---

Mist shrouded the air, and towering mountains stood in grandeur.

A sleek black sedan drove into the courtyard. Chen Feng, now dressed in a gray robe, followed Wu Shuang and the others as they stepped out of the vehicle and headed toward the ancient residence where his master stayed.

Along the way, many formal and core disciples appeared. Their expressions were solemn, carrying a weight of unease.

Before long, the group passed through a small courtyard.

A slender young man, clad in a white-gray robe, stood by a pond, feeding the goldfish within.

The bamboo forest nearby swayed gently in the breeze, rustling softly as a few yellowing leaves floated into the pond.

"Young Martial Uncle," Wu Shuang and the others greeted respectfully. Chen Feng also followed suit, addressing him politely.

"Let Direct Disciple Chen, proceed alone," Li Chenye said nonchalantly as he scattered more fish food, ripples spreading across the pond as the goldfish scrambled for food.

Wu Shuang and the others nodded, halting in their tracks, while Chen Feng proceeded alone across the corridor.

"Direct Disciple Chen," a figure called at the entrance to a gray courtyard.

It was Li Shi.

"The sect master’s injuries are severe, and he’s in and out of consciousness..."

After quietly briefing him, Li Shi opened the door.

With a creak, Chen Feng stepped inside.

The interior featured wooden tables and desks, with jade plates of Azure porcelain placed on either side. A landscape ink painting adorned the wall.

Entering the bedroom, he saw a figure lying on the bed, half-covered by a quilt, holding a phone in hand.

On the screen, a young woman danced provocatively, scantily dressed.

Oddly enough, Chen Feng let out a sigh of relief.

Even though he knew it was all an act, on the way here, a part of him couldn’t help but worry it might be real.

"Ah, you’re here?"

Li Tong smiled as he turned off his phone and sat up.

He still wore his white robe with red patterns, but his face looked pale, and his eyes carried a dimness to them.

"Master, what is this?"

"Bah, if we’re acting, we might as well make it convincing," Li Tong replied with a grin. Then, as Chen Feng approached, a gleam flashed in his eyes.

Swoosh!

In an instant, like a shadow, he appeared beside Chen Feng, grabbing his arm and staring intently.

"You’ve stepped into the Inner Strength Realm?"

"Yes," Chen Feng nodded, barely stopping himself from instinctively unleashing his strength.

"Good heavens," Li Tong exclaimed, releasing his arm.

"How many days has it been? Three days?"

"No, wait..." His expression shifted as he seemed to realize something.

"Show me your force," he urged eagerly.

Buzz!

As his words fell, the room heated up.

Chen Feng didn’t hesitate. Soon, deep crimson flames enveloped his arms, radiating a pure and fierce energy.

"Such purity... and no signs of using secret medicines."

Relieved, Li Tong’s gaze toward Chen Feng became complex—filled with admiration, astonishment, and anticipation.

"Martial enlightenment... and born with domineering bones."

"My disciple, it seems you are destined to become a Grandmaster," Li Tong declared, his tone brimming with excitement.

At that moment, he couldn’t help but laugh heartily.

My disciple is destined for greatness! Who else can compare?

In contrast, Chen Feng remained calm, though there was some confusion in his expression.

"A Grandmaster?"

"After reaching the stage of force, the next realm is True Intent," Li Tong explained, noticing his puzzlement.

"Myself, your Third Martial Uncle, and your Young Martial Uncle are all at this level."

"In the martial arts world, this is known as the Sect Master level. Only by reaching this stage can one establish a sect."

"Then what about Grandmasters?" Chen Feng asked.

"Above True Intent," Li Tong said seriously.

"At that level, the mysteries of the human body are fully unlocked, and one’s energy and vitality become as vast as the ocean."

"In any martial arts world, a Grandmaster is a cornerstone, a pillar that elevates any sect to the pinnacle of power."

"In the past, our Heavenly Flame Tiger Sect..."

He suddenly paused, shaking his head with a sigh.

Chen Feng sensed something unusual but refrained from pressing.

"Anyway, my dear disciple," Li Tong said, patting Chen Feng on the shoulder with a look of encouragement.

"Train hard. Once this matter is settled, I’ll secure that strengthening martial art for you."

Chen Feng nodded, choosing not to question further.

When the time is right, he’ll speak.

Just then, footsteps sounded from outside.

Without hesitation, Li Tong darted back to his bed, pulling up the quilt.

The door creaked open, and Xu Tingxiao entered, carrying a bowl of medicine, his expression heavy.

Chen Feng exchanged a glance with him. Xu Tingxiao opened his mouth to speak but said nothing, simply walking to the bedside.

"Master, it’s time for your medicine," Xu Tingxiao said, repeating it several times before Li Tong groggily opened his eyes and drank the concoction.

Chen Feng observed, noting that Xu Tingxiao, too, was unaware of the act. He kept silent, standing quietly by the side.

After tidying up, Xu Tingxiao left with the bowl of medicine.

As the door closed with a creak, Chen Feng voiced his doubts.

"Your junior brother is too naïve. If he knew, he’d blow the cover," Li Tong said with a sly smile.

Shaking his head, Chen Feng eventually left the room.

---

Meanwhile, in a villa’s living room elsewhere, two figures conversed.

"Where’s Blood Poison Hand?"

The speaker was a tall, curvaceous woman in a red leather jacket. Her crimson lips and striking eyes carried a dangerous allure, with pupils resembling vertical slits tinged with dark gold.

"He said he’s seeking revenge—likely on the sect master of Heavenly Flame Tiger Sect. After all, they crippled him ten years ago," the cloaked figure beside her explained, a raven perched on his arm.

"Fool. He’s only recently fused with the divine power crystal. Without breaking through True Intent, how can he kill anyone?"

The red-leathered woman’s tone turned icy.

The cloaked figure chuckled. "Blood Poison Hand isn’t that reckless. He must have his own plans."

"You and I can wait for his return without worry."

The woman in red snorted coldly at these words, feeling the situation was too coincidental, like a trap.

She wanted to summon him back immediately, but her call was directly declined.

"Ever since he merged with the Divine Power Crystal, his attitude has grown increasingly arrogant."

Her face darkened slightly as she squinted her eyes.

The shadowy figure in black chuckled lightly to ease the tension.

"Side effects are normal. Weren’t we the same back then?"

After a pause, he changed the subject, "Rather than worrying about him, let’s focus on the task the alliance entrusted to us."

"After all, it’s being led by you and me."

The woman in red narrowed her eyes at his words but finally nodded lightly, temporarily setting the matter aside.

---

Night fell, and the sky was adorned with countless stars.

In the Heavenly Flame Tiger Sect, lanterns were hung, giving off an air of traditional elegance.

There were occasional murmurs of conversation and the sound of footsteps.

But as the night deepened, everything fell silent.

Especially in the courtyard of one of the inner disciples.

Buzz!

Consciousness sank, and Chen Feng opened his eyes.

The dream world of rolling mist reappeared before him. Dressed in a new loose gray T-shirt and carrying a black backpack, he stood on an asphalt road.

The branch of the Extreme Martial Hall was half a kilometer away. Yesterday’s retreat caused by the black-faced spiders still left a bitter taste.

Crack!

Clenching his fist, the air vibrated.

He stepped forward, calm but with his blood gradually heating up.

Tap! Tap!

Tap, tap, tap!

Tap, tap, tap, tap!

His pace quickened as he moved forward.

Finally, when he stepped within 100 meters of the Extreme Martial Hall—

Whoosh!

A shrill and furious screech echoed. In the blink of an eye, seven or eight black-faced spiders rushed out of the hall, surrounding him.

Five half-meter-tall first-tier spiders and two larger ones—a male and a female—the very group from yesterday.

Swish, swish, swish!

Grayish-white webs tore through the air, and the spiders’ long legs struck the ground or clung to the walls along the street.

Some even hung upside down from streetlamps, leaping over a dozen meters in one swing.

Whoosh!

Stomping on the ground, Chen Feng charged forward like a nail driving into the spider swarm.

Webs brushed past him as his skin quietly turned a bronze hue.

Crack, crack, crack!

Muscles expanded and bones grew.

The towering two-meter-tall figure of a burly giant reappeared. His massive palm clenched into a fist, coiling at his waist.

When a black-faced spider lunged at him—

Buzz!

A white misty ring formed as a bronze spear shot forth, piercing the spider’s dark exoskeleton.

Blood splattered, Azure droplets filled the air.

Tap, tap!

As two smaller black-faced spiders approached from the sides, Chen Feng coldly pulled back his fist, unleashing explosive force.

Crash!

It sounded like fire igniting.

Deep red energy enveloped his arms. His left hand struck out in a palm, and his right in a punch.

Tiger Roar Style: Shock!

Flame Blast Style: Explosion!

Boom! Boom!

Energy erupted.

The spider on his left appeared intact but collapsed as its internal organs were shattered by the impact, crashing into a nearby supermarket window.

The spider on his right exploded entirely, its exoskeleton and flesh scattering in all directions.

Screech!!!

The male and female black-faced spider leaders let out sharp cries.

The remaining smaller spiders were commanded to retreat. Soon, shadows loomed as all the streetlights dimmed.

A massive male spider, over three meters tall, finally arrived. Like a towering mountain, it raised its forelimbs to strike at Chen Feng.

"Azure Armor."

A mutter echoed in his mind as the mark on the back of his hand flashed.

Boom!

The ground quaked as the asphalt beneath Chen Feng’s feet sank, fracturing within a two-meter radius.

But upon closer inspection—

A layer of Azure chitin quickly spread across his body, encasing him entirely.

A single horn stood upright, and his crimson eyes gleamed fiercely.

Boom!

Fragments of debris scattered as his figure vanished in a flash.

In the next moment—

Boom! Boom!

The sounds of explosions rang out. Two smaller spiders hiding on the sidelines were obliterated, their blood and shell fragments mixing in a gruesome display.

Screech!!!

The male spider roared in fury, spitting out a web several meters wide.

Whoosh!

The sound of it cutting through the air was sharp and piercing.

Chen Feng’s right arm, encased in Azure-black chitin tinged with red, clenched into a fist and struck forward.

Boom!

Energy exploded, igniting a fiery burst.

A hole tore through the sticky web as a flash of Azure light shot through, like an arrow.

Whoosh!

Chen Feng inhaled sharply mid-motion, tightening his grip as his muscles swelled, layering over one another.

When he finally stopped, planting his feet firmly into the ground, the towering male spider loomed before him like an imposing wall.

Exhale.

He punched forward.

Boom!!!

White energy rings burst outward with a muffled explosion, striking the spider’s abdomen.

A single punch carrying over six tons of force—equivalent to the strength of a Silver grade cyborg—landed.

Crack!

The black exoskeleton caved in, cracks spreading.

The male spider’s Azure eyes flickered with dread as it tried to retreat.

Boom!

Chen Feng’s left fist followed, striking again.

The repeated impacts caused intense pain, and the spider let out a mournful cry.

Screech!!!

The female spider frantically cried for help, summoning another massive spider—nearly three meters tall—that had been hiding nearby.

The new spider leaped down from a tall building with a deafening whoosh.

But—

The crimson light in Chen Feng’s eyes shone brightly. Despite his exhaustion from his explosive attacks, he roared coldly.

"Rise!!!"

With a ferocious grip, he tore into the male spider’s flesh and shell.

Explosive strength surged as he bent his knees and twisted his torso.

Thud, thud, thud!

The incoming webs were intercepted by the struggling male spider. In the next moment, a thunderous boom reverberated.

Amid the smoke and trembling ground, Chen Feng’s powerful over-the-shoulder throw crushed the male spider, while the other spider was now within reach.

His left palm struck first, followed by his right fist.

Tiger Roar Style and Flame Blast Style collided in dazzling bursts of deep red.

Boom!!!

The nearly three-meter spider disintegrated mid-air, leaving only its legs and fragmented eyes scattering to the ground.

Without hesitation, Chen Feng moved again.

Standing before the male and female spiders, he resembled a giant blocking the way.

Boom!

His fist descended, blood splattering, exoskeletons shattering.

The weakened male spider struggled to rise, but shadows loomed, threatening to engulf Chen Feng’s form.

Green blood splattered across his Azure armor as he crushed the spider beneath his fist.

Boom!!!

The earth-shaking explosion rocked the streetlights, shattering windows.

The massive spider’s body vanished, leaving only a pool of green blood on the ground.

Tap.

Chen Feng stepped forward, crushing an eerie green eyeball beneath his foot.

He scanned the ruined street, his heightened senses detecting no signs of life.
