Monster Among Monsters

Nolan's neck was pierced through by two daggers and blood poured out like a bursted water pipe. Everyone from the human race widened their eyes in shock because they hadn't really expected Nolan to be fatally wounded by the Dark Elf. They had expected Nolan to miraculously block the attacks and even counter the Dark Elf like his it went down in novels. 

Unfortunately, the assassin's ambush was successful but the assassin wasn't the slightest bit happy. 

‘What the fuck?!’ he cursed inwardly. 

Puchi! 

A sword pierced through the assassin's throat then with a swipe, the assassin was decapitated. 

“Man I nearly died, if not for my strong bones, my head would be rolling on the ground right now.” said Nolan while brushing his neck that was now self healing. 

The reason why the assassin cursed in confusion was exactly because of Nolan's bones. His sneak attack supposed to decapitate Nolan's head, not fatally wound him. But the daggers couldn't cut through Nolan's spinal cord at all which confused him and clouded his judgement of immediately escaping. And for this mistake, he paid for it with his life. 

‘Lucky me, he wasn't using Unique Rank Weapons or I'd be a goner. Also, his attack helped me to escape from my comprehension.’ thought Nolan as he looked at the sword.
