Chapter 26 - 26 26 Skeleton King

26: Chapter 26 Skeleton King 26: Chapter 26 Skeleton King Before becoming a Beastman Commander, Zhou Tian had already evolved his strength to nearly its peak.

The numerous players that died at his hands allowed him to evolve almost ten times.

Each evolution either strengthened a talent or gave Zhou Tian a new one, establishing him as a Beastman Warrior with seven or eight different gifted abilities.

After becoming a Commander, although all his talents were downgraded from Ultimate to Special Level, Zhou Tian had inevitably made considerable progress by evolving from a Warrior to a Commander.

His current combat power, even among all the previous Beastman Commanders, was definitely among the top.

In the Skeleton Clan, besides the Skeleton King, no Skeleton Warrior would stand a chance against him.

In fact, after joining the battle, Zhou Tian quickly inflicted significant losses on the Skeleton Tribe based on his strength alone.

Given the circumstances, Zhou Tian’s destructive power when he fought with all his might was substantial.

Once he occupied a chokepoint, he managed to kill more than a dozen Skeleton Warriors and a few Skeleton Archers in a relatively short time, even clearing an open space directly in front of him due to his swift actions.

After Zhou Tian has made his move, some Skeletons were genuinely terrified of his performance.

Only after taking a few steps back out of fear, the Skeletons got over it because of the Skeleton King’s authoritative command, and once again rushed towards Zhou Tian.

As a result, Zhou Tian had no opportunity to retreat after joining the battle.

After all, their defense line was under significant pressure, and if Zhou Tian didn’t put more effort, the defensive line could easily be broken by the opponents.

Once Zhou Tian held a position, his powerful strength relieved some of the pressure on the Beastman Warriors.

As a result, the defence line, which was on the verge of breaking due to the Beastmen’s resistance, showed signs of solidifying once again due to Zhou Tian.

Originally, when attacking the Beastmen, the Skeletons never ceased their efforts, though they didn’t seem particularly rushed.

Perhaps it was because of the effectiveness of the Beastman forces led by Zhou Tian against the Skeleton Warriors, the Skeletons started getting impatient when their defence lines became increasingly unstable.

Finally, after several Skeleton Warriors failed to break Zhou Tian’s defense line and were even killed by Zhou Tian, the Skeleton King eventually grew restless.

Since Zhou Tian had started his campaign, he had received numerous death notifications from his Beast Slaves and Beastman Warriors.

Despite suffering heavy casualties, he knew that his actions could not possibly have been in vain after paying such a high cost.

Just as Zhou Tian, the Beastman Commander, was receiving these messages, the Skeleton King would naturally have the same information.

Even though the Skeleton King, due to its less intelligence than Zhou Tian, might have been unsure about what these messages meant initially, by the time Zhou Tian’s campaign was near its end and it realized there were not many surviving members of its tribe left, it couldn’t possibly not understand what was happening.

Therefore, when Zhou Tian had been in the war for a long time and his HP was less than half, the Skeleton King couldn’t bear it anymore and was about to join the battle.

Unlike Zhou Tian, the Skeleton King made a grand display on the field, which was not something Zhou Tian, as a Beastman Commander, could match.

While Zhou Tian was indeed powerful and had all the authority of a commander, his actions were no different from those of an ordinary Beastman.

However, unlike Zhou Tian, the Skeleton King carried itself with royal pride at all times.

Members of the Skeleton Tribe didn’t vary much in appearance.

Skeleton Warriors were just skeletons, Skeleton Archers were merely skeletons with weapons added, and even Skeleton Warriors, though sporting more sophisticated weapons, were not much different from regular Skeletons.

Only the Skeleton King, nearly twice the size of a regular Skeleton and as conspicuous as the skeleton of a giant, seemed different.

Throughout the time Zhou Tian had observed it, it had always stood out as it sat at the back, commanding its tribe to attack Zhou Tian and his men chaotically.

Now, when the Skeleton King was preparing to join the battle, it didn’t forget to display its authority.

Despite being capable of joining the fight directly, it chose to order its subordinates to fall back, clearing the frontline before marching towards Zhou Tian alone.

“All of you, come at me together!” Though Zhou Tian didn’t see the Skeleton King speak, he heard those words ringing distinctly in his mind, knowing he should receive orders from it now.

It could be said that the Skeleton King was extremely arrogant, but Zhou Tian had to admit that it indeed had the strength to back up its arrogance.

“That’s a good idea.” Zhou Tian had to admit that, even without physically fighting the Skeleton King, he knew he could not match it in terms of level.

Now that the Skeleton King allowed Zhou Tian and all of his surviving Beastman Warriors to join forces against him, albeit insulting, Zhou Tian decided to swallow his anger and seize the opportunity to buy more time.

“All together!” Without hesitation, upon hearing the Skeleton King’s command, Zhou Tian ordered his Beastman Warriors to rush towards it.

Zhou Tian himself did not move.

The warcry was issued, but he wouldn’t put himself in jeopardy without knowing the Skeleton King’s strength.

In the showdown, he instinctively used his Beastman Warriors to test the waters, while he chose to wait and observe.

Apparently, Zhou Tian’s decision was wise.

Before the showdown, he already had some expectations about the Skeleton King’s strength based on the level difference, but without a direct confrontation, Zhou Tian couldn’t truly understand the Skeleton King’s power and ended up underestimating it greatly.

According to Zhou Tian’s calculations, the Skeleton King was undoubtedly stronger.

However, he was confident that the talents he acquired recently significantly enhanced his abilities.

Originally, he felt capable enough to defeat Level 12-13 players, but now he believed he could face a Level 15 player without any pressure.

According to Zhou Tian’s memory, the Skeleton King was strong, but Level 16-17 players should be able to fight him.

Therefore, Zhou Tian initially believed that even if his abilities were not as good as the Skeleton King’s, he would still stand a chance in a fight.

However, after Zhou Tian had assessed the Skeleton King’s abilities in his mind, the King’s subsequent actions completely overturned Zhou Tian’s initial impressions.
