Chapter 2541 2541: 2541. More Monsters
"The rest will be coming today.' Walker's head shot up and he looked at the small golem.
"The rest of the earthen chimeras? You have made a decision so quickly." He was somewhat shocked since he expected that the true earth sage and anyone else involved would need a lot more time to make a choice whether the earthen chimeras could be and would be led here to the world.
"Yes, they will. We have seen a great deal and I have even watched how you assisted the new race from the fire territories. They are in a very weak state and they have been offered nothing but the best. I believe that the earthen chimera will be offered the very same as they break through the last threads of a wall to take proper intelligence and proper racial status."
This was a fair point, the races and those that joined Genesis gained a lot, especially at the beginning. While Walker and the entire party would assist anyone they could, when the races first joined Genesis they had a greater focus. Many of the races would include themselves to ensure the start of a good bond.
Specifically, the demi-humans making their way around the earth chimera lands that had been set up for them to manipulate and build the earth as they saw fit were making a lot of progress. Unknown to Walker until just earlier that day, the demi-humans with lion and feline traits were quickly allied with the earth chimera.
The small cubs who were naturally curious took a liking to their new guards almost immediately and it was less of a squad of guards protecting while the earth mages showed more skills and easily considered babysitting and playing.
Because of this, there were others within the demi-human guards and soldiers who were jealous of this. They felt that they were being left out of the best part of rotation because they lacked the traits.
Naturally this was why there were now various guards around with different traits and the cubs clearly had favorites. But the mother, she appeared to be enjoying all of it quite a bit. When Walker had checked in on them earlier this morning, she had found the earthen chimera parent lounging on a bed of soft sand it had made while its children ran about chasing an unfortunate avian traited demi-human guard.
Not that they could actually catch the guard if they wanted.
As Walker looked back toward the bridge to the elemental planes, he then looked down at the golem of the true earth sage. "Now, they are coming now, aren't they?" He shook his head slightly before standing up and stretching a little. He had some work to do now.
The true earth sage's golem reformed at the bridge and Walker began giving out orders rapidly. The movements of mages and guards to ensure the path to where the other earthen chimera were.
Keeping their oath clear could avoid any issues with the new earthen chimera feeling threatened or generally starting fights. It also allowed Walker to focus his force on them if they decided to run wild.
As several began to appear, the mages pulled away additional earth mana while Walker stood in the air above looking down. The manas around Walker did not appear threatening, however, they were potent. So much so that many of the weaker earth chimera that appeared right away froze in place when they glanced at him.
A quick roar from the distance proved the parent already resting had sensed the familiar manas. This was another bit of proof of their powerful earth affinity being able to sense the familiar mana of their own kind.
Those who were more powerful and had enough courage to move forward despite Walker's gaze followed the sound. They saw the magic being used around them while the natural mana that soon rained down and wrapped them was doing the same it had to the parent.
The level of stimulation was much less because there was no direct contact where Walker could take the time to slowly sense the life mana to push it in to more bonding with the world's earth mana. Yet, that didn't seem to be an issue, that would be an advantage the parent who came here first possessed and might even be why she would lead their race one day.
Walker hadn't missed the fact that the parent walking through first compared to these now Walker through the bridge was significantly stronger than the others.
It made a lot of sense though. The others had been harmed and many of their number lost to another monster. This being the case they would be weaker and a parent able to raise multiple children needed a lot more strength to hunt in the earth elemental plane. So, of course, the first earthen chimera was the strongest.
Again, not that the true earth sage had mentioned that.
A small growl came from one of the younger earthen chimeras. It pushed ahead a few weaker earthen chimeras who clearly needed healing.
When Walker landed next to them they froze and the one who had growled to push them forward regardless of injury stood between him and them to protect them. It was not the most powerful but seeing that they protected their injured was a major step that every race should have taken in development.
This was a sign of good things. That protection could extend further to others in time and grow the races much better than the state they were run now.
Before the earthen chimera blocking Walker could live he'd already cast multi heal skill on them. Their state got better and the Energy in their eyes seemed to return. A few that were limping or lagged behind were able to keep up.
As Walker turned away to catch up and oversee the others, he heard a smaller growl. Not angry but a little kite thankful in terms of what the previous growls he'd heard were.
"There are a few less than I expected." Walker didn't need to hear why when he spoke to the true earth sage's golem again. He knew that there were fewer because they had run in to trouble.
"They can grow here. I believe in that." The weight in those words were a promise the true earth sage wished to be kept. An example that they would be able to hold over all of the other potential homes for this race and others.
"Do you think the other sages will be sending other races and monsters here any time soon?" This was important to prepare them. They needed to know that Genesis needed more space and time to allow others. Building alone might need to be changed or people might need to be trained.
"Not for the time being. There will be some extra mana flowing though. A few elemental planes are melding with the general planes." After raising an eyebrow in curiosity, Walker thought about this fact.
Many more elemental planes existed outside of the balance elemental planes. That was just how the origin beings ensured safety and balance. However, if these new planes were added there was a chance the balance or all elemental planes could shift a little more.
It could and would most likely cause some stress and more displaced monsters and races. Meaning that Walker could be in the flow of many more issues coming sooner than later.
"I will warn and have everyone ready just in case. I also want to prepare for more expeditions in the future. Strengthen people to handle the expeditions. Can you mention that?"
He trusted that the true earth sage would be ready and willing to do this for him. He would meet the other sages and go in to detail about the future and what could be done with Genesis for the races of the elemental planes.
The idea of trade between established races there and in the world had not been forgotten.
"In time I trust we can manage all of that. If we can manage it then I will make it happen." The true earth sage gave his word before his focus returned to the way that the earthen chimera's were acting.
The parent who came first roared and received responses. She was very good at calming them and seemingly teaching them to relax in safety. Some even immediately began to move the earth in to small huts they could rest in.
The speed that they were making themselves comfortable as all because of the first earthen chimera that came with her cubs. They had become comfortable after seeing the way they were treated. It set the tone and allowed for faster progress now.
In a few years they might just break away from something that should take many years let alone many generations to do.
