Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World

Chapter 136 - 136 Seven Headed Hydra [Part 2]

Xavier watched from the shadows. The Hydra was distracted. Now was his chance.

He dashed forward, his sword glowing with a dark crimson aura as he aimed for the closest one of its necks and took a step up [Wind Stride]

The Hydra heads were far from the ground, but with his [Wind Stride], Xavier reached the closest one, and before it could attack the rest of the group, Xavier struck.

As soon as he was in range, he swung with all his strength.

The blade cut deep, black blood spraying across the ice as it cut the head clean off. The Hydra screeched in pain, its body moving backward as all the rest of the heads turned towards Xavier.

"Sylve, now!" Xavier shouted as he used his [Wind Stride] to dash away.

"Holy Flame"

Sylve, already prepared as she saw Xavier, unleashed a blinding beam of light at the wound. The golden flames burned into the Hydra's flesh, sealing it before the head could regenerate.

The Hydra thrashed violently, its remaining six heads screeching in rage.

"Yes," the Harpy shouted.

Xavier knew this was just the start, now they had to find a way to do the same to all six remaining of the head, and his sword was now changing as it tasted the blood of the Hydra.

The sword pulsed. The faint glow of crimson veins spread through the sword, weaving patterns across the blade like it did the first time.

The steel darkened, turning jet black with streaks of red running through it like molten lava. The same writing carved themselves into the metal, glowing faintly.

A low hum echoed in the air, resonating with Xavier's heartbeat. The sword came alive. Power surged through his arm, but this time he didn't go on his knees.

[Bloodreaver - Awakened]

'More, I want more,' Xavier heard the echo in his ears, but unlike before, he wasn't losing his mind; he was just hearing the voice.

Xavier clenched his jaw, forcing himself to ignore the whispering hunger of his sword; he could do that because it didn't affect him like it did earlier on, but even before, it didn't do much at first, so he just had to focus on the battle.

Now wasn't the time to lose focus. The Hydra was enraged, its remaining six heads screeching like furious serpents with its eyes glowing.

The ground trembled as the beast let out a loud roar, its massive body twisting with surprising speed.

Without warning, two of its heads lunged at Xavier at once, snapping their fangs down toward him, they were working in perfect coordination.

He barely managed to dodge, flipping backward as their icy breath turned the ground beneath him completely into ice.

His boots skidded across the icy surface, but he used [Wind Stride] to propel himself away before another head could strike.

"We need to keep moving!" Xavier shouted, "Sylve, begin creating holes in the ground"

The dwarf, gripping his hammer tightly, immediately began moving; among the group, the Dwarf and Sylve were the slowest.

The Hydra's tails lashed out, aiming straight for Sylve and the Harpy with one of the heads watching them.

Sylve barely created an earth wall in time, and the Harpy was too close to the ground; the impact sent cracks racing through it before it shattered completely, and the force sent both of them tumbling backward.

"Are you two okay?" Xavier called as he dodged another one of the Hydra's icy breaths.

"We're fine!" Sylve groaned, pushing herself up. "But I can't keep blocking like this forever!"

The Harpy flapped her wings, regaining altitude. "We need to cut off more of its head"

Xavier's sword pulsed again. He could feel its power surging, craving more blood, but he was still in control; the fact that the sword had tasted blood was all it needed.

"Then let's go for another one!" Xavier growled.

The dwarf gritted his teeth as he shouted, "Same plan?"

"Yes, but faster! We can't...let it get used to our strategy!" Xavier was the one taking the brunt of the attacks now.

They scattered again, and this time, Xavier took the lead.

Four of the heads were facing Xavier while the other two were facing the rest, Xavier darting forward toward the Hydra to draw its attention.

All four of the heads facing Xavier curled up, and soon, icy mist poured from its jaws, chilling the air as frost spread across the battlefield.

"Shit!!" Xavier shouted as he had nowhere to go; the four heads were so in sync they first formed a barrier trapping Xavier between the Ice before actually aiming for him.

"Oh shit..." Xavier couldn't think of something as the ice converged on him.

The Hydra stopped its icy breath as a frozen figure of Xavier was standing there with his sword in his hands, trying to block the attack; for a second, the Hydra thought it had won, but one of its heads fell off again.

Xavier cut clean through this time; it was so clean the Hydra had no idea it had happened until the head fell down before it realized and let out another loud roar.

The Xavier that was frozen was his ice clone, before the ice converged on him Sylve had created a hole behind him which he jumped in after creating an ice clone in place and it worked perfectly.

The Hydra reeled from the loss of another head, its enraged cries shaking the battlefield.

Xavier landed a few feet away, his breath visible in the frigid air.

His grip on his Bloodreaver tightened as the sword pulsed with hunger, but now he knew his new ability was working perfectly; he wasn't losing himself. Instead, he just felt a rush of power.

Sylve, panting, steadied herself, her hands glowing with earth magic as she prepared for the next phase of their attack; Sylve, the Dwarf, and the Harpy were dealing with the other two heads, which were now screeching in pain.

Sylve was at the other side, but the Harpy was above and immediately shot a flame spell and a wind spell, simultaneously creating a large area for the flame as it burnt the head, which Xavier just cut off.

The Hydra's remaining five heads writhed, and something changed; they could all feel it; they knew something was different as the Hydra completely stopped.

The temperature dropped even further as frost began coating everyone's body.
