Kiss Me if You Can

Vol. 2 Ch. 17.2

Josh frowned involuntarily at Henry’s subsequent question.

“Bouquet?”

“Do you need a bouquet? You’re a papa, too.”

“Ah.”

Henry soon lost his temper. Josh thought that he was surprisingly romantic. Henry, who was surprisingly handsome, might look good with flowers. When he thought that, Mark spoke.

“You’ll have a lot to prepare for the wedding, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask. I’m an experienced person. Can I call Janet? I was thinking about bringing my whole family here for a vacation.”

They received much more compensation than they had imagined, including the initial amount they had promised and the additional income from the contract extension. They were seriously talking about whether they could just sit around and do nothing for a year. Mark decided to take a long vacation with his family, Isaac decided to go to Canada, and Seth said he would figure out what to do next. Of course, these were conversations that Henry had had when he wasn't there. Henry, who didn't know that all the compensation had already been paid, was furious when he heard Mark's words.

"Why on earth do they give me compensation so little by little? You rich bastard."

Mark pretended not to notice Henry's complaints. This was the only way to prevent him from losing all his money in an instant through gambling. And the other members agreed. Thanks to this, Henry was the only one who didn't have any vacation plans. Despite that, he always gambled or drank away the money he received, so he didn't have any particular suspicions about the other members' vacation plans. Unlike him, the other members were all honest, so he naturally assumed that they would have savings.

Why do they gamble when they are so easily fooled?

Josh looked at Henry with both pity and doubt. Everyone else had the same thought. Mark casually changed the subject.

“Then I should find a place for my family to stay. Let me know when you have a schedule, Josh. Should Isaac postpone going to his parents’ house?”

“It’s not urgent, so it’s okay.”

Isaac answered in his usual calm tone. Mark turned his head and added jokingly.

“But who is the other person? It’s not someone we know, is it?”

“We all know each other.”

The atmosphere that had barely calmed down at Josh’s answer boiled over again.

“What, someone we know?”

“Alphande? Then a staff member?”

“No, that’s not the guy I met when I came to California last time. He’s not a movie staff member.”

Henry spoke after Isaac, who was surprised, and Seth shook his head coldly. Everyone simultaneously thought back to the last time Josh had been to California. It might not have been for work. If so, the scope expanded infinitely.
