Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 981 981: A suspicious family

The sensation left him somewhat shocked… how was that possible? As this ability seemed to transcend his normal crafting prowess. The hammer's impact on the items he crafted not only improved their quality but also seemingly granted him an innate familiarity with these diverse weapon types.

"His skills aren't half bad," The woman in the darkness said. "It seems that he put a lot of restrictions on his abilities as well. Just like she said, he wasn't a true warrior, and the power of flames is actually the secondary effect of his relic."

"I still don't get it how these weapons work…" Terra said. "Anyway, it is a pity that Lotto is no longer with us. He was our best blacksmith."

Rain nodded… with Lotto there, he didn't have to worry about their gear, and he could trust on him completely to take care of that aspect. Now, there was no one else that could take his place… Rain would have to make do with what he had.

That group didn't need weapons like most groups, but having them would help a lot, and that was only the case when they weren't fighting dragons. When they were part of the equation, not using weapons would be insane. Still, it was obvious that the hammer had some connection with forging skills… Rain had the blacksmith skill, but the weapon didn't affect that one.

"With an effect of this level, it should be connected to a high-level path," Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I am already using my mana and stamina, leveling up a bunch of skills, so I don't have time to use more of it, but I can use my free time to improve my skills naturally. Let's see… these are the skills I need to equip."

After equipping some skills of the Adept Crafter path, Rain decided to make other equipment. Danny was fighting with his bare hands, even though he was using magic as well, so Rain made a pair of iron gloves for him.

The skill Crafting Mastery leveled up.

The skill Specialization leveled up.

The skill Advanced Techniques leveled up.

Rain nodded to himself in satisfaction… as he had expected, just making simple gear would grant him a lot of experience thanks to their quality. The logic behind this was simple, just like he would gain more experience by using techniques beyond his level before, thanks to the help of some gear, the hammer helped him with that as well. The only downside was the fact that he was using some mana.

"I guess it is time to move again. We have rested plenty," Rain thought. "Not making anything for the others is a pity, but I can make them on the next break."

Rain's thinking of the capabilities of the hammer and his crafting skills led him to envision the potential creation of various magical items. He understood that with his accumulated knowledge, coupled with the hammer's power and the utility offered by the Magic Scribe path, the combination might enable him to produce items nearly on par with relics containing spirits.

This realization made Rain understand the necessity of leveling up the Magic Scribe path beyond the level one hundred. However, he also acknowledged that this wasn't an immediate urgency. Since Rain had only recently equipped this path and the skills within were utilized primarily between battles, the urgency to expedite its leveling was not pressing at that moment.

Nevertheless, the prospect of enhancing his crafting capabilities and creating powerful magical items fueled his curiosity and motivation to further explore all this potential.

"Let's get going," Rain said.

"All right," Terra said, and then she began to stretch her body.

While Terra was doing that, Rain saw something glowing on her neck… he forgot about it, but under her shirt, she still had the red amulet that improved Terra's regenerating skills… Rain looked at Seara, and he also saw the blue amulet that he had given her.

Both of them were obtained on Rain's second visit to the demi-humans territory… he didn't think that they still would have them even after one hundred years.

When they noticed Rain's gaze, they looked at him with cold eyes… they thought that he was looking at their boobs when their kids were so close… they had so little faith in him.

"When did my reputation become this tarnished?" Rain thought.

Rain didn't even have time to complain since the group headed toward the next floor of the dungeon. The third floor of the dungeon exuded a magical charm, shrouded in a blanket of glistening crystals. Every inch was adorned with the shimmering allure of these radiant formations. The walls, floor, and ceiling were completely coated in crystal, creating a dazzling yet uneven landscape.

Despite the roughness and irregularity of the crystal formations, there was an undeniable air of elegance and allure that took over the entire floor. The play of light against the crystals cast a mesmerizing display, refracting and reflecting in myriad hues throughout the chamber.

The entire space resonated with a sense of grandeur and beauty, an atmosphere befitting the chosen base of the crystal dragons.

"My eyes…" Terra said while covering her eyes and groaning. "Even with the glasses, things are too hard to see here,"

In the end, Rain decided to use his domain against that because making darker glasses would make his family look like a bunch of mobsters.
