Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System

Chapter 311 311: Xyla, The Weakling's Master

"Why won't you eat, weakling? You're awake," Xyla said while poking Cassius's bloody cheeks. "Eat. Food is good."

"???" 'Does she actually know I'm awake?? Or is she just testing me??? If I open my eyes right now, will she behead me or lock me up somewhere???'

He didn't possess enough knowledge about the place he was in to fully understand the way they went about things. He was most afraid that they'd chop off his balls and mighty dragon if they discovered that he was awake. Because why else would a mother and father permit a grown, unknown man around their young daughter??

Even if it was a very primitive world, no parents were stupid enough to allow such a thing!

So what if he was weaker!? It still wouldn't make any sense for parents to let a fully 'functional' man stay around their kids!

It was fair to say that the Idle Evolution System had given Cassius PTSD when it came to his privates…

Even with a robust Will of the fantastical Diamond Rank, that fear of his lingered…

And when considering how many stories he'd heard of eunuchs being the only males allowed to be around daughters of influential households, his fears were totally reasonable. Non-consensual castration was certainly an outcome with a high enough probability.

Taking him out of his stupor was the soft, mouse-like voice of his 'captor':

"Open your eyes, Weakling," Xyla said as she leaned and pried open his eyelids. "You're awake. Eat."

"!!!"

Cassius—now knowing with 100% certainty that the gig was up—opened his eyes. He tried casting a water spell over himself, but similar to when he first entered the Land of Beginnings, the spell didn't work; it didn't even so much as show signs of working. And instead of forcing something that was evidently deemed fruitless behavior, Cassius shifted his gaze toward the short, cute girl kneeling beside him.

"How'd you know?" was the first thing he asked while leaning up. "I believe even your mother and father were fooled, so what makes you so special?"

Question marks appeared above Xyla's head as she seemed to be having a bit of trouble comprehending what he said. He spoke a lot faster than she was used to, faster than anyone in the Village.

Yet, when the information finished compiling inside her mind, she became even more confused.

"Not special," Xyla said, humbly shaking her head. "Knew you were awake because you hungry." She pointed at his stomach, making weird gestures. "Rarwggh! Like that your stomach made sounds."

'Did it really??'

It had just been so long since Cassius had to bother himself with hunger—over 60 years to be exact—that he hadn't even noticed when symptoms of hunger appeared in him. This also brought up another matter of concern:

"Sleepy… I'm all of a sudden feeling so sleepy," he muttered with a groggy expression. "What a nostalgic feeling…"

Xyla's chubby cheeks suddenly filled with air. "No sleep yet," she said while slapping him across the face with her meat. "Here, eat."

Cassius completely overlooked the slight stinging sensation on his left cheek, with his apathetic gaze focused on the ridiculously strong girl.

"Why?" he asked plainly.

"Because food is good," Xyla insisted. "Here, eat."

*Whack!*

She slapped him in the face with her meat once again. She made sure not to hurt him too badly, only showing him enough strength to discipline him.

Weaklings never learned without proper discipline; this was what her father told her many times before.

However, yet again, Cassius remained unresponsive to the slap and the pain. He blankly glanced at the huge slab of meat before looking back at the innocent young girl. "Must I really eat this?" he asked calmly. "I'm not entirely sure that my stomach can withstand the edible products of this wor—place just yet—"

"Weakling, eat," Xyla repeated with another meat slap. She obviously hadn't understood anything he said. She only knew that she had to get her weakling to eat soon, lest he starve and die.

Many weaklings in the Village had died in similar ways before. She, however, didn't wish for her weakling to die. And to make strong, lively weakling, needed to feed it.

Finally realizing that he was getting nowhere in this conversation, Cassius sighed and took the meat. He could just barely lift it up at the expense of straining the muscles in both his arms, but he still did it. And although it wasn't done very gracefully, he managed to gnaw off a small piece of the meat slab. He then went through a period of great difficulty while attempting to chew the tough, bristly meat.

After chewing the last of it and swallowing, Cassius opened his mouth through a grimace. "See?" he said. "All gone. I ate what you wanted me to, so now can you please answer a few of my questio—"

"Here, eat more," Xyla said with a meat slap. "Eat until gone."

'I guess fcking not!' Cassius thought in annoyance as he unwillingly snatched the meat slab back and took another bite out of it. 'Although this kid has good intentions, that doesn't mean I'm hating this degrading act any less.'

Right now, he felt more like a naughty, misbehaving pup than a mean, green, grinding machine…

— After 30 minutes and the disappearance of one stupidly large meat slab —

"C… Can you finally answer some questions of mine…?" Cassius asked while feeling like he was going to barf. With a disproportionately bloated stomach and a green complexion, he wobbled left and right, trying to find his footing.

"Eat, good," Xyla said with a radiant smile. "Now time for potying!"

"...No… Just no," Cassius declared, drawing a line right then and there. However, seeing as the overpowered girl's smile was gradually fading, he thought fast and proposed an alternative to defecating in public. "How about a game? I know of a game that you and I can play. You'll love it."

"A game!?" Xyla understood that word; she understood it very well. She furiously nodded, with her eyes creased up into joyous crescents. "Game! What's it called!?"

Cassius smirked, having successfully baited the fish. "The game is called… Truth or Dare."
