Kiss Me if You Can

Vol. 2 Ch. 19.1

The mall, which was closed on a regular holiday, was deserted except for the occasional security guard. Employees took it for granted that they would rest, and coming to work on a holiday was a sin in any case. So when the announcement was first made that they would be looking for someone to work on this holiday, the employees all cursed.

“Are you crazy? Come and work on a holiday?”

“How great of a person are you to go shopping alone in a closed mall on a holiday? Why, buy the mall?”

They talked back and forth, and everyone agreed. They even offered to pay three times as much, but they still wouldn’t budge. The employees’ attitudes changed when they found out who was visiting on that holiday. And as soon as word got out, the number of employees volunteering to work increased several times.

Chase Miller.

He was the unknown visitor.

When Chase Miller’s secretary called to ask if he could rent the mall for a day, the manager thought it was a prank call. But after several confirmations, the mall was turned upside down.

“I’ll work. I don’t have anything to do at home that day anyway.”

“No, I’ll come out. I love this mall. I want to go to work all year long.”

“I get sick if I don’t go to work even for a day. I think it’s better if I come out.”

Everyone tried to come to work with various excuses. The only reason was to see Chase Miller. If not, how else would they see him in person? Also, once they found out that the visitor was Chase Miller, they could understand why he rented the entire mall on a holiday to shop.

Chase Miller could do that. No, he had to do that. There were fans everywhere who would die just to see him. And the mall employees were no exception.

Everyone’s interests were aligned, but the problem was that the competition rate had become extremely high. They asked their superiors to hire them, sometimes begging them, and sometimes appealing to their abilities, but nothing changed. The shopping mall, which was in a difficult position, instructed them to hire a small number of employees, excluding a few managers. Even so, there were only ten positions, but there were close to a hundred employees.

In the end, they tried their luck in various ways. They drew lots, flipped coins, and even played basketball.

The shopping mall was filled with employees who had been fiercely selected through such processes. They cleaned every nook and cranny, fixed their hair, and fixed their makeup several times, their hearts pounding, until Chase showed up.

“I can’t believe I’m actually seeing Dr. Flame.”

Another employee said to the employee who was panting and unable to hide his excitement.

“I wonder if the dye has faded? It’s been a while since filming ended. “I saw the article last time and he was blond.”
