I'm a hidden boss

Bishop chess [1]

On Monday it was time for the second year demonstration.

The demonstration is divided into 2 areas.

Group and individual combat.

Individual combat is about class leaders.

And in the group it is a combat in which the group leader can only command the other students.

Although Arnold being the leader is very strong he is not very good at commanding so class C lost their fight against class A in the group battles.

Now in the final the fight between class C and class D is taking place.

Bishop is watching the match from the second-year stands until a blonde first-year student appears staring at her.

Evan, the protagonist of the game "Hero's Roar," sat down with surprising ease next to Bishop. Bishop gave him a brief glance, barely a moment before turning his attention back to the battlefield, displaying almost total indifference.

However, Amelia wasn't so discreet. Her madness, simmering since Hedius's summoning, manifested itself with sudden fury. "Hey!" she exclaimed, her voice resonating with dangerous intensity. "These are the second-year stands, rookie! How dare you sit next to my sister?" The latent threat in her words was undeniable.

Evan, unfazed by Amelia's fury, responded with a calmness that belied the situation. "I just want to speak with Superior Bishop," he said, his gaze fixed on the impassive figure of Count Chess's daughter. The tension in the air was palpable.

Even though Bishop was calm, Amelia couldn't hold it in any longer and angrily yelled at Evan.

"Do you think you are worthy?"

The deathly silence that had followed Amelia's words was broken by the metallic clink of steel. Amelia had drawn her sword, the blade gleaming menacingly in the sunlight. But before the tip could even graze Evan's skin, a hand stopped her. It was Bishop's hand, surprisingly nervous. His fingers, normally firm and sure, trembled slightly as he held his sister's arm.

"What... what's wrong?" Bishop asked, his voice unusually uncertain, a stark contrast to his usual serenity. The question seemed directed at Evan, but his gaze, slightly disoriented, seemed to be searching for something else, something beyond the others' view.

Evan, unfazed by Bishop's sudden display of nervousness and Amelia's open fury, responded with his trademark calm. "If Senior Arnold is one of Class C's chosen, why is Senior Bishop here? The strongest in each class can't refuse to participate."

Evan reached out toward Bishop, his target, the glasses that hid most of his face. But Evan's hand hovered in midair. Bishop's immense strength, even without resorting to his demonic power, stopped the gesture with a force that surprised Evan.

Amelia's pent-up fury exploded then. With a roar, she swung her sword as sharply as she'd drawn it, placing it with surgical precision at Evan's neck. "Damn you, brat! Don't you dare touch my sister!" she screamed, her voice filled with an uncontrollable rage that echoed throughout the training yard.

But Bishop's gaze had shifted. His golden eyes were fixed on his holographic display, intensely observing the data appearing. He was looking at Evan's condition.

Bishop didn't know that on the Rose Route Evan was able to obtain the Heroic Soul ability.

That is a skill in which the hero of the past helps the current hero.

But the problem is that Evan is a magician and Heinrich is a swordsman, which is why it is impossible for Heinrich to answer Evan's call.

Besides that, Heinrich could see that I am strong and perhaps he could see the demonic power within me.

Heinrich's voice echoed in Evan's mind, cold and precise as steel: 'You must retreat. Both of them possess demonic power, but they keep it under control, something no human could achieve.' Evan's expression turned serious, the joviality he had displayed moments before dissipating like fog before the sun. In his mind, he asked his ancestor a direct question: 'She's a demon, isn't she Bishop Chess?'

Heinrich, the ghostly image that only Evan could see, seemed to ponder for a moment. His ethereal, barely perceptible figure shifted slightly. “She’s definitely human,” he finally replied, his voice resonating with a mixture of awe and certainty, “but her demonic power is exceptionally pure. Furthermore, her technique for concealing it is… superior to anything I’ve ever seen. If it weren’t for the very purity of her power, I wouldn’t have sensed her.”

Heinrich's spectral hand, a pale, almost translucent image, turned to walk away, as if trying to dissipate into thin air. But something stopped its movement. He felt Bishop's piercing gaze, an invisible weight that settled over him, a chill that ran through his ghostly form. With palpable awe in his voice, Heinrich whispered into Evan's mind, "You have to get out of here. She... she can feel me."
