Chapter 1048: Mo Family Princess’s Marriage [50]
“Princess.”
“Princess?”
Madam Zhou called out several times.
Not until Xiao Yebai in the living room seemed to become aware did he lift his head.
Mo Weiyi inadvertently met his gaze, felt a flutter in his chest, and quickly averted his eyes, nonchalantly chewing the food in his mouth, “Madam Zhou, where are my pickled cucumbers?”
Madam Zhou was speechless, “Princess, I was just about to ask you, we are out of pickled cucumbers, are pickled radishes okay?”
A small plate of pickled radishes was already on the table.
Madam Zhou was best at making such pickled vegetables; the radish strips were cut into fine, long sections and marinated with pickled chili, carrots, and other ingredients, which really enhanced the flavor. Mo Weiyi liked them a lot.
“Alright.” Mo Weiyi nodded and picked up a piece of pickled radish and put it in his mouth.
As for the man on the living room sofa…
Xiao Yebai indifferently withdrew his gaze, his attention returning to the newspaper.
Though it was said time was running short, Mo Weiyi lingered over his meal for nearly half an hour.
Finally finished, he stretched languidly, coquettishly saying, “What time is it.”
Madam Zhou checked the time, “Princess, it’s 9:40 now, shouldn’t we be heading out?”
“Hmm.” Mo Weiyi stood up.
With a cat-like glance at the man in the living room, he coughed lightly, “Isn’t it very hot outside?”
Madam Zhou: “Yes, but the weather forecast said it might rain this afternoon and the temperature will drop. Princess, do you want to bring a jacket…”
“Weather forecasts are never accurate.” Mo Weiyi said as he picked up his phone to call a close friend.
After setting a time, she got up and cleared her throat again, “I’ll go upstairs to get ready, Xiaobai, why don’t you wait for me in the garage.”
Xiao Yebai put down the newspaper and stood up, “Got it.”
**
Nancheng, a well-known bridal shop.
Madam Chu looked at her phone for the Nth time.
It was already past 10:30 in the morning.
Setting her phone down, she looked at her son sitting across from her, “Axui, call your fiancée.”
“Why the rush?” Chu Xiuhuang was engrossed in a mobile game, his legs crossed in a carefree manner, “She’ll come when she comes.”
“What time is it now?” Madam Chu was growing impatient.
What do you think?
