Chapter 1285: Chapter 1285: Donning the White Robe
Outside the Pavilion Main House.
There should have been thirty-two people stationed here.
But now, not a single soul!
Even the gates had been flung wide open.
Amadeus Fairbanks, holding his longsword, stood on the steps of Pavilion Main House, gazing coldly ahead.
Betrayal?
He hadn’t expected his words to come true.
These damn bastards were too restless.
Soon, a rush of footsteps approached.
Olivia Warm, along with the elders of the War Council, accompanied by a legion of guards, entered through the open gates into the Pavilion Main House.
“Pavilion Master, what are you doing with that sword in hand?”
Ellis Ridge, draped in a cloak, arms crossed, asked tauntingly: “Slaughtering a pig to invite us for dinner?”
The moment the words fell, a burst of laughter echoed among the crowd.
“Mr. Lake, show some respect when speaking to Mr. Fairbanks,” Olivia Warm interjected with a smile: “After all, he has been our old Pavilion Master for decades; let’s maintain some courtesy.”
“You’re right to reprimand me, Pavilion Master Warm,” Ellis Ridge said with an amiable nod, then fell silent.
“Pavilion Master Warm?”
Hearing their conversation, Amadeus pointed at Olivia Warm: “I am not yet dead, and you have already become Pavilion Master?”
“I’m sorry, I have no wish to sit on the Pavilion Master’s throne,” replied Olivia Warm as she turned to point at the crowd behind her: “But the brothers here insisted, leaving me with no choice!”
As the words ceased, Ellis Ridge draped a white robe over Olivia Warm.
What do you think?
