After getting a Shadow Tree Soldier to the peak of the Flesh Refinement Realm, Necro moved on to the evolution of the final Soldier. This led to another 25 Evolution Points being flushed down the drain.

Fortunately, the three Shadow Tree Soldiers actively hunting Demon Beasts right now gave him over 70 EP in a matter of seconds. Otherwise, he wouldn't have had enough to upgrade the two newest Soldiers.

"Go out and join the others," Necro ordered, his scary face glowing ominously. "Show those stupid beasts what happens to those who covet what's mine."

The only response the Shadow Tree Soldiers needed to give was them zipping toward the fights in the distance—something they did on the spot.

With everything involving his Soldiers out of the way, Necro shut his eyes and waited for the final results of the Demon Beast Massacre. At the same time, he kept up with the deaths of his own.

By the end of the massacre, hundreds of Demon Beasts had fallen in battle.

As for Necro's side, all of his Shadow Tree Soldiers died between 2 and 3 times. This naturally depleted his Spiritual Energy by quite a lot, but it wasn't too big of a deal.

With his Yggdrasil qualities, absorbing energies was what he did best. Therefore, restoring all the lost Spiritual Energy would be little more than a cinch.

Early in the morning, Bai Ning returned to where Necro was rooted. It was fair to say that she was more than a little surprised by his new appearance, even going so far as to compliment his improved fear factor.

"Did you do what I asked of you?" asked Necro, getting straight to the point.

"Of course, Lord Tree," replied Bai Ning. "But unfortunately, with my meager status as a Trial Disciple, I wasn't able to learn much more than the fact that there was indeed a Disciple of the Greenflame Sect who went by the name Yi Yu. A Senior Sister told me that she was quite the talent and was even in line for the Sect Master position, but a dozen odd years ago—during a Beast Tide—she… disappeared."

"At least, that's what my Senior Sister was privy to," Bai Ning added, ending the dramatic suspense. "As for anything beyond that, I would have to be far stronger and higher in position than I am right now—"

Whipping toward Bai Ning in an instant was one of Necro's newly acquired Level 3 Branches. At the very tip of the Branch was a shimmering droplet of golden liquid.

"L-Lord Tree, you're not playing with me, are you?" asked Bai Ning. "I may be naive, but even I know that Elixirs are astronomically expensive."

Necro unblinkingly stared at the disbelieving girl.

"If you don't want it, then so be it. It could've improved your strength, but it's fine—"

"Wa-Wait, Lord Tree! I'll take the Elixir!"

No matter if it was the real deal or not, if it could improve her strength, then Bai Ning wanted it!

"Open your mouth."

"Huh?"

"I said open your mouth."

Although Bai Ning was embarrassed, she ultimately did as she was told. And with a jittery stance, she felt something warm land on her tongue, causing ripples to spread through her voluptuous figure.

Moans echoed as the golden liquid circulated its essence in her insides. Every inch of her body started to glow before being refined.

But contrary to normal—and painful—refinement during the Body Refinement Realm, Bai Ning only experienced a wonderful wave of pleasure. It enveloped her whole being, wrapping her in a blanket of golden power that made her feel like she was floating on clouds.

After the Power Essence droplet finished its cycle, a girl was left kneeling. Her face was contorted in euphoria, with a goofy grin twitching as a result of the droplet's residual effects.

Her previous indifference was nowhere to be seen…

"Hmm…" Necro scrutinized the sorry sight before him, wondering why there was a strange liquid pooling out below the human girl. "Are you okay?"

"O…OKaY…~?" Bai Ning repeated with a sultry glint in her eyes. "NEvver BeEn BeTTEr~..."

"I see," Necro noted. "Well, regardless, your power has improved greatly. You should be strong enough now to increase your standing in the Greenflame Sect."

"!?!?"

Checking her cultivation immediately snapped Bai Ning out of her euphoric reverie.

She practically erupted in joy while shouting, "I'm actually in the Flesh Refinement Stage now?? Something that should've taken months to accomplish has actually been obtained in an instant!"

"Yes," Necro said nonchalantly. "Now then, you should return to the Greenflame Sect. If anyone asks about your increase in power, then simply tell them you encountered a fortuitous opportunity or something along those lines. Don't mention anything about me."

"Naturally, Lord Tree!" Bai Ning bowed, still overflowing with excitement. "Thank you so much for your generosity! I'll be going now!"

Necro nodded with his spherical head, reentering a deep slumber not long after her departure.
