Chapter 2226: Miyama Kaito's Birthday Celebration Party ㉘
The number that came out when I spun the garapon was 2. This wasn’t an EX or anything like that, it was simply one of the numbers I drew when I selected 5 people to whom I’d be receiving presents, even though I didn’t really know the details at the time.
And the moment I recognized that number…… the lights went out, and everything was suddenly plunged into darkness.
Then, as if on cue, a spotlight-like beam shone down…… and to my amazement, the entire scene around me had transformed. It was like a massive concert hall, complete with a stage fitted with a huge monitor, and I was standing in a slightly open space at the end of a flower path that extended from the stage.
……Eh? Wait, what's going on!?
Panicked, I looked around. The others were sitting in the audience seats, all wearing similar expressions of bewilderment, clearly just as lost as I was about the sudden turn of events.
After a few moments, music began to play. It was a lively pop song, something you'd expect from an idol performance.
As a particularly bright light lit up the dim stage, a silhouette appeared…… But due to the backlight shining from behind the stage, I could only make out the outline…… I couldn’t tell who it was, but it looked like they were dancing.
Then, colorful searchlights swept through the venue, and several floating spheres with cat ears…… similar to the speaker I’d received earlier, except the speaker part had been replaced with a lens like a camera, flew through the air.
As those cat-eared devices shone beams of light into the sky, holograms like something out of a sci-fi movie began to appear, lighting up the venue in a dazzling display.
How should I say this…… It had this near-futuristic concert vibe. I had no idea what was going on, but the visuals were so flashy and eye-catching that I couldn’t look away.The others looked similarly amazed, their eyes glued to the holographic flower petals and sprays of water blooming in the air.
The music’s volume gradually increased, and the tempo became more intense and fast-paced. At that moment, several of the cat-eared devices clustered together and aimed their lights toward the space above the stage.
<VIR>
Colorful 3D letters appeared via hologram. The lights on the stage went dark, hiding the dancer from view, and then colorful lights began to zip wildly across the stage, occasionally illuminating glimpses of hands and feet moving in a dance.
<TUAL>
The rainbow-colored lights ricocheted through the air, enhancing the electronic atmosphere even further.
<AN>
The music seemed to hit its chorus, ramping up in intensity as holographic shooting stars streaked across the sky.
<GEL>
Once all those large holographic characters had appeared, the giant monitor blazed to life. I’d never witnessed it myself, but it looked just like the flashy jackpot scenes from pachinko or slot machine videos I’d seen online, the kind that really explodes with light and color.
And then the monitor displayed a single word:
<ELECTRONE>
The moment that word appeared, a seven-colored explosion erupted behind the stage, and all the lights that had been illuminating various parts of the venue suddenly converged at the center of the stage…… where a woman stood, striking an idol-like pose with her hands forming a heart.
Her outfit was straight out of a sci-fi flick…… arms covers equipped with tiny monitor-like displays, chunky high-tech shoes that looked like they might launch her into the air, and a glossy jacket and skirt that shimmered with glowing lines, possibly LED-lit to trace the design. On top of that, her whole outfit was adorned with what looked like digital embellishments, and the entire ensemble radiated with light, yet somehow, it wasn’t blinding.
Her long hair added to the surreal vibe, shifting colors in a smooth, rhythmic pattern like a gaming PC on RGB overdrive…… There was just so much going on visually that I didn’t even know where to begin processing it all!?
……H- How should I say this…… We've got quite the outrageous one here……
<Afterword>
Serious-senpai : [There’s no need to even think about it, she’s absolutely hyped out of her mind. She's the Die-Hard Devotees' Hardcore Fan God after all……]
