Chapter 748: French Prodigy

Inside the tunnel, Hiro stood alongside his teammates dressed in their home uniform. Standing beside them were their opponent for the evening, clad in their respective colors.

Most of them exuded an aura of confidence, while a few looked rather anxious.

However, even among those who looked solemn, a few stood out, especially the bald individual with an imposing figure— Vittorio Moretti.

Hiro was well aware of his mark. Given his position, he would inevitably clash with him. He was also aware of his open provocation.

This imposing individual with inked arms looked remarkably composed as if nothing could bother him. Even in the simulation, Hiro had struggled to get through to him. Hiro wanted to peek at his state.

But his ability outside the pitch was limited.

He would have to wait if he wanted to peek at his state. However, even without being able to see, Hiro could sense a feeling of unease emanating from him.

Just then, while observing him, Vittorio rolled his eyes to look at him.

Immediately upon meeting his gaze, Hiro felt a shiver run down his spine. Hiro couldn't spot even a trace of warmth in those eyes. Those eyes were devoid of emotions. It felt like he was looking at something that didn't belong in this world.

Even with his open provocation, he could back his words.

That's what made him even more terrifying.

Hiro wanted to avert his gaze from him, but he couldn't even bring himself to do so. He felt he would lose something if he averted his gaze from him.

Despite the chills, Hiro maintained his composure.

Without even realizing it, Hiro was staring at Vittorio in the same way he was staring at him.

Perhaps, amused by Hiro's boldness to stare back at him despite his young age, Vittorio couldn't help curling his lips.

'So, you're unfazed, huh?' Vittorio grinned ear to ear in amusement.

The image of Vittorio grinning at him looked even more unsettling. He looked like a fox plotting something sinister. Even his smile looked crooked and sinister.

With limited interaction and heavy stillness, the atmosphere in the tunnel was already stifling. But now faced with such a situation, Hiro couldn't help but tighten his knuckles.

'Just what's wrong with him?' Hiro couldn't help but ponder. 'Is he a maniac or something?'

Hiro had assumed him to be the silent type. But now, facing him in person, he couldn't think the same. Vittorio appeared more like a crazy psychopath than a silent killer, as he had envisioned before.

The moment the announcement echoed through the tunnel, the players began their march.

Step by step, the line moved forward, the dim tunnel slowly giving way to an overwhelming brilliance ahead. With each stride, the thunderous roar of the crowd grew louder—first a distant hum, then a tidal wave crashing into them. The light at the end of the tunnel wasn't just sunlight—it was spectacle.

Hiro walked in rhythm, but his heart betrayed him. It thudded in his chest, louder than any chant or drumbeat.

Hiro had trained his mind to be calm and silenced every doubt in the hours leading up to this. But now, as the edge of the tunnel neared and the energy of the stadium spilled over him like a breaking wave, something shifted.

The pressure crept in.

'So, this is what it feels like…' he thought, lips curling into a nervous smile, 'Maybe I wasn't as ready as I believed.'

And then he stepped out.

The scene hit him all at once.

A coliseum of giants—rows upon rows of fans forming a wall of color and sound. The stadium stretched infinitely around him, towering and alive. Flags waved, smoke flares painted the air, and the chants of thousands blended into a single, deafening anthem of passion.

It wasn't his first time in front of a crowd this size, but this… this was different.

This was the Champions League final.

Every breath felt heavier. Every sound rang sharper. His boots felt more real on the turf, and the weight of the world sat just behind his ribs.

And yet, through the nerves, awe stirred in him.

He turned slowly, eyes sweeping across the stands, taking it all in—the sheer scale of it, the power of it, the dreams that filled the air. His pulse quickened not just with anxiety, but with wonder.

His chest rose and fell rapidly, eyes shimmering beneath the stadium lights.

He was here.

Right where he had always dreamed to be.

The moment he had dreamt of as a child, he was experiencing it.

For a moment, he couldn't help but wonder if he was dreaming. This entire experience felt so surreal that he couldn't help but doubt.

The doubt only intensified as he marched onto the field.

'It's real…,' He pinched his arms in disbelief.

The pain, although small, still felt real. This further solidified his understanding. Hiro's eyes glistened in excitement as he became aware of his reality.

"I'm here…," Hiro whispered under his breath.

For some moment, he remained engrossed in the experience. Then, after he woke up from his jubilation, he began to analyze his opponents.

Though he had managed to make it here, he hadn't won the trophy yet.

Hence, he couldn't lower his guard just because he had made it here.

Exhaling deeply, Hiro stabilized his pounding heart and composed himself. Then he swept his gaze around.

Just as he utilized his skill to analyze his opponents, different colored arrowheads appeared above the heads of the opponents.

He spotted quite a lot of threats as he peeked at their state.

Especially, Vittorio, Donnarumma, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia, and an individual with golden-brown hair swept back with a touch of rebellious curls falling forward.

He had a striking sapphire blue gaze.

However, his expression made him seem rather lax and bored.

Before, when he stood at the tunnel, Hiro couldn't pay much attention to him because he was occupied with Vittorio. But now, as his eyes fell on him, Hiro couldn't bring himself to take his gaze off him.

Just like him, he was also considered a prodigy.
