Impossible Between Us

The pitter patter of the heavy rain did nothing to stop the desperate and desolate soon to be mother. She had had nothing since morning and was now trying to escape the insensible pot bellied street lord who was chasing to violate her despite her condition. She staggered and fell on the tared road but still bit her lip and got back to her feet. 

" Dear baby, please bear with mommy okay. Hang in there for a little longer."

The pain in her eyes was very obvious as each step became torturous. With wobbly legs and battered body she lost herself. 

Next she opened her eyes was in a ward. She could here the passing nurses whispering something about her.

"How strong is she? When I look at her I know she's not from here and it's obvious she treked all the way."

"Yeah you are right. The baby is quite strong too."

The passing voices died down and she tried to prop herself up only to feel a dull pain on her lower abdomen. She fell down on the bed with tears coursing down her pale but beautiful face. She turned her neck to the cradle by her and a minute figure curled up into a ball.

"She's a girl. Live well and remember me." 

With tears streaming down her face, she forced herself up despite the caesarian section she underwent.

'I can't wait here to die with this innocent...' Her thoughts were interrupt by a knock. She quickly run to the washroom.

"Please I'm using the washroom."

The nurse was stunned. Exactly how strong is this woman? She walked several miles to this hospital and after a caesarian section she still has spare energy to roam around actively.

Wait, no one has come to ask of her. Who is she and where are her relatives? 

"Miss please the dosage of each peel has been attached make sure you take them when you come out. I'll check on you later." The nurse shouted to her and left.she came out and wrapped the medicine in a piece of cloth lying in the table. She held the innocent curly ball, kissed her goodbye and left. She didn't know how she came in but all that mattered now was to leave. Only in this way can she save herself and her baby.
