'There it is!' Nick thought as he saw the second Chief Engineer charging to the antimatter laser.

The battle had just started above Earth.

'No time to be stealthy!' Nick thought.

As the Chief Engineer reached the cave, Nick suddenly appeared behind it.

His blades penetrated the Chief Engineer's cortex, but Nick didn't stop there.

The Chief Engineers were only in the Eighth Realm, and they were not made for battle.

He kept attacking until it was definitely dead.

Then, his body enveloped the Chief Engineer, absorbing all of its biological knowledge.

In an instant, Nick charged towards the cave, sending the necessary credentials to unlock it.

The cave allowed Nick to enter, and he charged into the gigantic room.

The room was almost 300 meters wide and was just as high.

And in the middle of the room was a huge contraption.

Tubes and electrical wires stretched all across its metallic frame.

The tubes connected a black spherical storage to the opening at the end.

The antimatter laser.

Both Chief Engineers were dead, and without them, there was nobody who could use the antimatter laser.

Nick had done his job.

He had dealt with the antimatter laser.

If he wanted to, he could just run away and hide, leaving everything else to Daniel and the Nightmen.

Yet, Nick accessed the antimatter laser and commanded the cave to open.

The ceiling of the cave opened, and the antimatter laser shot to the surface in an instant.

Nick familiarized himself with the workings of the antimatter laser within an instant and activated it.

BOOOOM!

At that moment, Nick noticed a gigantic explosion on Earth.

When he saw that Asia was almost entirely destroyed, he knew that he had made the right decision.

'They are in trouble!' Nick thought. 'I have to help as much as I can!'

Nick sent the coordinates and commands to the antimatter laser.

Target: the big General!

Then, Nick fired.

A portal appeared in front of the antimatter laser, and Nick felt a gigantic surge of Pure Energy coming out of it.

'The Amorphous Race has improved the antimatter laser!' Nick realized.

They had given it some of their teleportation technology.

After all, the laser could only travel at lightspeed, and Earth was over 300,000 kilometers away.

This meant that the laser would need an entire second to reach its target, and within that second, the General could have moved to any place.

Luckily, this was not a concern, thanks to the portal technology.

A portal appeared behind the burly General, and Nick fired the laser.

BOOOM!

A five-meter-wide black beam shot out of the antimatter laser.

The beam shot through the portal and came out behind the burly General.

It hit.

BOOOOOOOOM!

A humongous explosion covered Earth's skies.

Daniel and the remaining Nightmen were pushed back by the explosion, burns appearing all over their bodies.

They had not been the target of the antimatter laser, but its power was still so powerful that they got injured.

Luckily, they weren't killed.

The explosion vanished an instant later, and they could see the burly General.

It was heavily injured!

All the chitin on its back was gone, and big chunks of purple blood were floating behind it.

The antimatter laser had caused more damage than all of their attacks combined!

When the Nightmen saw that, hope returned to their hearts.

They all knew what had happened.

Nick!

Nick had fired the antimatter laser at the enemy!

He had saved them!

"Attack!" Daniel transmitted. "The other one isn't here! This is our chance!"

Daniel was right.

The thin General was no longer there.

After all, a bigger danger had just appeared.

The antimatter laser.

This thing could fire up to ten times before reloading, and every attack was devastating.

Because of that, the thin General immediately shot toward the moon at full speed.

Nick activated the antimatter laser again, and it started to prepare.

Within an instant, Nick analyzed the result.

It would take a second to fire again.

Nick's entire body relaxed.

'That's too long,' he thought. 'The thin General is too fast.'

'It will arrive before the antimatter laser fires.'

Nick threw a glance at Earth.

Then, Nick pulled out his blade.

He turned to the black sphere at the bottom of the antimatter laser.

This was the antimatter storage.

'See you.'

Then, Nick's blades rammed into the antimatter storage.
