Chapter 10: Reversel Mirror
Chapter 10 - Reversel Mirror
Back with the Elders:
Xing Tian finished explaining and said, "So this is what happened. What should we do now?"
Thomas crossed his arms and said, "So you're saying that your daughter-in-law dropped her blood on the stone, but your grandchild's talent was so powerful that the Talent Stone couldn't handle it—and that's why it broke?"
Xing Tian nodded.
Gu Jian scoffed. "What the hell are you saying, man? Do you think we'll believe this nonsense? The Talent Stone broke because it couldn't handle your grandchild's power?"
"Stop now. Who are you yelling at? Show some respect—you know who he is," Minamoto said firmly.
Gu Jian pointed and argued, "Do you really believe what he's saying? How can the Talent Stone—one of the ten mythical treasures humanity possesses—just break like that?"
Minamoto stayed silent for a while, lost in thought.
Hearing this, Xing Tian grew angry. He released his spiritual pressure and shouted, "What are you trying to say? That I broke the stone?"
The ground began to shake from his overwhelming aura.
Su Yan thought to herself, Oh no. He's pissed off that old man. Now we're dead for sure. I have to calm him down—but how? My charm technique doesn't work on him. There's only one hope left. She looked at Thomas and thought, You're the smartest one here. Please save us this time.
"Everyone, stop now. Xing Tian, that includes you," Thomas commanded loudly.
Su Yan let out a breath of relief. "Uff... at last, I'm safe now."
Xing Tian withdrew his spiritual pressure, and Gu Jian said nothing further. The situation calmed down.
"This matter is serious. You all know that. So why are we fighting like this now?"
"That's exactly what I'm trying to say," Gu Jian replied. "You know the stone is a mythical treasure. It can't break from just a drop of blood, no matter how talented the blood's owner is."
"You also need to stop talking. Are you accusing him of breaking the stone?"
"No. I'm just trying to understand what really happened. Why did the stone break?"
"So you want to know what happened? Aren't you also an elder of this ceremony? Then tell me—how did the stone break?"
"I... I don't know."
"Why not? What were you doing at the time? Did you forget that our first priority is the Talent Stone?"
Then Thomas walked up to Gu Jian and said, "I can't believe you were the one who brought UNO from the modern continent... and played it with us when the ceremony started. Now I'm beginning to think that you were the one who broke the stone and used the game to distract us."
"No, I wasn't! What would I gain from breaking the stone?"
"Then what would he gain by doing it? Let's stop this now. Or I swear, I'll do something to you that you'll blame me for your entire life."
Gu Jian turned pale. He knew Thomas was a man of his word. "Okay, I'll stop," he said, stepping away from Thomas.
Then Thomas turned to the other elders. "Let's talk now and figure out how to fix this problem. You all know how important the Talent Stone is. It's the only way we can test our next generation's talent. And now it's broken. We have to find a way to fix it."
"But how?" Xing Tian asked. "You know how powerful mythical treasures are. We've never heard of one being repaired before."
"That's what I'm saying—we have to try to find a way," Thomas replied.
Everyone fell into deep thought.
Suddenly, Su Yan brightened. "I got it! I've found a way to fix the stone!"
Everyone looked at her in shock. Thomas stepped closer. "What did you find? How can we fix it?"
Su Yan, smiling proudly, pulled a small white bottle from her space ring.
Gu Jian asked, "What is that?"
"It's called Super Glue. A friend of mine brought it from the modern continent. You can fix anything with this glue!"
Thomas stared at the bottle. Should I laugh... or get angry?
Seeing no response from Thomas, Su Yan asked, "Why don't you say anything? Don't you like my idea?"
Thomas finally laughed. "Hey, crazy woman. Do you even know what Super Glue is and how it works?"
"Yes! You can stick a lot of things with Super Glue!"
"I know that. But do you understand that what we need to fix is a mythical treasure? Super Glue can't handle the stone's power. It would melt instantly from the stone's heat."
All this time, Minamoto had been deep in thought. Suddenly, an idea struck him. "I've found a way to fix the stone," he said.
Gu Jian muttered, "What is it now? Don't tell me you came up with the same idea as the old fox over there."
"Hey! I'm not a fox! And I'm not that old either! Don't call me old again or I'll kill you!"
"Enough, both of you," Thomas interjected. "Minamoto, go ahead. What's your idea?"
"I've been thinking. What if we use another mythical treasure to fix this one? The Talent Stone is a mythical treasure, right?"
"Your idea sounds good. But how? And which mythical treasure would we use?" one elder asked.
"Did you forget that you have the

"Still, we should try," Minamoto said. "It might work."
Thomas sighed. "If you insist, fine. I'll try to fix it."
He pulled out the

"What now?" Thomas asked.
"Did you forget? There's a rule when using the

"Is that even a question? I did all of that for this reward."
