Chapter 14 - Maelstrom Jukunai

Chapter 14: Maelstrom Jukunai

Ninja School, Headmaster’s Office.

Ruofeng had just stepped into the corridor when he saw Jomonoki gesturing for him to stay quiet.

Ruofeng nodded silently, following Jomonoki’s finger to the principal’s office.

A familiar figure appeared—it was Third Generation Naruto Sarutobi Hinata.

Ruofeng wondered, Why is the Third Generation Naruto here? Although he is the principal, he usually doesn’t come to the ninja school!

He continued forward, not concerned with Jomonoki’s gesture. In front of Sarutobi Hinata, it was likely that his presence had already been noticed the moment he entered the corridor. Hiding now seemed unnecessary.

Inside the principal’s office, Third Generation Naruto said, “I’ll trouble you to arrange classes for these two children.”

“Third Generation-sama… Please don’t worry, I will place them in the first class!” a teacher replied.

Sarutobi Hinata nodded silently and said, “It doesn’t matter what class it is, just ensure their safety.”

He then turned his gaze to the two little girls, and Ruofeng followed his gaze.

His eyes widened as a strange feeling took hold of him. What’s going on? It’s her!

Jomonoki glanced at him with some confusion. “What’s wrong with you? You can’t be looking at the little girl inside!”

Ruofeng sniffed and shook his head. “What’s with that? How old am I? But it’s so strange… How come these two girls have red hair?”

Ruofeng spoke slowly, but in his heart, he knew. The red hair was a sign of a clan, and the somewhat familiar faces led him to recognize who they were.

Suddenly, Sarutobi’s voice came from within the office. “Jomonoki… Come in!”

Jomonoki smiled awkwardly at the words, before tugging Ruofeng into the principal’s office.

As they entered, Ruofeng noticed a little girl glaring at him, her face filled with fury. She spoke, “I have very good ears. Is it strange that my hair is red?”

The little girl’s gaze was full of displeasure as if she would start a fight if Ruofeng said the wrong thing.

Ruofeng shook his head and smiled lightly, his gaze sincere. “It’s not strange. What’s strange is the way people look at it. I’ve never seen red hair before, but you look beautiful with it. Red hair suits you, doesn’t it?”

He spoke with sincerity and a hint of a smile. Then, a breeze blew, curling her red hair. Ruofeng reached out and gently caught a strand of her hair. “It’s beautiful. I’ll keep this.”

At his words, the little girl flushed, a touch of shyness replacing her anger.

Rope Tree looked at Ruofeng in disbelief. “Amazing, I’m convinced!”

Ruofeng wasn’t paying much attention to Jomonoki’s words. He stretched out his hand. “My name is Ruofeng. I’ve come to attend the ninja school too, so maybe we’ll be classmates.”

The little girl shyly extended her hand and said, “My name is Whirlpool JiuXinNa.”

With that, she quickly withdrew her hand. Ruofeng nodded slightly before turning to the other little girl with red hair.

She stood on her tiptoes and said softly, “I’m called Whirlpool Reiko.”

Ruofeng smiled, looking at Jiu Xin Na and Reiko. These two were from the Whirlpool Clan. He didn’t know who Whirlpool Reiko was, but he recognized Jiu Xin Na. She was the mother of the future protagonist, but right now, she was just a little girl.

Originally, Ruofeng had thought that Jiu Xin Na had already entered the ninja school, but he now realized she was only starting. In the original timeline, Jiu Xin Na inserted herself into the class, but now, she was inserting herself into the class along with him.

Ruofeng looked at the two little girls, his gaze sincere. He slowly took out a jade box. Inside the box were three black wooden blocks—the Kirin.

At that moment, Ruofeng took out the Kirin Exhaustion and gently placed Jiu Xin Na’s red hair into the jade box, treating it with great care.

Jomonoki, watching, gave a thumbs-up. “High… This is too high. Although Jiraiya often tried to teach me how to pick up girls, I was always rejected. Now I see, you’re the master.”

Ruofeng didn’t hear Jomonoki’s inner thoughts. He only felt the preciousness of the red hair. This was from the Whirlpool Clan! Moreover, in the original story, Wave Wind Suimen used red hair to get Jiu Xin Na into his grasp. Now that Ruofeng had met Jiu Xin Na so early, he wouldn’t let such an opportunity slip. As for the protagonist Naruto—Ruofeng didn’t care about his life or death.

Looking at the furious little girl, he noticed her blush now, and her eyes dared not meet his.

Sarutobi Hizuru laughed. “It seems you’ve made a friend already. My worries were unnecessary. Have fun going to school here.”

As Sarutobi Hinata spoke, Tsunade entered the office, lifting Jiraiya, who had a swollen nose.

Tsunade glared at Jiraiya and said, “Bastard Jiraiya! If there’s a next time, I’ll kill you!”

Jiraiya, bruised and battered, muttered, “I won’t do it again… I swear…”

Ruofeng swallowed nervously, glancing at Tsunade. Jiraiya didn’t seem badly injured all over, but his face had turned into something unrecognizable—like a pig’s head. Ruofeng could barely recognize him.

Sarutobi Hinata showed a touch of embarrassment and said, “You two are here as well!”

Tsunade nodded, and then her gaze fell on Ruofeng. “Hehe… Ruofeng little brother, looking impressive!”

Her eyes shifted between Jiu Xin Na and Ruofeng.

Ruofeng chose to remain silent—what could he say at this point?

Jiraiya spoke up. “Not bad, I see you’re learning the moves… Be careful…”

Before he could finish, Tsunade threw another punch.

Jiraiya immediately fell silent, but Tsunade laughed softly and then turned to Jomonoki. “I sent you to school today, so why are you still here?”

Jomonoki sniffed and quickly said, “I’m on my way!”

Then, he looked at Ruofeng. “I’m in the third-grade class. If you need anything, find me. I’ve got your back!”

After that, he jumped out of the window, completely unconcerned with the teacher’s helpless look. Jomonoki, the grandson of the First Hokage, was a purebred official third-generation ninja. Even Naruto’s words couldn’t touch him, let alone a teacher.

Tsunade nodded in satisfaction. “Just so happens that the old man is here as well. This child was recommended by Jiraiya to come here and prepare for school.”

Sarutobi nodded. “I heard Jiraiya mention this child—Ruofeng, right?”

Ruofeng sniffed, looked at Sarutobi Hinata, and said, “Yes, Naruto-sama.”
