Just Twilight

The threatening undertone in his voice was softened by the sweetness at the end. Beomjin’s hand, which had been slowly running down her back, suddenly squeezed her hip, making Junyoung squirm and mumble something unintelligible.

"No, I really have a lot to do tomorrow. I need to look into Choi Yeongbok."

"Be careful with everything. And make sure you eat properly."

Beomjin’s hand moved up to stroke her hair. The warmth of his touch felt so nice that Junyoung instinctively burrowed deeper into his chest.

"Keep doing that."

"You’re more of a spoiled brat than I thought, Yoon Junyoung."

"You’re the only one in the world who gets to see it. Consider yourself lucky."

Beomjin let out a soft chuckle at her sleepy mumbling. Of course, he murmured, his breath brushing against her ear. With that comforting warmth surrounding her, Junyoung drifted back into sleep.

Later, when she woke up fully, she reached for her phone, intending to send a message, but instead, she pressed the call button. A low, familiar voice answered almost immediately.

"You’re awake?"

"You should’ve stayed for at least 24 hours. I thought I was dreaming!"

Beomjin’s quiet laughter filled her ears.

"I only meant to see you for a little while. I have a meeting in the morning."
