Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!

Chapter 234: The Cavern’s Finishing Touches (4)

With a bright flash of light and a strange buzzing noise, Aoni and Nyria appeared inside the first Teleportation Relay, a bit disoriented but overall fine.

"Well, that was something," shaking his head twice and checking on his birb, Aoni stated with a sniffle.

{'That…wasn't so bad; my tummy is a bit wiggly, and I feel buzzy, but I didn't frow up.'} Nyria stated with a hint of wariness as she looked down at the fading glow emitted by the Array.

"That's another thing checked off our list; I can handle this next part, so how bout you go find your sister to finish up the remaining chores around the fort while I go through the process of moving the Flume down into the Manor." Giving Nyria a pat on the head and a warm smile, he thought back to the small interaction between them earlier after he'd drawn her blood.

'Sure enough, she isn't normal, and for some reason, I feel like Glacia will be the same. Oi, stupid chatbox, any input on why her blood is a swirling of two colors with sparkly flecks?' Watching his summon go off on her own and walking toward the Flume whose room had previously been dismantled, Aoni asked half-curious, half-concerned.

Summon: Nyria's blood is as to be expected from a member of her Race

'That's it? No explanations; what about the sparkly bits? They felt familiar, isn't that odd to you?'

Odd? No, it is to be expected as her blood has been tempered by Progress Points, the same as the Host or even Summon: Glacia. All beings who it's power has tempered will show similar traits

However, unless someone has physically come in contact with this energy designated as Progress Points, it will be to most, unperceivable. As for the two-tone color of Summon: Nyria's blood, it is because she shares half the blood of an ancient Species, while the other half is more generic, diluted

'…' Standing before the Flume, Aoni's eyes momentarily flicked to the chat box before he sighed and reached into his Inventory.

'I knew Progress Points weren't something simple from the moment I noticed them moving into the Flume while upgrading, and from the memory fragments I received upon Nyria's summoning, I can surmise what this so-called "Ancient Species" is. However, the fact that only people who've been subjected to Progress Points can see their effects is new to me.' Exerting a bit of strength, Aoni withdrew a large stone box completely covered in inscriptions and placed it on the ground in front of the Flume.

Nothing comes from nowhere, and it's the same with the power obtained through adding points. For the Host's peace of mind, it should be acknowledged that unless a being has reached 8-Star or higher, they will be unable to naturally perceive the Lingering Energy left by spending Progress Points

'Gotcha, good to know…I think?' Frowning for a moment, Aoni sat down on the ground in such a way that he could place one hand on the Flume and his other on the strange stone box before slicing open his freshly healed right hand and now his left and placing them both on their respective artifacts, before chanting the long and convoluted script passed down by his Dad.

If it hasn't been guessed by now, this box was the key to moving a Flume.

In Short, the chant, which is a spell of some kind, uses the Lord as a medium and temporarily places the Flume into a dormant state before storing it inside the box, which, by the way, is formed from the same material.

In more detail…well, the Lord becomes a conduit to complete a circuit between the two artifacts, and the spell acts like instructions given to the Flume, dictating that it should return to its small rock form and follow the path designated by the Lord's blood to its temporary housing.

Once done and stored inside the box, which is called a Floomium Cube, it can be safely moved to another place so long as the process is done within 30 minutes.

After thirty minutes, if the Flume hasn't been withdrawn and set back up, one of two things will happen: first, it will expand and return to its original size, and second…Boom.

YEP, it'll explode, which is also why it's impossible to move a Flume once it's set in place by any other means.

Thankfully, the Floomium Cube, which can ONLY be summoned by the way and not crafted, keeps the Flume in a stable form, allowing for displacement, and once the reversing chant is spoken and the artifact emerges from the box, it will automatically relink with the previously established connection to Terra and return to normal, only in a completely different location than originally intended.

---

Ten minutes after starting the chant, a jump through the Teleportation Array, and a mad dash across the cavern, Aoni arrived in the unfurnished basement of his Manor.

"Whew, still good on time, got about 20 minutes, gotta admit though, this shit's pretty nerve-racking; it's like walking around with a nuke-baby swaddled in my arms." Walking through the two rooms and making it into the farthest yet largest one in the basement, Aoni could feel the sweat accumulating at the small of his back.

Initially, he planned on chucking the box into his Inventory and calmly making his way to the cavern. However, right before he did so, his Attribute Notice stopped him. It warned that doing so would destabilize the Flume and cause an explosion due to the Inventory being housed in a pocket dimension outside of time and space.

Although he would remain physically okay, his only means of returning to Terra would be effectively severed, losing him his territory and all the perks that came with it.

On the one hand, it scared the shit out of the Lad, while on the other, it gave him a scary backup plan if left with no other option.

If ever the day came when he was forced to seal off his territory from Terra…he had a viable means of doing so without killing himself or anyone else he cared about.
