The dragon, having moved forward, suddenly started looking around, searching for the people who had disappeared.

The dragon turned in a circle, as if searching for the people it had crushed.

Whether it was stupidity or sharpness, it seemed to be confused about Viretta’s disappearance.

Then, the dragon caught a whiff of blood and turned its head.

There, where the dragon turned its gaze, lay a large buffalo that had been drugged and fallen asleep, along with the corpse of another buffalo, bleeding heavily.

The large buffalo that had been killed in advance, so that it wouldn’t cause a commotion when the dragon discovered it, exuded a strong scent of blood that made the dragon’s nostrils flare.

‘I’ve been found.’
