rest of the class. The once-noisy students immediately fell silent under his gaze. The morning’s events had already stirred their hostility, but none dared to meet his eyes. Instead, they distanced themselves from Ruofeng and his two companions.

Perhaps this reaction was due to his perception ability, though Ruofeng was unsure. Maybe Grandpa will know.

Despite the silent exclusion, Mizukado approached them fearlessly.

Scratching his head, Mizukado smiled. “It’s fine. They just don’t understand you guys yet. Once they do, they’ll come around.”

“Hmph…” Jiu Yukino snorted, unimpressed by Mizukado’s optimism. Mizukado looked slightly embarrassed, but Ruofeng spoke up. “Quite the personality. Well then, once again, my name is Ruofeng.”

He then turned his gaze to Jiu Yukino.

Jiu Yukino sighed before relenting. “Fine, fine… For Ruofeng’s sake, I’ll introduce myself again. My name is Uzumaki Jiu Yukino, and my dream is to become the first female Hokage of Kiba!”

Her bold declaration left Mizukado momentarily speechless. Meanwhile, Uzumaki Reiko’s quiet words gave Mizukado a deeper understanding of her.

Through conversation, Ruofeng grew familiar with Mizukado and, in turn, learned more about the ninja academy from him.

Before long, the school day neared its end.

Before Yamada could officially dismiss the class, a loud voice called out from the doorway.

“Ruofeng! Hurry up and come out! We’re taking you out to have some fun today!”

Jomonoki stood there, completely disregarding Yamada’s presence.

Yamada forced a small smile. He knew exactly who Jomonoki was—the grandson of the First Hokage. In all of Kiba, Jomonoki held privileges that even the Third Hokage would not contest.

With a resigned nod, Yamada announced, “Class dismissed! Everyone, head home.”

As the words fell, Ruofeng led Jiu Yukino toward Jomonoki.

The other students remained silent. Not only did they fear Ruofeng’s gaze, but they also feared Jomonoki, a known troublemaker in the academy.

Ruofeng shook his head as he followed Jomonoki out of the classroom.

A short while later, in a small shop, Ruofeng sipped his tea while listening to Jomonoki.

“Ruofeng, no one’s bullying you guys in class, right? If they are, just let me know! I’ll teach them a lesson. After all, I am the boss of the ninja academy!”

Ruofeng’s lips twitched. “Just eat your ice cream and stop talking about being the boss.”

He was now certain—Jomonoki was undoubtedly Hashirama’s grandson. Ruofeng had previously suspected as much, expecting Jomonoki to resemble Naruto in temperament. However, it seemed that Jomonoki had inherited many of the First Hokage’s more carefree traits.

A boss, gambling, fighting… Ruofeng shook his head. How did the First Hokage raise his descendants? Tsunade inherited his bad habits, and now Jomonoki too. Is this some kind of unique teaching method?

Night soon fell.

A figure approached their table, addressing Jomonoki in a low voice. “Young master, Lady Mito requests your presence.”

Jomonoki nodded before turning to Ruofeng. “Ruofeng, I’ll head back for now, but I’ll take you out again tomorrow!”

Ruofeng scoffed. “Take me out? I think you just want free food. This shop belongs to my family.”

Jomonoki laughed. “No wonder my sister always mentions you! You’re loaded!”

With a playful grin, Jomonoki dashed off.

Once he was gone, Jiu Yukino turned to Ruofeng. “Ruofeng, I’m heading back too.”

Ruofeng nodded, watching them leave.

His relationship with Jiu Yukino had been strong from the start, and today’s events had further cemented her loyalty. She made no effort to hide her stance. Currently, she resided with the Senju Zan and trained under Uzumaki Mito’s guidance—a key reason why she would grow so powerful in the future. Though she was rarely mentioned in the original timeline, it was clear that Jiu Yukino was no ordinary kunoichi.

Jomonoki had likely come to class not just to check on Ruofeng, but also to ensure his sister had not been bullied.

As the three left, a servant from the shop approached Ruofeng. “Young master, are you heading home as well?”

Ruofeng nodded. “Yes. Also, if those three visit any of our establishments in the future, everything is free for them—especially Jiu Yukino. Make sure they are well taken care of.”

The servant immediately memorized Jiu Yukino’s face. Perhaps she will be our future mistress.

Ruofeng ignored their assumptions and left the shop, heading home.

Upon returning to his room, he found his grandfather waiting for him.

His grandfather smiled. “Ruofeng, today was quite the success. It seems you’re already subconsciously utilizing your perception ability.”

Ruofeng’s eyes widened. “How did you know?!”

Earlier, when he had been irritated, his spiritual energy had unconsciously leaked out, carrying a hint of indifference. This caused the other students to instinctively fear him.

He had found it strange.

Yet, the moment he returned home, his grandfather had already known.

His grandfather chuckled. “Not bad… You truly inherited your mother’s spiritual power. To awaken the Zan’s abilities so quickly—impressive.”
