Chapter 21 - 21 21 The Furious Mu Yingchen 1_1
Chapter 21: Chapter 21: The Furious Mu Yingchen 1_1 Chapter 21: Chapter 21: The Furious Mu Yingchen 1_1 Su Wanxia clenched her fists, glaring angrily at the sleazy faces before her, feeling her chest fill with a burning rage.
She coldly snorted with disdain, boldly retorting, “How much?”
The two men perked up excitedly upon hearing this, their minds already overflowing with the desire to take this stunning beauty into their arms.
A hint of a smile bloomed on Su Wanxia’s lips, causing both men to become ecstatic.
While the two men were distracted, she suddenly lifted her right leg and kicked viciously between the legs of the man in the floral shirt who was closest to her.
At the same time, one hand swiftly grabbed the crystal ashtray on the table and smashed it down hard onto the green-shirted man’s body. She’d aimed for his head initially, but even though the ashtray seemed small, it felt as heavy as a rock in her hand. If she’d actually cracked his skull, she would have been in trouble.
Her movements were smooth and swift, like flowing water; in an instant, two screams echoed down the hallway, one of which was particularly agonizing. One didn’t need to guess who was letting out such a tragic cry.
After performing these actions, she didn’t even look back and bolted toward the exit, turning right at the end of the corridor toward the VIP room they’d been in.
She wasn’t foolish; she knew that people capable of being in the Yemei VIP Area were no pushovers, but if she didn’t break free, who knew what those two men might do to her? She had to run now; if the people from the room came out, she would really be in trouble.
She dashed forward desperately, as if running a marathon, but the high heels she wore hindered her speed, and the man in the green shirt was quickly gaining on her.
In a moment of carelessness, she stumbled, fiercely twisting her left ankle and tumbling onto the red carpet.
Before she could get up, the man in the green shirt reached her and barked, “You bitch! It’s your lucky day that I fancy you, and you dare to sneak attack? I’ll show you!” While speaking, he grabbed one of Su Wanxia’s hands and began dragging her back.
The fall had been hard for Su Wanxia, and now being dragged along the carpet by the man was agony. Although there was some cushioning, the friction against her skin was painfully intense.
With her other hand, she frantically tried to pry his away. Her left foot unusable, she kicked fiercely with her right, but it was futile.
“Ah!” Suddenly, the man flung her hard onto the ground, causing her to cry out in pain.
“Zhuo Er! How should we handle her?” the man in the green shirt asked the ghastly pale man on the sofa, as the others from the VIP room came out and ensnared Su Wanxia tightly within their circle.
Prostrate on the floor, in disarray, her fringe soaked with sweat, Su Wanxia slowly raised her head to see the man called Zhuo Er sitting on the sofa with a somber expression. She knew it was too late now to call Mu Yingchen; she regretted acting on impulse to run out, for now, no one in heaven or on earth would come to her aid.
“You filthy woman, you dared to kick me? Tired of living, are you?” Zhuo Er grabbed her chin harshly. “Pretty face, but shame about the stubbornness. Today, let the brothers educate you well!”
Then he let go and told the other men, “Drag her inside!”
Hearing this, Su Wanxia panicked. She hadn’t expected these people to be so bold and vile in their treatment of her. She couldn’t go inside, absolutely not; if she really did, the consequences were unimaginable, even to her.
Her mind racing, she feigned a hurt ankle, clutching at it as the two men approached to drag her. In a swift movement, she slipped off her shoes and flung them at both men.
When pushed to the brink, one’s body can release extraordinary strength. She sprang up quickly, bearing the pain in her foot, and bolted down the corridor with all her might.
“Damn, she dares to run!” The coarse curses of a group came from behind her.
She didn’t dare to look back, summoning all her strength to keep running forward. Despite the end of the corridor not being so far away, it felt to her as though she would never reach it.
Mu Yingchen stepped out of the private room, his face expressionless, and walked directly toward the restroom in the Yemei VIP Area. Although he didn’t frequent such places, he had been here a few times.
Just as he rounded the corner, he saw a crowd gathered not far down the corridor. His heart sank suddenly, and a bad premonition swept over him.
As he was about to approach and see what was happening, a woman suddenly burst out of the crowd, running desperately towards him, barefoot and disheveled.
His heart plummeted into an abyss, followed by a tidal wave of raging fury. An icy chill instantly emanated from his tall and upright figure.
He strode forward quickly, his obsidian eyes filled with murderous intent.
In one swift motion, he wrapped Su Wanxia, who was looking down as she ran like mad, in his arms, then took two steps forward and kicked the man chasing her to the ground. While holding Su Wanxia, he brutally and bloodily beat the group of men.
Screams and wails filled the air, and some bled profusely on the ground.
Mu Yingchen’s cold gaze fixed on the man sitting on the sofa, his face filled with terror.
Then he took out his cell phone, pressed it gently, and within moments, four bodyguards appeared in the corridor, bowing respectfully to him.
He spoke coldly, “Teach this bunch of people a lesson and send them to the police station. I don’t want to see them for three to five years.”
One of them nodded in understanding. He knew what Mu Yingchen meant by not wanting to see them – it meant staying behind bars.
“As for him and him. Keep a close eye on them until I return to deal with them.” Mu Yingchen raised a finger, pointing at Zhuo Er and the man in the green shirt who was wailing on the ground. If he remembered correctly, he and Zhuo Er were often partners in crime, so this matter couldn’t be detached from him.
Upon hearing these words, Zhuo Er felt as though he had heard the Death Curse. His already pale face became even paler, and he scrambled from the sofa to Mu Yingchen’s feet, stammering with terror, “Mu… please spare me.”
“I beg you to spare me this time, I really didn’t know she had something to do with you.”
“I’ll never dare again, Mu…”
Mu Yingchen kicked him away, not sparing him a glance, and carried Su Wanxia horizontally, swiftly walking out. If one observed closely, they would notice his long, fair hands were trembling slightly.
Only then did Su Wanxia come back to her senses. She didn’t even know how she had managed to run through the Encircling trap of those people, nor how Mu Yingchen had suddenly appeared before her. She felt so tired and leaned her head gently against his firm shoulder, closing her slightly sore eyes in exhaustion.
This embrace always felt so safe, no—this man, whether in the past or the present, as long as he was by her side, she feared nothing.
Mu Yingchen, looking at the person in his arms, felt a flicker of an indescribable emotion through his dark eyes before he quickened his pace.
What do you think?
