Chapter 6255: The Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s Sectmaster
Jie Shanxian was right.
The Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen split into many groups upon entering the Immemorial Bloodline Tower, but the group with the strongest members marched straight to where Chu Feng was.
The others went off to inform the other Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen.
Jie Shanxian reached into her Cosmos Sack and absorbed a talisman paper into her palm. She channeled her spirit power and began constructing a formation.
“The Huangfu Heavenly Clan is filled with sore losers.”
Jie Shanxian suddenly received a voice transmission. She turned around and saw several figures standing not too far away. They had average appearances, but she could tell at a glance that they were in disguise.
To her astonishment, she couldn’t see through their disguise.
“I am Jiang Buxiu, the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s sectmaster,” another voice transmission was relayed to Jie Shanxian.
It was the voice of the middle-aged man who stood outside the Seven Realms Immortal Sect earlier. It turned out he was the Seven Realms Immortal Set’s sectmaster.
Upon learning about how easily Jie Shanxian refined the Purpledream Ascensions, he ordered his men to locate her whereabouts.
Jie Shanxian and Chu Feng headed here straight without bothering to disguise or conceal themselves, so it was an easy feat for world spiritists of the Seven Realms Immortal Sect’s caliber to find them.
As soon as he received Jie Shanxian’s location, he rushed over with a group of people.
“I apologize for the disrespect my sectmembers have shown to you. What are you waiting for? Apologize to her right now!”
Two people trailed behind the sectmaster.
“Milord, we apologize for our earlier disrespect.”
The two of them bowed in unison. Their faces were disguised, but they didn’t alter their voices. They were the woman and the old man who slighted Jie Shanxian earlier.
“What do you want from me?” Jie Shanxian asked.
“I see that you’re a candid person. I shan’t beat around the bush then. Our sect placed those Purpledream Ascensions outside for others to refine, with the goal being to find someone talented enough to refine them.
“Unfortunately, we have never found anyone capable of doing so, to the point where we have almost given up on it. That’s why we opened our barrier and took back the flowers, leaving only inferior ones outside. We didn’t expect you to arrive right after.
“I don’t know your affiliation or where you learned your skills from, but we need your capability. We’ll compensate you accordingly if you work with us,” the middle-aged man said.
“You want me to help you refine Purpledream Ascensions?” Jie Shanxian asked.
“Yes, there are Purpledream Ascensions that are more difficult to refine in my sect,” the sectmaster replied.
There were suddenly loud exclamations from the crowd—Chu Feng had caused yet another commotion. He had compressed the thousand-meter-wide formation till it was less than ten meters wide, turning it from intangible into tangible.
The formation now resembled a metal piece crackling with nine-colored lightning. There were marks on the metal piece, but the metal piece was just a fragment, so the mark was also incomplete. It was impossible to decipher the mark just from this single metal piece.
Given how this metal piece had invoked a phenomenon throughout the entire Immemorial Bloodline Tower, there was no question that it could lead one to a huge fortuitous encounter. However, obtaining the metal piece was easier said than done.
Chu Feng released his hand seal, but the nine-colored lightning inside his body continued surging into the metal piece. It could be that the metal piece was absorbing his bloodline power, or that he was exerting dominance over the metal piece to become its owner.
The crowd could only speculate on the situation.
Soon, the Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen arrived at Chu Feng’s vicinity. They noticed that the metal piece emanated an aura almost identical to the Immemorial Bloodline Tower; the two were clearly one entity.
The way Chu Feng infused his bloodline power into the metal piece was similar to how the tower was activated earlier. It was likely the only way to gain ownership over the metal piece.
The Huangfu Heavenly Clan was appalled. Were it not for the Immemorial Bloodline Tower suddenly turning transparent, they wouldn’t even know that there was such a mechanism in the tower. The thought of them filled them with inexplicable anger.
Several surges of oppressive might simultaneously fell on Chu Feng.
Anyone else in Chu Feng’s place would have been scared out of their pants, but Chu Feng calmly asked, “Why are you exerting your oppressive might on me when there is no grudge between us? Does the Huangfu Heavenly Clan intend to kill me?”
The elder leading the group glared at those who exerted their oppressive might. People were spectating outside, and they weren’t planning to tarnish their reputation for good here.
Huangfu Zhantian had already ordered them not to go too far.
Even though the Huangfu Heavenly Clan couldn’t care less about these cultivators, especially since they had only invited them to exploit them, they had no intention of making it appear too blatant. They should at least appear fair on the surface, or else they could lose public support.
Upon the elder’s glare, the Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen quickly retracted their oppressive might, though they felt aggrieved. In the first place, they were here to teach Chu Feng a lesson. They didn’t expect the latter to question them.
“I didn’t expect this young friend here to possess the Heavenly Bloodline too,” the elder said with a smile as he approached Chu Feng.
“Why? Did you think that your Huangfu Heavenly Clan is the only one with the Heavenly Bloodline?” Chu Feng asked.
Chu Feng’s discourteous attitude made the elder’s cheeks twitch in anger. How dare a junior act so arrogantly? Is it just ignorance? Or is he a fool?
The elder didn’t know that Chu Feng had already deciphered the tower’s secrets, so he knew that the tower had become transparent and that the crowd could see their interactions.
Chu Feng understood well how powers like the Huangfu Heavenly Clan operated. They still committed evil deeds, but unlike demonic sects, they were hypocrites and still wanted others to see them as good people.
Otherwise, they could have just forced the crowd to do their bidding during the activation of the Immemorial Bloodline Tower. There was no need for them to come up with useless explanations to lie to the crowd.
If no one was watching, they wouldn’t have wasted their time with words. They would have just killed Chu Feng and snatched the metal piece.
“This young friend, you’re thinking too much. The Heavenly Bloodline is not exclusive to our Huangfu Heavenly Clan. I’m just asking out of curiosity. May I know how did you find this item?” the elder suppressed his anger and asked with a jolly tone.
“You’re asking the obvious,” Chu Feng replied with a chuckle.
A Huangfu Heavenly Clansman roared, “Audacious! Answer our elder’s question as it is! Stop acting so arrogantly!”
They were so used to being domineering that it was a struggle for them to feign courtesy.
Chu Feng blinked his eyes. “The nine-colored lightning sphere earlier contains information about these items. You should have seen it too. That’s why I say you’re asking the obvious.”
Chu Feng briefly paused before adding, “Or were you unable to decipher the clues in the nine-colored lightning sphere?”
All of the Huangfu Heavenly Clansmen, as well as the spectators outside, were startled. Most of their complexions turned awful. Even Huangfu Zhantian coughed twice and scratched his head.
Even Huangfu Zhantian had failed to decipher the nine-colored lightning sphere, let alone the others.
What do you think?
