Chapter 19 - 19 19 Cloud Island and the Ferocious Husky
Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Cloud Island and the Ferocious ‘Husky Chapter 19: Chapter 19: Cloud Island and the Ferocious ‘Husky Muria lifted his head. Despite the curtain shielding his room, making it slightly dim, sunlight filtering through the curtain gaps allowed him to see everything clearly.
“So white, so big.” Muria lowered his head to see where he had just been leaning, giving a very serious comment.
“Eh, young master Muria, you are awake.” Muria’s movement woke up Mia, the Dragon Maiden beneath him. This unusually brave maid looked at him in anticipation, “Don’t you want to sleep a little longer?”
“No need, I’ve slept enough.” Muria was full of energy and in high spirits, feeling exceptionally good. After all, upon waking, he was greeted with views that men might find quite wonderful.
Regardless, Muria left the arms of Mia, the dragon maiden, without any hesitation. It wasn’t because his self-control was high, but rather that such a beautiful sight to him was just that – something to appreciate and nothing more. His body did not allow him to do anything beyond that.
“I’m off.” Muria put on a robe, not sure if it was Mia who had removed it, then prepared to perform what he had planned before sleeping – practicing Titan’s combat techniques in battle.
“Will you come next time?” The dragon maiden, dressed in a thin silk nightgown, sits with herself revealing without a care. After all, the ones who could see her were her roommates and the young brat in front of her, young master Muria.
Hearing this question, the corners of Muria’s mouth twitched. He was only just now realizing that the dragon maiden that had held him throughout the night seemed to be an oddity compared to the others. All other maids, including head maid Sophia, were absolutely respectful towards him.
This one, however, was beyond just daring. Regardless of which dragon maiden it was, all knew of his identity – that of being a descendant of the Golden Dragon. Yet she dared to hold him throughout the entire night, absolutely reckless.
“You’re Mia, right?” While it was a question, Muria spoke confidently. He remembered clearly being awakened during his sleep.
“Yes, I am Mia. Mia Stoke.” The dragonkin girl excitedly nodded in response.
“Have you used any perfume?” Muria asked, tilting his head.
“Perfume?” Mia chuckled awkwardly, “Before coming here, I was just a daughter of a destitute noble. I’ve never used such extravagant items.”
“Oh.” Muria nodded, then murmured to himself in a whisper only he could hear, “So the scent I smell is a natural one.”
“Mia! I shall remember you.” Leaving behind those words, Muria disappeared out of the maids’ sight.
“Hey, Michelle, what did young master Muria mean?” After a silence, Mia nervously asked Michelle.
“Now you’re scared? How fearless you were before when you held young master Muria in your arms for the entire night.” Michelle rolled her eyes, “Don’t worry, young master Muria is the son of a Golden Dragon, even though we may not fathom his thoughts, no matter how we think about it, it should be in your favor.”
“Good thing? Hehe,” Mia began laughing foolishly upon hearing Michelle’s reassurance, “I wonder if I could sleep holding Muria in my arms every night.”
“Keep dreaming,” Michelle scorned.
…
Outside the Crystal Castle, the cool sea breeze of the early morning blew by. Muria stood before the castle gate, looking at the 24 single-knee Cloud Giant Guards standing before him. They were the guards protecting the castle gate.
“Is Commander Ebute on duty today?”
The 24 guards looked at each other, then one brave enough to answer said, “Commander Ebute is not on duty today.”
“Oh.” At first, Muria wanted to go find the familiar Commander, but then remembered the cloud giant leader Poton who had presented him with fine gold on the castle platform that day.
“How about Commander Poton?”
“He is also off duty today, your highness Muria.”
“Very well.” Hearing the answer, Muria smiled, spreading his almost twenty-meter-wide golden bat-like dragon wings. With a single flap of his wings, he took flight.
Muria picked a direction, flapping his strong and powerful dragon wings, heading towards the large, white complex of buildings – the residence of the Cloud Giants gathered around the Crystal Castle. He wanted to find both Ebute and Barton over there.
Whoosh, whoosh, when Prince Muria descended from the sky, folding his wings, the Cloud Giant gathering that had become somewhat noisy with the arrival of dawn instantly fell silent.
Soon after came a scene all too familiar to Muria, mature Cloud Giants of twelve meters and slightly smaller female Cloud Giants led numerous juvenile Cloud Giants of varying sizes to kneel in front of him, expressing their reverence.
This was a dwelling place for the Cloud Giants, with as many as three hundred male Cloud Giants living here, accompanied by their partners – a nearly equal number of female Cloud Giants, and a greater number of Cloud Giant children of varying ages.
Hence, a Cloud Giant gathering place would be home to at least a thousand Cloud Giants, and there were six such places on this island, each accommodating three hundred Cloud Giant Guards, totaling to one thousand and eight hundred Cloud Giants, guarding the Crystal Castle.
In fact, a gathering of this scale could only be found on the Titan Islands in the whole of Elasia, as Cloud Giants belonged to the Giant Race which preferred to live in small groups and didn’t like large gatherings.
The reason for this anomaly was Prince Muria himself. Muria came to understand the true reason for this after studying the relevant Titan resources.
The huge commotion had startled the managers here, and three Cloud Giant Leaders of fifteen meters in height hurried over. Afterwards, they spotted Prince Muria and simultaneously kneeled on one knee in front of him.
“Good morning, Commander Barton, Commander Albert, and Commander Saja.” Muria greeted them with a cheerful smile. He didn’t stop the Cloud Giants from paying respects to him anymore; he chose to accept such behaviour.
“Your Highness Muria. How may we serve you?” Albert, the Cloud Giant Leader, asked respectfully as he knelt.
“I’d like to practice Titan’s combat techniques on some ferocious wild beasts. I’ll need both of you to bring a few Cloud Giant Guards with me.” Muria knew well the saying, ‘He that has the gold, makes the rules,’ so naturally he would eliminate all possible threats to his life and only practice combat techniques under absolute safety.
“Titan’s combat skills.” Both Poton and Saja, the Cloud Giant Leaders, lifted their heads, their eyes lighting up at the sight of Muria. As close combat professionals, they were extremely eager to witness the “World’s Strongest Combat Techniques”.
Every close combat warrior in the world wanted to see Titan’s combat techniques. Of course, if they could learn it, that would be even better. However, that was nearly impossible. Because there was only one condition to learn Titan’s combat techniques, that is, to gain the recognition of a Titan.
Although they couldn’t learn it, to witness it would still be a great opportunity. However, to Saja’s disappointment, Muria gave direct orders to the other two leaders to follow him and excluded him.
On the Titan Islands, where there was abundant sunlight and water vapor, every island was filled with tall ancient trees, numerous plants, and a vibrant life force.
Muria, who is eight meters tall, leisurely strolled through an old forest filled with plants of all shapes and sizes, accompanied by a group of tall Cloud Giants adorned in splendid armor.
Despite the overgrowth of plants everywhere, vying for every bit of space, there were still many broad paths wide enough for giants, created by the wild animals living here.
“Commander Albert, Commander Barton, it seems that a lot of ferocious wild beasts live here,” Muria said, looking at the numerous large wild animal footprints on the ground and joking with the two Cloud Giant Leaders.
“The resources on the Titan Islands are too abundant, and coupled with the more concentrated elemental levels here as compared to other places, many ferocious wild beasts have been bred,” Commander Barton said, squatting down to look at the paw prints on the beast trail and stroking his goatee.
“Do you think too many ferocious beasts live here, Commander Barton?” Muria asked Barton, knowing that almost all the Cloud Giants at Crystal Castle had migrated from various parts of Elasia and were not native to the Titan Islands.
“Your Highness Muria, it’s not just ‘too many.’ It’s ‘many!’ The Cloud Island I previously lived on didn’t have this many ferocious wild beasts. It lives up to its reputation as the dwelling of the Titans.” Barton said, feeling a sense of admiration.
“Barton, no matter how many ferocious beasts there are, most of them are Bronze-level, and the strongest are just Silver Rank Five at most.” Albert, the Cloud Giant Leader, said contemptuously, holding his magic staff.
Every fully grown Cloud Giant could break through to the Gold rank, although it was just the lowest First Tier, but suppressing Silver-level ferocious beasts was more than enough. Furthermore, both of them, the Cloud Giant Leaders, were at the Gold stage three, and dealing with Silver-level beasts would be like sweeping up leaves.
“Cloud Island?” Muria turned his head, paid no attention to Albert’s words, and focused on a word Barton said, “Are you talking about the islands suspended in the sky?”
“Yes, Your Highness Muria.”
“I’d really like to see that.” Muria has been in Elasia for almost nine years, and he has seen many incredible things and creatures, but he was extremely curious to see the Cloud Island, which exists only in the fairy tales of his previous world.
“Your Highness Muria, we’ve found a wolf pack over here.” At this time, a shout came from a Cloud Giant in the distance.
When Muria, along with the two giant leaders, arrived at the pack of ferocious wolves surrounded by dozens of Cloud Giants, he was speechless at the sight of nine huge black wolves lying belly-up on the ground.
“Perhaps, I shouldn’t have brought so many Cloud Giants.” After seeing him and the two giant leaders, the nine giant wolves were frantically wagging their tails into a blurry illusion, Muria watched this scene and sighed helplessly.
What do you think?
