Chapter 1301: Chapter One Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Four: Now It’s Really Over

Gao Yang was desperate now. Getting his head blown off or being strangled to death didn’t feel all that different. Either way, the ending was the same—death.

Number Thirteen’s sudden attack didn’t succeed, but it scared everyone enough that the person strangling Krulney instinctively loosened his grip. Krulney, who had rolled his eyes in shock, managed to breathe again. The biggest benefit of Number Thirteen’s action was giving Krulney a few more breaths of air.

At least three people charged at Gao Yang. Either resist and get a bullet to the head, or don’t resist and get strangled to death—at least that way, his corpse would remain intact. Gao Yang’s options were starkly limited to these two.

“Drag them outside! Drag them out! You useless imbeciles!”

Hearing Suharitan’s frantic yelling, Gao Yang swiftly retracted the kick he had just thrown.

Number Thirteen’s sudden attack had somehow bought them a sliver of opportunity. Being dragged out and executed wasn’t the same as dying inside the room. Moving outside meant there was still a chance.

Two men stepped forward to lift Number Thirteen. With pain etched across his face, he gritted his teeth and said, “Sorry.”

Held firmly by three people, Gao Yang sighed and said, “You did your best.”

Number Thirteen was wounded in the abdomen—a piercing wound. The fact that he had followed them here was already a stretch. For him to make another move now, it would be physically impossible.

Krulney was just gasping for air. Having brushed with death’s door, he couldn’t do anything but desperately suck air into his lungs.

Once Number Thirteen was hauled up again, Suharitan barked angrily, “Take them out! Torture them! Humiliate them! Don’t let them die so easily—hurry!”
