Chapter 133
"Mother's raspberry pie is always so delicious."
In the afternoon, after saving the earth, David and Clark returned home and wolfed down their meal. Clark gave a satisfied thumbs-up after taking a big bite.
"Slow down and enjoy your meal."
The two grown-up children had just returned safely after saving a city. Martha smiled with satisfaction, feeling proud of her two sons.
Father Jonathan sat nearby, sipping on his tea and couldn't hide his smile.
He was proud of raising his two sons, who were heroes in saving the city from extraterrestrial monsters.
"Mom, you guys take these two rings."
After the battle with Parasite, which consumed a lot of energy, David finally recovered after a hearty meal at home. He lay back and patted his stomach, remembering the two Green Lantern Rings placed on the table.
"Are these the alien rings you guys have?"
"No, these are different rings..."
He briefly explained the situation.
The couple couldn't help but feel at a loss when it came to their son being used and having over a dozen rings stolen by those hypocritical cosmic guardians.
Running a farm, they inevitably dealt with all kinds of people and knew that sometimes, "official personnel" did not represent justice and the right side.
For example, the U.S. military that wanted to abduct their eldest son for experiments.
"David, if you took their rings, won't they come looking for trouble?"
Jonathan sat up straight, frowning slightly.
When it came to matters involving the entire universe, it was worrying, as it could potentially involve Earth.
"They won't dare to start a war easily. Those guardians have already compromised."
David reassured his parents not to worry about this matter, as long as they learned how to use the rings for self-defense.
After dinner, in the small courtyard.
Watching their parents use the rings to simulate a tractor, lawnmower, watering can, and scissors, they played with joy and excitement, as if they were office workers who hadn't had the chance to go to an amusement park for a long time after going to work.
"What a magical ring, like a universal toolbox."
Father Jonathan marveled at the variety of wrenches and screwdrivers created by the ring, feeling amazed by the rings his son brought back.
"Whatever you need, you can create it at your fingertips, without having to search in the attic. It's just too convenient."
What do you think?
