"Really, you did it."

Someone exclaimed in admiration, followed by another guy who chimed in.

"It was tough, man. We had to rush in five to barely drag him here."

"Well, we had to put in that effort for such a great quarterback."

At that comment, another guy laughed.

"Not anymore."

"Yeah, not anymore."

Another guy responded.

"Now he's an omega."

Josh looked at the last speaker with a frown. He looked familiar.

Soon he remembered who it was. It was that pathetic sports team trash who used to follow Emma around.

Memories then came back like a panorama, and one by one, the faces of the guys emerged in his mind. It wasn't just the ones who had harassed Emma and got beaten up by Josh and his crew; some faces from other schools mixed in too. Seeing this, Josh finally began to grasp the situation.

These bastards, not being able to do it alone, had ganged up for this.

"Don't you know that the basic spirit of a sportsman is fair play?"

As Josh sneered, the guys hesitated, looking at each other. Then, one of them said,

"I'm not a sportsman."

"And you're not one either."

Following that guy's remark, everyone burst into laughter. Josh's brow furrowed slightly. He realized that this wasn't just a simple mob lynching.

Then, belatedly, the word 'omega' they had thrown at him earlier came back to him. Simultaneously, one of the guys stepped forward and opened his mouth.
