CHAPTER START---

"Progress report?" Flect Turn asks.

His sister activates a large screen in his office, displaying a world map with twelve cities highlighted.

"We have reports of Horizon stopping Trigger from destroying two cities," she says. "But we're waiting for him to finish before activating the other devices. The last thing we want is him coming here before the global dispersion unit is fully active."

Flect Turn glares at the screen. "Damn Mudman. We just needed a bit more time. Having to rush this is nerve-wracking."

"It can't be helped. Our network was too large to escape him forever. It was a matter of time before he found us."

He looks out at the city below, the capital of Otheron. "They still don't know where, aside from somewhere in this city. Until Horizon gets here, we've got time."

She uses the tablet in her hand and activates another screen, showing a progress bar quickly filling.

"Not fast enough." Flect Turn rushes to the seat at his desk and gets to work on his computer. "We need more time, I'm activating the others."

"Then we won't have anything left."

"This is the end, one way or another."

She looks back at the map to see ten more cities marked red. "And Nine?"

"We will use him last, he will make a wonderful distraction."

"I'll prepare the activation protocols," she says while working on her device. "This will certainly get Horizon's attention away from us."

---Meanwhile…

Standing on a rooftop in Brazil, overlooking a large city. Horizon and Phantom Thief observe as the cloud of Trigger is contained and counteracted by Horizon's Remote Room.

The large blue dome spread across the entire city and contained the incident, and the moment it showed to be enough, a purple Warp Gate appears behind them.

"Where to next?" Horizon asks while turning to follow Phantom Thief through the gate.

They both step through and arrive on a rooftop across the world.

"New Zealand," Phantom Thief says as they see green gas spreading through the city below.

"How many more?" Horizon asks while creating a Remote Room and instilling it with the command to contain the gas and create healing energy for the city below.

He then expands it to encompass the entire city.

"Three more after this. Will you be alright?" Phantom Thief asks.

"Let's just go to the next one."

Phantom Thief nods and opens a Warp Gate for them to continue working.

A few stops later, they both exit a Warp Gate back into the main control room.

Mudman doesn't bother looking away from the large monitors on the wall while people are scurrying about in the background compiling data for him.

"Was that all?" Horizon asks.

"Not quite. Look," Mudman gestures to one of the monitors, showing a city covered in thick green gas. Making it almost impossible to see the silhouettes of the buildings.

"Where is that?"

"Las Vegas," Mudman says. "Unlike the others that took minutes, this one took seconds. Be careful."

"The others still need time to contain."

"I'll send crews out once your Quirk has contained the gas. But if you can't handle whatever is in Las Vegas, just leave. We can't afford you losing focus and the other cities getting gassed because of it."

"I'll be fine." Horizon looks at Phantom Thief. A purple Warp Gate then appears around him, sending him to the outskirts of Las Vegas.

He sighs, seeing the dark midnight desert all around and the shrouded city in the distance.

Expanding his Room he senses a man walking through the streets, Trigger pouring out of his body and filling the air.

SHAMBLES!

He warps to the man, Sunder ready and aimed at him.

'All For One?' Horizon wonders, now seeing the man up close. Nine was eerily similar and showed physical signs of having multiple Quirks, all without being a Nomu. 'No, I recognize this guy…'

"Argh!" Nine screams as he sees Horizon, then holds his head as painful memories wrack his body.

His bones remember breaking and snapping. His flesh remembers being sliced and flayed. His lungs burn once more, as if he was experiencing the saltwater filling them all over again.

"Ngh!" he can't even form words while lashing out. Firing ten energy beams, one from each finger. All in the hopes of keeping Horizon's cruelty and malovelence from hurting him again.

'I guess we aren't going to talk this out,' Horizon thinks before warping away from the beams, appearing behind Nine.

Nine instantly releases an omnidirectional concussive wave, and Horizon barely senses the air and Trigger being pushed away in time to warp away.

"Ok, now you're annoying me, even more than this crap already was." Horizon aims Sunder at Nine. "Let's get this over with…"

---Otheon's Capital…

"We have a problem," Star says the moment Phantom Thief steps out of the purple Warp Gate.

Standing on a rooftop at the city's edge, they can see the controlled chaos taking place below, and even the civilians can feel that something is wrong.

"Be more specific," Phantom Thief says.

"Can you get these people out of the city?"

He gives her a strange look. "Yeah. How far? And why?"

"That's why," Star points at Humarise tower in the middle of the city. "Humarise tower and the entire aquifer system below the city is a giant chemical bomb, filled with Trigger."

"Doesn't seem like a big problem."

"Normally it wouldn't be. But these psychos built the biggest fumigation system ever. It goes off, and the entire region, if not the entire world, gets hit with Trigger."

"Which is why you aren't kicking in their teeth already. Even early detonation could kill billions. Ok, I'll send them to the far side of the country. But I need people to gather in large areas so I can do entire batches at once."

"I thought you could make multiple Warp Gates easily now."

"I can, but I just got done evacuating Tokyo City."

"Is something happening there?"

"I don't know, but right now, this is more important." Phantom Thief begins creating Warp Gates in the massive plazas and parks around the city. "How do you plan to stop the Trigger from spreading?"

"The formula is too widely dispersed already for my Quirk to get it all. And they made it into a viral disease. The best way is to incinerate it all."

"The city? Can you do that?"

"Just focus on the evacuation, and when everyone is gone, give me the all clear."

"Got it," he says before she flies upward, rocketing past the clouds. Seeing that he can't help but smile. "You Mystery Class people really are something else," he says before opening another Warp Gate and stepping through it.

A mere few minutes later the evacuation of this city is complete, largely thanks to Phantom Thief.

And Flect Turn sits in his office opposite his sister, watching the process unfold on their screens. One monitor showing the evacuation, another showing the short battle between Horizon and Nine.

Looking past her he nods to one of the screens. "Look at Nine, he's survived these past few minutes well."

She spins around in her chair, watching the fight closely. "Our plan to split Horizon's focus worked well. But, there must have been variable at play that we couldn't have accounted for. Something else wore him down before the—"

BANG!

A bullet explodes her brain and shatters the screen. Scattering blood, bone, and brainmatter accross the clean tiled floor.

Behind her, Flect Turn looks down at the gun in his hand before dropping back into his seat.

"Sorry. I'm so sorry. But this is better than what they'll do to us, and we didn't have the time to debate it…" he says as a purple Warp Gate manifests in his office.

He immedaietly raises the gun to his own head and squeezes the trigger.

But in an instant Deku blurs out of the Warp Gate and smacks the gun with one finger, gently enough the shatter it without breaking Flect Turn's arm in the process.

Only after the fact did he looks around to see the corpse on the floor, which Cellophane and Simon carefully step over as the exit the Warp Gate.

Flect turn glares at them, then looks down at his desk.

"He's not going to talk," Cellophane says while walking over to the man. He takes out a flashdrive and plugs it into the computer, not bothering with the man who was trying his best to ignore them.

Simon snaps his fingers, pulling Flect Turn's glare toward him. "This is the part where you tell us your grand evil plan."

Flect Turn scoffs. "I have nothing to s—"

BRAINWASHING COMPLETE!

Simon rolls his eyes. "Transfer all important documents onto that drive, now."

Flect turn does as he's told, silently working to obey his master's orders.

And minutes later, Star and Stripe gets a call while standing in the air high above the city.

"All clear," Mudman says in her ear. "Cleanse the area now."

She frowns and looks up at the sky. "This isn't how I wanted to introduce you to the world. Hopefully they don't cause a big fuss over you…" she says while taking a deep breath.

Not becuase what she is about to do is difficult.

But becuase it is so remarkably easy. So easy that had there not been someone capable of challenging her, it would not be allowed to exist.

"Star Strike System: Activate!" she reaches into the night sky as the nanobots melded to her body activate. "Firing sequence begin. 5% output, immediate fire!"

High above, oribiting the Earth, a massive satefllite structure.

Constructed by David Shield, Principal Nezu, hundreds of covert engineers, and placed in orbit by Horizon, activates.

The heroes outside the city anxiously wait, then a bright light engulfs the sky.

A laser beam nearly a mile wide descends on the city that's only 10 miles accross.

The Star Strike system is a superweapon, legally disguised as 'Advanced Hero Equipement'. A loophole that only exists becuase, due to the nanobots within Star and Stripe, the weapon can only fire if targetting her.

And it can only be fired by her. A suicidal agreement, unless you're Star and Stripe.

She flys toward the blinding white energy beam and reaches out with one hand.

Using one Order to maintain her transformation, a second to fly. And after Awakening, her third order is finally being used in the field.

NEW ORDER: This energy beam will condense into a sphere in my grasp!

The binary plasma fusion reactor of the weapon is designed with her commands in mind.

The energy signature is identical to her natural energy signature, allowing her to manipulate it as easily as her own body. Becuase of this, even the massive quantity of energy contained within a 5% output blast is easily molded into a glowing white basketball sized sphere in her hand.

Containing the energy she then looks down at the city, and with much hesitation, hurls the sphere directly at Humarise Headquarters.

---Las Vegas, Minutes Later…

"I'm fine. Just try not to need me for a few hours," Horizon says while sitting on a hotel roof.

The Las Vegas strip was ahead of him, showing the situation in Otheon on massive screens while Mudman chattered in his ear.

"Got it. I'll have Phantom Thief open a Warp Gate for you as soon as we're done moving the civilians."

"Yeah, no rush," Horizon glaces back to see Nine's corpse resting near a basketball sized blue sphere containing the Trigger that was poisioning Las Vegas.

Looking at the street below he sees people walking around, checking on their friends and family after recieving him healing energy via the Room over the entire city.

He then turns back to the screens and can't help but chuckle.

"Maybe I am a bad influence," he jokes as they show a large molten crater where Otheon was.

Before another minute can pass however, the screen suddenly changes to a gorgeous celebrity newswoman.

"This just in, some important celebrity news has just hit the net and has instantly gone viral!" she says with a mix of excitement and trepidation.

Beneath the visor Law rolls his eyes. "The world is in crisis and they still want to gossip. What can be—"

His eyes widen as Horizon, Arsenal, and The Heart Thief are shown side by side on screen. Their family connection revealed to the world.
